  1. I've never actually paid too much attention to that, but I would've thought it was the other way around. Graphite has more flex (so if you have a fast swing speed, that's not so good for irons), so I would've assumed that the torsion would be the same.
  2. STAY AWAY FROM BLADES! With the scoring range he mentioned, blades would probably be a terrible option. The only people who should be using blades are pros, and a lot of them won't go near them. They're very effective clubs IF you have the great swing to go along with them. If you're really serious, the best option would be to try out a lot of clubs as others have suggested. When you make up your mind, get them fitted. A lot of places will do this for free if you're buying the clubs from them.
  3. You mean the 10 dunks that all look the same?
  4. I read an article on cnn.com the other day that said they actually shot a short scene about that for this season. It may not air though.
  5. Ottawa has shown that they can't play without Spezza and Alfredsson. First place is not out of question if their injuries continue to linger.
  6. It's even worse when you're watching a team with a terrible powerplay. I'm a Boston University season ticket holder and our power play never shoots. Even worse, they just stand still while passing back and forth. The building only seats about 6k, but the screaming is probably louder than any other building I've ever been in.
  7. Five years? That commercial's been around as long as I can remember.
  8. The top announce team in baseball is Joe Buck and Tim McCarver, so that point is debatable.
  9. It's hard to imagine that any sport could be worse on tv than baseball.
  10. I'll ignore the obvious typo there and ask: why would Pittsburgh trade for a goalie?
  11. It's only one game, but it's definitely encouraging.
  12. I like the deal too, but I'd love it if we still had Ballard. He should be mentioned when talking about that trade. Calgary wanted Reinprecht badly, and the only way to get him from Colorado was by sending them Ballard.
  13. You missed one important detail of that trade. The Sabres also moved Keith Ballard. Ballard has all the makings of a stud defenseman and it would be nice to have him on the blue line right now. I'd probably rather have Drury at this point, but I do wish they could've thrown in a different prospect instead.
  14. If Marty fell back completely into the net, would you still waive off the goal? The ruling on the goal was very simple. The puck was inside his glove which was completely inside the net.
  15. Every single reviewed goal in the NHL is done in Toronto. They want things to be called the same way in every game. Just don't ask what happens if two goals have to be reviewed at the same time.
  16. Yeah, they had won 3 consecutive World Series and then he started singing at their games. They haven't won since.
  17. I watched the TSN feed, so I can't speak for what was shown on MSG. The NHL had an overhead view that TSN didn't have at first. I'm assuming you're thinking of the shot from the corner that TSN showed a couple times. That one was inconclusive, but the overhead was clear as day.
  18. Complain all you want, it was a goal. Marty's entire glove (except for maybe the padding over his wrist) was over the line. If they didn't have that overhead view, it wouldn't have counted, but oh well. By the way, all replayed goals league-wide are reviewed in the NHL headquarters in Toronto. That has a lot to do with why the review took so long.
  19. It's not even his opinion. He uses some mathematical formula for the rankings. Even simple math hates Buffalo.
  20. Take out Biron's stats against Ottawa and those number should look a lot better. I'm too lazy to do it myself right now.
  21. Briere was never placed on IR. Also, the Sabres are currently carrying 22 players (including Briere). When Miller is activated, no one has to be sent down. As for Dumont, that's so far off in the future, if he comes back at all this year. That is not a concern right now.
  22. Call me crazy, but the Pyatt injury is actually worth mentioning. The Mair-Gaustad-Pyatt combo was the best line the team had going during the 3 or 4 games before he got hurt.
  23. I never even noticed that they were Nike jerseys. Anyway, that's the general idea, tighter fitting jerseys.
