  1. Missed it by THAT much. And you started so well, too.
  2. Yep. Isaac on Sports Night was a very solid character. It was a very good show & probably had scripts twice as long as the typical ones filling 30 minute time slots. Darn shame it was canned so quickly.
  3. Cheers WKRPin Cincinnati Taxi Hill Street Blues The Rockford Files The Odd Couple
  4. They probably could've even lost Norm if they picked the right replacement, but they'd've had to nail the replacement. Woody replacing Coach was inspired casting. Losing him would've killed lesser shows. IMHO, the show was even better.
  5. Well it did have Robert Guillaume (Benson) in it, though he was only in a supporting role. But, yeah it was a pretty unknown cast. Personally, I typically prefer shows that do that - spend their money on the writing and get talented unknowns for the cast. (Kind of like the way Cheers did.)
  6. Started watching it late in the 2nd season. Really unhappy when they killed it off. Got the full series on a 3 CD set and watch it every couple of years.
  7. Another excellent call.
  8. The ratings that summer for the 2nd run of Season 4 were huge & CBS considered bringing it back but Howard Hessman had already signed on for his series (Head of the Class, maybe?) and a couple of other regulars also had committed to other projects. Such a shame - IMHO was the best TV show ever. A couple other nominees that haven't been mentioned yet. Soap - only 3 seasons long. And Taxi - only 5 seasons but the 5th was on NBC after ABC punted it.
  9. So, you're guess is that he was gather ingintel on someone other than Trump but that person/people could or could not be related to Trump. Guess that's fair enough.
  10. Was he sent into the "wild" to record Trump, someone on Trump's team, or someone else unrelated to Trump?
  11. Most likely because those will be relatively easy to reauthorize and the others would be much harder to reauthorize. Just spitballin'.
  12. Fair enough. Will be sending you a PM later tonight.
  13. They might let it happen initially, but once the parents of kids getting beaten up &/or having things stolen start showing up at the board meeting that decision will get changed awfully quickly. THOSE parents will be loud. Really having a hard time wrapping my head around this if it's true.
  14. Argue it, sure. That's believable. But how many Tibs/Gators have to be in the audience! or worse a decision maker, to get that argument to fly.? It's like a bad Simpsons episode. Specifically the one where Sideshow Bob convinces the Parole Board that his "Die Bart Die" tattoo was actually just German "the Bart the". "Well anyone who speaks German can't be all bad." (Nevermind that die is a female article & Bart is male (though voiced by Nancy Cartwright). It should've been der Bart.)
  15. It is disgusting (again, if true). But how is there not a single whistle blower that's taken seriously by more than a single random reporter? NONE of the non-school board member parents knew anything of this? Good Christ, at my district there would've been parent protests if something like this happened. People DON'T take stuff like that regarding their kids lying down. Especially if kids are getting beaten up but the fights aren't showing up on security cams. Parents here would be beyond livid.
  16. Seriously? IF true, how the f### does something like this stay under anybody's radar for years? There had to literally be dozens, if not hundreds, of people that knew this was going on.
  17. Wow. IF that article turns out to be true the sheriff & school chief should be on trial for complicity in a mass murder. That is so far beyond cynical. Hoping it isn't accurate/correct.
  18. The bolded is what you took from those posts? Thatis truly sad. There are myriad things we can change to do better and several of those have been discussed to great extent in several of these repetitive threads. But YOU (& your ilk) don't care about any but 1 solution. "We just need reasonable gun laws" is the rallying cry. Well, we were told in the past these current laws that don't get enforced are reasonable. Which is how we got the current laws. Some of us will continue to believe the existing laws are reasonable until they are ACTUALLY enforced & shown not to be effective. IF that pointis reached, then let's consider what changes to the laws on the books are reasonable & necessary. Until it is, many of us won't believe your proposals are in good faith. And if they aren't in good faith, no one will sit at the table with you.
  19. Yes, they did not work because the people charged with enforcing the existing laws and expected to do their jobs didn't do what they were supposed to do. Your solution to people not properly enforcing existing laws is to enact additional laws. How about, prior to passing additional laws that past actions/evenrs indicate won't be enforced properly either, we actually enforce the existing laws & then see where we're at? And lets absolutely try enforcing current laws before we go nuclear and eviscerate the 2nd amendment. OK?
  20. Yeah, that does seem to be about $3k more than Clinton's campaign spentin those states.
  21. Talk about poor planning. Who crashes their car into an Emergency Room & then sets themself on fire at a hospital without a burn unit?
  22. Interesting that you bring up Trump's tweets about Obama doing "nothing" about Russian interference in US affairs/elections because CNN was all over how Obama did a "lot" more than Trump around lunch time today. But nearly every action of the former President they pointed out was from December 2016 (you know, more than a month AFTER the election & as he was heading out the door). And they also pretty much completely ignored Syria entirely. Both pre & post election.
  23. Probably has something to do w/ them claiming to be centrist but in reality going hard w/ D talking points.
