  1. Gee, it's almost as if Davis is looking out for somebody's other than Cohen's best interests. Davis' actions aren't that surprising knowing his background. Still not sure why Cohen keeps heeding his advice.
  2. And he can try to pursue that path. But he doesn't have the same clout 42 had when "it depends on the definition of 'is '." Will be very surprised if, as others have suggested here much more eloquently that he will, he doesn't end up with a lengthier prison term based on this round of testimony.
  3. Except during his testimony he stated that he didn't want a WH job, he had the job he wanted and that was 45's personal lawyer. How much of a pretzel does one have to twist the logic to say that he DID consider that a WH job when he's stated under oath that he DIDN'T consider that a WH job?
  4. Or, perhaps, this declared National Emergency could spur Congress into fixing the NEA which gave 45 (and others before him) the authority to declare such national emergencies. That would be the adult thing for Congress to do. Doubt it happens though.
  5. From his perspective, everybody's high skills.
  6. Jerry Paris did OK.
  7. Well, to be fair, the Chinese Muslims are THE worst of the bunch. ?
  8. That's strictly between her & the guy that turned down the beer in her video. As well it should be.
  9. 1st off, never said she has to answer anything. But she supposedly was seen out in public & in relatively good health (considering her age and having survived cancer surgery 2 months prior) a couple of days prior to the SotU address. For some reason, she didn't seem to find attending that to be worthy of her. Which is all within her perogative but does raise questions. But, when an octogenarian that just had cancer surgery goes completely off the grid (minus apparently a single public appearance of which there has been no corroborating evidence presented), questioning whether her competence might be compromised isn't outlandish nor evil. Was she at the SC last week or today? The court's winter break is now over. If she is back on the job, either at the court or wherever she is recovering, the citizens deserve to know. If she isn't, we deserve to know when she's anticipated to return to duty. And should she appear in public & be ok, questions go away. And it will be a 'good for her' moment. Hopefully she is ok.
  10. It's true. She MIGHT be as mentally acute now as she was prior to her surgery. There's even media reports of her being seen in a very public forum just a few weeks ago. Though there is no video/photographic evidence of it that has been publicly released. IF she really is still competent to be on the Supreme Court, why not just appear in public & dispel the rumors?
  11. But yet, per his recent babbling it wasn't criminal. BUT IT WAS COLLUDING!!!!! And that's bad. At least when orange people do so.
  12. Congress hasn't done its job in at least 12 years. Would agree he'd like them to do it, don't expect them to though.
  13. Would agree with the bolded. And agree that what's going on goes beyond Trump. Hoping that he is playing 4D chess. Just having a hard time reconciling/deciding how much he is & how much of it is hopeful thinking. Especially when, for something like reining in executive emergency powers, to start there needs to be good legislation emanating from a chamber led by a woman that doesn't realize natural gas is a fossil fuel.
  14. It does seem that way as that's the one way that this National Emergency declaration doesn't come across as full out foolish. There already are monies available to tap into (that apparently are already being tapped into) for the wall & this sets a bad precedent for future Presidents to simply ignore Congress. But if this spurs Congress to rewrite some laws to put actual limits on the ability they've given Presidents to declare emergencies it's a step back towards rebalancing the powers of the legislative & executive branches; that would be a very good thing. And an actual win. Still not sold that 45 is THAT good at 4D chess.
  15. 1.4MM people starved to death under Trump!?!?!?! That IS the only way to stop using food stamps, right?
  16. IF she really is in reasonably good health & did go to the concert, why go to that rather than the SotU?
  17. And if she didn't get a tangible advantage for it with her bar registration, she had the intangible advantage of not raising any red flags as to why she'd claimed Native American status on other applications where she did gain advantage.
  18. Um, just guessing here, but that would make her both female AND a minority which would definitely give her an edge when it comes to getting government work & also would be viewed favorably on many RFP's. (Probably even a good thing for a lawyer. Definitely would be beneficial in other areas either as a worker bee or a business owner.). Could see where somebody trying to qualify themselves a a WBE or a MBE would like to have a woman or a minority taking care of the paperwork for them.
  19. Probably not a coincidence that his screen name's initials are the same as BowelMovement's would be.
  20. For that kind of cake, shouldn't they get her spleen & for more than a few minutes?
  21. Absolutely. But not even remotely an optimal area for them. Almost as stupid as the Germans trying to use solar as a major component of their entire power generation.
  22. Really? How do you explain a large solar farm just outside Batavia, NY?.
  23. You think a guy that looks to be 110 could out perform Perot as a 3rd party candidate? If he did run as an Independent, he'd nearly guarantee a Trump 2nd term.
  24. Not really seeing how having 270 miles or so of desert patrolled by dogs, especially dogs not accompanied directly by handlers (which is what your original post implied, if that wasn't your intention, my bad), both keeps a trafficker from completing his objective and remains "cheap."
  25. While patrol dogs could be part of a comprehensive plan, pretty sure that human traffickers get significantly more than 10 years when caught. Also, believe major narcotics trafficking sentences are significantly greater than 10 years. How does the possibility of 10 years added on to a sentence keep the dogs alive past their 1st encounter with a really bad guy?
