  1. See, I hate this - he's "running his mouth". It's not like he called a press conference and said "listen to me talk for a minute, I need the ball more." He was asked a question, and he gave an HONEST RESPONSE. People complain about athletes that give out worthless quotes and cliches. Roscoe was honest and said how he felt. He also made a point to say he wasn't looking for a trade and accepted his role. Sheesh.
  2. Uhhh it does?? I find Florio to be more reliable than the ESPN rumors...
  3. Pretty sure we exhausted (and hopefully retired) the erectile jokes sometime during draft weekend.
  4. Wow, it's hard to look more foolish than that. Thank God it's on the Internet!
  5. It's been a long time since he was really bad, and the last incident was a pot possession thing like four years ago. He is highly praised by all of his coaches, and has had zero strikes in the NFL, because he hasn't been there yet. We have a hole at LB, I don't see the problem in giving him a shot. If he screws up, cut him and move on. There's nothing to lose.
  6. From Green Bay Press Gazette: Contrary to a published report and a statement from his school, Union College (Ky.) linebacker Willie Williams has not signed with the Packers, nor is it believed the team will sign him. http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/articl...1/90427203/1058 I think he's worth a shot. One incident in the past five years, and that was 4 years ago.
  7. Could someone (INTELLIGENTLY) explain the need for a 40 time for a defensive lineman? I understand quickness is important - but top speed is less so. I'm genuinely curious - so if you actually know, help? Thanks
  8. I want him to go somewhere that he can start in a couple years. Since I am hoping that Edwards is finally our solution at QB, I hope the Bills don't take Willy. I'm a UB alum as well. PS - What's up with Suzy Kolber's hair today?!? She looks like she just jumped out of of an 80s film.
  9. I was following on the ESPN ticker and it said the guy then his positions as "LS"...first thing that came to mind was "Long Shot", but finally figured it out a couple minutes later. Patriots love those 2nd round picks...loaded up this year, got some more for next year. I really wish teams would stop trading with them.
  10. Browns are just looking for a trade partner.
  11. I really don't see the Bills using their top picks on the O-Line; maybe #42 on Wood/Mack/Unger. They believe they might have struck gold again, this time with Bell, and they really like Kirk Chambers. I hope we use #11 on a pass rusher, and #28 on a linebacker - if Laurinaitis is available then they'd hop all over it.
  12. Reed is one of the best blocking WRs in the NFL. And while Roscoe is one of the top punt returners in the NFL, we have a capable replacement in McKelvin. That being said - I'd love to see Roscoe stay, one of my favorite Bills (and Canes).
  13. I do like this scenario - and I am also high on Mack - but this might be a safer route: Take Johnson at #28, and use #42 to take Eric Wood, C/G out of Louisville. I think the dropoff from Johnson to the next pass rusher is greater than the dropoff from Mack to Wood. Plus pass rush is a bigger need, IMO. But if your scenario actually did work out, that'd be better.
  14. I hope we take him. Immediate upgrade over Ellison if he's put on the outside, and a possible upgrade at middle if he goes in for Poz (who then goes outside). I don't care about his "issues" several years ago. Word has it he might have a high motor enjoys lunch pails.
  15. Good for you, and to the many others, who thought Peters would be traded. Everyone loves a good "I told you so!".
  16. I did see that - but it should say "no center was taken in the last five years of the study." Mangold has since made a Pro Bowl as well, so outside of this study, it seems first-round centers of late have been decent. I hope the Bills take Alex Mack at #28 (regardless of this study).
  17. It says no Center has been drafted in the first round in the past five years....isn't the Jets center, Mangold, a first round pick from 2006?
  18. If Pettigrew is going to only be as good as Shockey, I don't want him at 11, 28, or 42.
  19. The lone "fact" on there is wrong. At the beginning of last year he had three years remaining on his contract. Now he has (had) two. That being said, I'm glad Mr. Turnstile is gone.
  20. Huh?? In 2007 it was definitely pass block. Running to the left side of our line has ALWAYS been a chore for any of our RBs. He was average at best at run blocking.
  21. I hope we add a couple more pieces (namely Alex Mack), but I'm glad you put Bell into the equation. From everything we've read, the FO is really high on Bell and believe he has a similar skill set to Peters in terms of raw physical ability. He's only been a football player for a couple years though, so he's really unpolished. They should get McNally out of retirement and try to work Bell into what he did for Peters. And just to throw it out there, Peters always was average at best at run blocking. We got a good deal.
  22. If the reports are true, then yes. I admit to not speaking with him personally.
  23. Peppers wants to play LB in a 3-4. We play a 4-3 and wouldn't pony up the money anyways. Next.
  24. That draft chart is worthless nowadays. No one wants top 5 picks anymore - there's a reason teams can't trade out of those spots. It's just amazing to me that an organization like the NFL has such a huge fundamental flaw in the most important aspect of funneling talent into their league. It's almost beyond comprehension.
