  1. We've deferred the last several games. And we're really getting off to slow starts the last 2 games in the first half. Is it possible we're just getting some reads on their defense and our offensive attack kicks in gear in the second half? Sounds silly but really, our second half offense has been so much better. Yesterday's first half was really bad, prior to the final 2 minutes. And by the way - I have no issue with deferring, and it's better that way if Chan knows our Offense is a slow starting group. About Fitzy. I've noticed his bad throws come near the end of the game. He threw 50 something balls yesterday. He was really accurate the first 3 quarters. Again, I pose another question; is it possible he is throwing his arm out by the end of the game, hence the inaccurate balls? Ya know, when ya lose your strength ya lose your accuracy. Just seems odd that he can be so accurate early in the game and then so off really late in the game. That indicates that he's either choking in critical spots (although I've seen the contrary in other games, last week's come back drive) or he doesn't have the arm strength late in the game to make the tight throw necessary (that pass to Stevie Johnson yesterday in the 4th quarter that was picked off). Too bad our running game wasn't more effective. Fitzy isn't good enough to be throwing 50 balls a game.
  2. Yep - just got the txt. Terrence McGee Andra Davis Shawn Merriman Aaron Maybin Ed Wang Alex Carrington John McCargo Pretty sad that Maybin or Carrington STILL can't get on the field. And is Terrence McGee just ALWAYS hurt.
  3. Can we blame Jeron for drafting Spiller, Troup and Carrington as well??? First, it's spelled Jauron. Second, I guess you missed the part where I said "SUPPOSED picks of a coach who isn't here anymore."
  4. I love when this player is brought up. The story is always different. Regardless -- the outcome is the same. And I always dream about these guys on our D and where we'd be right now: Ngata, Wake, Orakpo (or Clay Matthews, take your pick) and now Merriman We'd still need help at LB but our secondary might be able to pick some balls off with decent pressure applied by any combo of those guys mentioned above. But I don't blame the Bills entirely. Hindsight is 20/20. They wanted Wake but they had no idea he'd be this good. Whitner and Maybin were supposed picks of a coach who isn't here anymore. Oh well. Onward and upward, boys Thank you for this. Clarifies a lot for those who don't know the story. I remember watching this guy's Youtube clips when this story was originally floating around. Youtube clips mean nothing but I was sure impressed with his athleticism. Just curious - how many guys transition from the CFL to the NFL as successfully as Wake has? Gotta be a low number. And are there any guys lighting it up in the CFL right now? Not even sure if their season has started.
  5. It's not available anywhere guys. Keep an eye on buffalobills.com, they'll have the video clips and sound bytes.
  6. Check this line out: "By the way, the Panthers are on pace to score 194 points, which would be the sixth-lowest total since 1994 (see sidebar). The five sub-194 teams finished a combined 13-67. Maybe the UFL should be issuing rapper-like challenges to the Panthers, not the Bills." This was after discussing his worst ranked team, the Carolina Panthers.
  7. Fairley has looked awesome the past few weeks. And I don't typically notice defensive linemen in college unless they're killing opponents. This guy was killing opponents 2 weeks ago on National TV.
  8. I like this move for a variety of reasons.
  9. Coach Tuesday - this is a thread that I've been meaning to post for weeks. I didn't know who they drafted but I knew one thing - they weren't making much of a difference. I did know of Donald Brown, who hasn't done squat. And for all those mentioning Collie and Garcon, their success can be credited to Manning who has been working diligently with them. I'm guessing he could make it work with a lot of receivers. I was just thinking the other day - the Colts have had their franchise, all-time great QB for several years now and you would think by now they would have several guys of note stepping up on Defense but that's not the case at all. They got a great one in Freeney and Mathis seems good but there really aren't many names on that defense. And it seems their offensive line has been in transition for a few years now. I don't know what this proves other than the draft is a crap shoot and that's why New England trades down every year to stock pile picks. No coincidence that they have 2 first rounders, 2 second rounders and 2 third rounders. Get as many picks as possible because outside the top 3 - the percentages go down dramatically. And even in that top 3 you will get your occasional bust.
  10. People seem to forget how many plays Fitz makes with his feet. Brohm would get buried back there.
  11. Yep Fitz was Fitz, he only led us down the field to tie the game when we needed it.
  12. Agreed. It's very reminiscent of the hate tossed at Flutie during his run with the Bills.
  13. It will never happen because they would look like tards for doing this since they gave him a new contract but cutting him tomorrow would make me happy. Admit 2 huge failures and cut Chris Kelsay and Cornell Green. Your team immediately becomes better via addition by subtraction.
  14. Thank you for the positive thread. The negative stuff is bringing me down. But I have to correct you - they did not show up for 5 quarters. The first half was brutal. We did NOTHING on offense (50 something yards). Thankfully they picked it up in the second half.
  15. Somehow Aaron Maybin made Yahoo's front page in an article about being the NFL's worst player. How embarrassing for Maybin. I know he's bad but c'mon, he can't be the worst, right?
  16. 10 Years? LOL.
  17. yep. pretty predictable
  18. I don't think winning is a priority right now. And I'm not trying to be one of those guys who say "Ralph doesn't want to win!" They want a top 3 pick is what I'm trying to say.
  19. Coach Sal is on fire tonight. I haven't watched him since the Cowher rumors. He is a great personality to listen to and watch. And I love that bit of news that he broke about Buddy and Chan telling EVERYONE in the organization this past June that they don't care about their opinions.
  20. Thanks. Watching now.
  21. wow, impressive thread.
  22. Nope, nothing changes. This was all part of Nix's plan. BOTTOMING OUT. If you guys can't see that at this point, well.. I'm not sure what to tell you. The thing you guys keep forgetting is Nix isn't responsible for our past draft failures.
