  1. All that I know is that his style and swagger reminded me of a more mobile Jim Kelly ... That said, I don't think they draft a QB. If they do, round 4-7.
  2. Read title ... Said to myself, "post can't possibly be that stupid." I WAS WRONG.
  3. People need to relax. What exactly has been learned so far? 1) CJ looks ready for a HUGE year 2) Goodwin has speed to burn and is DANGEROUS 3) Kiko Alonso looks SPECIAL 4) Ron Brooks and the DB's playing to opposite Gilmore scare the **** out of me 5) Left-side of OL looks suspect 6) Hopkins has a heck of a leg, but consistency could cause him to get cut 7) EJ looks like I suspected. Mix of solid plays and rookie mistakes. It'll be an up and down year as expected.
  4. Listened for awhile the week ... Much better show and easier to listen to. Addition by subtraction. Schopp is a condescending little prick and I would LOVE to see him off the air.
  5. Good post. Obviously, they weren't keeping two vets on this roster, but I think the Teul observation is a good one. Two young QBs come in together, form a relationship and grow together, and maybe Teul becomes the back up in a season or two. Reestablishing a Kelly/Reich type relationship for a few years could be a good thing.
  6. Having a son that has autism I can understand the impact it has had on his attitude and approach. Believe me, this is a guy that sounds like when the going gets tough on the field, he'll dig in a little deeper knowing he and his family have faced much greater hardships off the gridiron. Thanks for posting!
  7. Jerry's ego has singlehandedly turned Dallas into an also-ran. Not worried
  8. Joe -the-6-pack ... You use Ditka as an expert? Isn't this the same man that traded his entire draft for Ricky "up in smoke" Williams? Solid talent evaluator
  9. When I was nine, I saw The Chuckster in "A Force of One" and thought he was cool. That's because I was nine. Since that time, I've thought his movies, TV show and feeble attempts in the political arena were pathetic. Chuck, please fade away with a shred of dignity left or you'll wind up on a stage talking to an empty chair. IMO, he and Tebow are cut from same cloth > they are both tools.
  10. The tight end with the Jets from the early 80s? Damn, we need a TE BAD, but I guy in his 60s?
  11. If it means anything, I had a detailed dream last night in which the Bills selected Barkley. I don't remember thinking much about it before bed and in some ways, I prefer Nassib. Maybe a premonition???
  12. 1984-1985 ... Kay Stephenson/Hank Bullough coaches ... Bruce Mathison as QB ... Been worse
  13. The best by-product of "resting" the starters is increasing chances for a loss and a higher pick. The players know by now that Fitzy, while being an inspiring story and solid teammate, limits their chance for success. Everyone in that locker room knows a QB that can make the throws is needed, especially the offensive talent, and I fully expect them to figure out a way to lose this one. Resting the starters would only help to ensure that, though Chan may still believe he has a job he can save, so who knows. It'll be a challenge as McElroy seems really limited as a QB, but let's hope we can ante up and get that loss.
  14. Same reason as Mouse Davis never did ... Too gimmicky to win consistently against the better teams. It would be fun to watch, but ultimately get you nowhere.
  15. So sorry about your father ... What a gifted artist. Those covers are such a treasure. I wish they would have brought back that character and those covers as part of the nostalgia wave of the past few years. Your father will be missed, but his contributions are surely appreciated.
  16. Rob and Rex can barely stand up straight without falling over ... let alone have any swagger. Did I miss something? Have either of these jokers won anything yet? Did Buddy win as a HC? Nah > pass! quote name='Hsp08' timestamp='1324579025' post='2343000'] I am with you too. This team needs some swagger like they use to in the 90's.
  17. In a word ... NO! This isn't NYC and what plays there, doesn't here. We are better than that and surely, better than Buddy Jr. and Buddy Lite. Watch Big D and the "JETS" fall apart down the stretch. No ... we don't need to sell our souls for the Ryan twins.
  18. One, twitter sucks so who gives a rat's ass ... two, stevie is the first receiver to get the better of Revis twice (especially yesterday). Yes, I want to see better concentration and critical catches, but I think with maturity they will come. You have cap room, so why create another hole to fill in the draft by letting him walk. So the Patriots can come a calling ... don't be stupid.
  19. Where to begin? While I appreciate the optimism, even if the blind squirrel finds the nut today it wont be by 20 points ... More like 3 point. Secondly, this team had little margin for error when winning and now with injuries I think we should be watching for the young players tht can help going forward, not how we can control our own playoff destiny.
  20. I agree ... but I would feel a lot better with Chan's equal calling defensive sets, rather than edwards. IMO, edwards should be LB coach with wannstadt as D coordinator
  21. Hate NYC and despise the jets ... I can deal with belicheck and Brady, but Rex Ryan and those J-E-T-S fans make me want to puke in my suit.
  22. Sorry guys, couldn't agree less ... This is about building something and while a playoff appearance would be nice, I wouldn't sacrifice youth and playing time to secure a first-round exit. This team needs to experience and grow together.
  23. Wow, Jimmy Spags you are really insightful ... some things are just really freaky (with it being near Halloween and all) ... like Maybin's emerging talent ... hmmm, next thing you'll tell me is that a respected NFL Head Coach has a wierd fetish ... like he is REALLY INTO FEET. Maybe, he dresses up in a leather boy scout uniform and paints women's toenails different colors or gets off sucking on his wife's toes. Maybe he even videotapes feet so when it is late and night and he is on the road, he can rub one out. Oh, wait ... where did I hear that before? PS. JETS ... SUCK, SUCK, SUCK!
  24. My son needs a new jersey ... I just figured out who to buy.
