As I posted on TSR, I'm even more disgusted with the slug now because it looks like they could have designed really sharp looking unis. No matter how good the rest of the package looks, there's still a giant snot smear going across the front of it.

Regardless of how nice the sweater is (and from the 1 photo that I've seen that doesn't give any indication of piping at the bottom of the sweater or lettering / numbering on the back, it does look pretty good), it still has a giant yellow snot smear on the middle of the chest. That same snot smear is what is going to be shown on every single highlight show giving game scores and "breaking" NHL news. It will also have to stand alone on stat / fantasy league websites and in newspaper articles, etc., etc.. The snot smear will still look pathetic, even more so, when it isn't associated with the rest of the sweater. If the sweater had ANYTHING decent on it, it has potential to not suck. Unfortunately, it has a giant yellow snot smear on it. I notice that they didn't leak the white version of the sweater. Something tells me that you probably cannot make a white sweater look good (or even reasonable) with a giant snot smear across the front of it.

What, no personally autographed picture of Randy Mantooth nor Bob Dylan's new unlisted phone number?

Assuming the rules stay the same in the next CBA, let's say he plays 7 more years (he'll turn 32 before the following season) and then the Isles pull the plug. He'll have made $31.5MM those 7 years and the Isles will be on the hook for an additional $24MM. Gives him an average salary just under $8MM for those 7 years. That's not too shabby. Plus, there is nothing preventing him from playing for another team after they decide that contract is too rich for his production at the time. This kid has just guaranteed himself $45MM. He might have guaranteed himself $67.5MM. He will be just shy of his 40th birthday when this contract runs out. Considering there are elite players that won't ever come close to that kind of scratch due to injuries or what have you, I don't see how he couldn't jump at that.
-
Not according to the TSN article.
-
They're guaranteed, but only in the case of a playing related injury or old veterans are they guaranteed at 100%. For most players in the league, the team is on the hook for 2/3 of the remaining salary. The team has to pay that out over twice the remaining years on the contract. The salary cap hit is essentially the same as the payment schedule. According to TSN, the deal is for $4.5MM/year for each of the 15 years. Also, the current CBA is supposed to expire by 2012, so how the contract gets handled after that remains to be seen.

We lost today....why dont I feel

Well, if the 05 refers to when he was born, then he is a genius and deserves some slack cut. If the 05 refers to when he joined the board or that there was 1 person posting as Matt prior to his joining the board, it's really not too surprising that he types the nonsense that he does.

Why in the world would you go home with that sober, much less get engaged to it?
-
So, Marsha didn't look stupid when she fumbled the ball twice? Nor when she threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown (minus some shady reffing)? Go F' yourself. Losman didn't lose the game. The Bills lost, with a BIG assist from the "impartial" referees.
-
Uh, because the #$!@#!$ Patsies get another #@#$@#%!@#%! reach around from the refs. I honestly expected Buffalo to lose today's game, but had the reffing even been close to even, Buffalo wins today, or at a minimum forces Marsha to engineer another last second win.
-
When the h*ll did they get called for a penalty? Nevermind, I just remembered that they mentioned the Patsies got called for ONE for 12 men in the huddle while CBS had some random graphics on the screen. I am so disgusted by the league right now, it's not funny.

He's still alive but recovering from cancer. (I don't know that I'd put him on that poster just yet.)
-
Sweet. That'd be a pretty cool "family heirloom" to pass down.

The upper deck was definitely shaking that day. After the goalposts came down, people broke them apart at the joints. One section was brought up to the top near our section because people wanted to throw it over the balcony. Security stopped them from doing that (something about not wanting to kill people walking around leaving the stadium), but we did see 1 group of fans running out of the stadium with a chunk of goalpost. I don't know if they managed to get it out of the parking lot, but they at least got it that far. Unfortunately, my dad and uncle wouldn't let my cousin and me go down onto the field after the game, so we just hung out near the top of the stadium and watched the madness. It was pretty cool when the goalpost was brought up to us. That game was the 1st Bills win I was ever at.
-
That explains this site being down for "5 minutes" and TSR not being effected.
-
Yeah, you easily see 20,000 Ontario license plates around the stadium on any given Fall Sunday.

The size of the drop wouldn't have anything to do with the size of the spike up last month when BP shut down the pipeline in Alaska would it? And as GG mentioned, a reduction in the probability of disruptive events might also result in a decrease in the "speculative" premium.

Another thing to look at besides the S-Corp is going LLC. You actually can be either a sole proprietor or a corporation and be an LLC in NYS. You can find information about how the various business entities are treated in NYS by following the links at NY hearts Small Business. (Specifically, click on 'Starting Your Small Business' and then the 'Business Organization', 'Licenses and Regulations', and 'Taxes' links on the left menu.) You'd still be best off talking to a lawyer when you are serious about getting started, but that site links to some real good ones at NY IRS and NY DoS. Good luck with it.

It took a while, but glad you're finally seeing the light. -
I won't give you advice on Bowie as you have received some excellent advice (Heros is incredible as is most of the rest of his stuff that isn't from ~'85). As far as The Smiths go, if you are looking for a "starter" album, the US version would be "Meat is Murder" and the UK version is "Hatful of Hollow". I'd go w/ MIM but both are excellent albums.

TFDHFMHAWSTY - The f'ing Dolfelons hired f'ing Meat Head and will s**k this year. IIRC, there was already a discussion in another thread about If I Recall Correctly.

You've gotta love the last sentence of the article. It won't result in penalties, but it could have. How sad.

Hopefully the revelation that the "outer" wasn't a "neo-Con" will diminish, if not outright halt, the calls for him to go to jail. Considering the "outing" never seemed to meet the criteria for outing that the 1982 Intelligence Identities Protection Act contained (that according to authors of the Act), it would be good to see that call for action dropped. Of course, it would be interesting/entertaining to hear Pasta Joe call for Armitage's jail sentence.
