  1. Holy CRAP. I cannot believe he said that. I've never heard of anything like that.
  2. A guy that is used to having a winning record most seasons probably does not actually enjoy what he is going through with the Bills right now. He has, however, stated multiple times that Buffalo (I'm assuming the area in general) has been great to him. He gets along with his teammates and probably has made quite a few friends here. Additionally, he has brought his annual charity endeavors here as well. He has proven, especially with his statement about Philly vs. Buffalo fans, that he really does speak the truth. He's not gonna go out of his way to gush about his time playing for the Bills when he's having his worst statistical season, with no quality QB, uncertainties with the head coach, and dealing with having a new offensive coordinator before the season opener. That all being said - I hope he gives us another shot and one more year.
  3. Exactly, this isn't buffalobills.com message boards.
  4. Simmons only started on the first Steelers SB team. He was injured the second go around. But I am a big fan. Sign him.
  5. I read about three responses on this page and just got a HUGE headache. You guys need to give it a rest, it's getting (been) really silly.
  6. I'm at the very least intrigued in seeing this Ramsay kid. Four year starter at Ball State, the team UB demolished in the MAC Championship. I'd rather get a good 4-game look at a young guy with upside than bringing in a journeyman to fill Bell's void.
  7. I like Grimm a lot. Personally I think the money that would be spent on a "big name" coach should instead go into getting a top GM/personnel evaluator and a bigger and better scouting department.
  8. If the Colts drafted had drafted Moulds instead of Harrison in 1996, I think Moulds would be in the same conversation as Moss and Owens as far as accomplishments in the past 10-12 years. Look at the numbers he put up with a rag-tag group of QBs with absolutely no consistency. His best QB was noodle-arm Flutie. Imagine if he had Manning as his QB for 10 years? I bet it's crossed his mind plenty times.
  9. That about sums it up right there. Don't listen to a word anyone says from someone who is has a big hand in his team's draft next spring. A famous, and fast-becoming nauseating, story down here in South Florida is how in 1983 Don Shula kept talking about how Dan Marino was the worst QB prospect to anyone who would listen, in order for Marino to fall to the Dolphins at #27. Sure enough.... I'm not opposed to Tebow at all, unless he is chosen over Jake Locker.
  10. I'd still be on board with taking Tebow, provided it's a 2nd or 3rd round pick, and Jake Locker was no longer available. In the first round, and maybe second, we desperately need to draft an LT and/or a big behemoth NT. I really feel like we have good pieces for a 3-4, minus the all-important NT.
  11. Pretty interesting take. Thanks for the info.
  12. Agreed. Getting an o-line in place is more important than a QB, from the perspective of a newly minted QB is meaningless without protection. It's smarter to get all of the other pieces in place first, then add a touted QB and give an actual chance to succeed.
  13. I really could not agree any more. It's atrocious watching these games. And the fact that they give Toronto a division game is just incomprehensible. I suppose it would make the most sense to make it an NFC game, but it's nice when they visit the Ralph because it's so rare to see those teams in WNY.
  14. Wow I was at that game too, as a little kid. We were down 17-0 early, but came back and won. I don't remember the final score tho. That was my 2nd Bills game. First game I went to was in 1989 vs. the Jets, we won 34-3. I think it was the "much-anticipated" return of Chris Burkett to Rich Stadium after defecting to the Jets. I was 8 years old, good times.
  15. I can state that it's a fact to me. I don't expect random people to believe it. But, this is a thread that somebody else started and others have responsed to about what happened with Thurman. So I added to it. For anyone who wants answers and is willing to accept answers from a message board thread, you have your answers. For anyone who will only be satisfied with an account from Thurman himself, unfortunately he doesn't post at TBD, so go check his twitter. Otherwise, enjoy the speculation.
  16. Not sure if that's sarcasm or not, but one of the players was, in fact, Lynch. Whether or not you believe me, or the other person who said it was Lynch (as fact), is up to you. But there it is for you - one of the players was Lynch.
  17. I thought he did really nice on running plays. Pass protection was spotty for the whole line, hard to pinpoint that on any one lineman.
  18. That 'celeb ass kisser' is a complete tool. He is tweeting T.O. every couple of minutes. Here's some gems: @terrellowens not trying to get a tryout. Not obvious things I look up to you on the feild, I can probably look up to in myself, if I played @terrellowens carry the ball like its two 7 gallon water jugs...mess people right up...just dont fumble or drop it...hard to tackle @terrellowens I don't have a 6 pack...still im overall a strong body type I trained with you...I bets im a tough wideout. Break Tackles. @terrellowens no other position for my body in football, i refused to play defense in middleschool and at the highschool dorsey Levens went @terrellowens i measured on the highschool feild. Hit the 40 from the goal line everytime...thats it..guess im a wide out or i dont play @terrellowens I can only throw 40 yards though. As long as you didnt go past 40 yards...i can get u or lee it anywhere. f ck edwards @terrellowens feels like i dreamed writing you back, from u saying oh well...and u didnt respond. Still throwing you bombs is a dream...
  19. The deciding factor of a bet on Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys comes down to what a random person says on Buffalo Bills message board? Okay, the jerseys are stitched.
  20. No players to the Pro Bowl until they're locked up with a long term deal PLZ.
