  1. Miller would've been lit up yesterday too. Both goalies put in a weak performance, but they were also hung out to dry by the team. Ottawa might not have put up 10 goals if Miller played, but they still would've scored at least 6.
  2. For the first time this season, the young lawyer (or as I like to call him Allan Shore Jr.) wasn't annoying. They need to stop trying to turn him into a young version of Shore.
  3. Actually, I had a lot of Pats fans tell me that espn was out of control last night.
  4. Have you read half the crap on this board? I'd hate to break it to you, but we've got a lot of bad fans too.
  5. The problem is that the White Sox won the year after Boston did. The "long time losers finally winning one" story is old at this point.
  6. Their future is in very good hands with Ovechkin though. At least they've got one thing going for them.
  7. Wait, he already passed Jake Arians? Seriously though, what kind of name is Mike-Mayer?
  8. I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not. I was talking about that assclown Simmons.
  9. He's out in LA now.
  10. Bill Simmons is a hack. Why does his opinion matter?
  11. Does the drunk guy who threatened to take me out the the nonexistant parking lot at last night's Sabres game count as proof?
  12. The first one that comes to mind is the episode where Timmy and Jimmy joined the crips. The big 4 only showed up a couple times to say that they weren't touching this one with a 40 ft pole.
  13. Just like the Bills, New England can't stop the run. I don't see why Willis can't do the same thing there that he did this past week.
  14. It was more of a general statement about all young QB's, not just JP. Because of the Pittsburgh situation, all rookies are going to get ripped apart if they don't win immediately. Replace the word "rookie" with "young" and my point still stands. As for your Favre comparison, did he miss a lot of reps due to a broken leg? Just because one player who became a star after sitting out his first season and then put up decent numbers in his second season doesn't mean that the same applies to every single QB out there. There are different factors in play from team to team, player to player.
  15. I'd like to see a good old fashioned ass kicking at some point so he could at least get some mop up duty. Yeah, I know we're not likely to be on the good side of that kind of result with our offense, but it's still possible.
  16. Don't you people understand? All rookies are supposed to have seasons like Roethlesberger (still have no clue how to spell that) immediately.
  17. Next step: ban this crap worldwide. I can dream, can't I?
  18. I bought season 6 yesterday as a warmup for tonight's season debut. Can't wait!
  19. Which one was the top Cartman episode? My money was on Scott Tenorman Must Die.
  20. Was he visiting his former teammates last week?
  21. You're not going to see a wave of numbers retired. This is a publicity move to get some fans back. After Hasek (maybe in the next 10 years), you won't see another one for a while, unless we develop a superstar. edit: As for Horton, talk to guys like Mike Robitaille and you'll understand why he's up there.
  22. Griffith worked out with for the Pats last week and they passed on him.
  23. We also got part of Gilmour's salary in that deal. Chicago also got a draft pick, but I have no clue who that turned out to be.
  24. An analyst making a positive comment about the market that he's speaking to? How dare he!
  25. I knew he was gone, but I was having trouble finding where he went. Thank god for tsn. As for Kasper's comments about Connolly, he has looked pretty good so far. He's playing well but hasn't scored (last time I checked, Vanek hasn't either). You can fault him for the powerplay all you want, but he's not the only point man who won't shoot the puck. It's been an ongoing trend for years with this team now. They are always trying to setup that back door pass, but aren't able to improvise when it's not there. I also noticed that Connolly was on the ice for one of the penalty kills last night (2nd period, if I remember correctly). I think that says it all about what Ruff thinks of him.
