  1. My go to is Buffalo Trace. I currently have a bottle of Tin Cup 10 year and its great. I'm also a fan of the Larceny Rye when the mood strikes.
  2. I'm going with "Other" on this. Nobody is talking about the Pats***** and BB's genius. Seems far fetched but it also seems like it will happen so the nightmare of that organization can continue.
  3. This one might actually be on me. I was notified on Thursday that my Uncle had passed away. He was from Mass living in NY and a huge fan of the Boston sports teams. Calling hours were on Saturday with "private services at the families convenience" Well the wife and I went to the calling hours to find out services were to be Sunday at noon. Of course we went (he was a great man and a great uncle) about a half hour into the trip my wife looks at me and says "I can't believe we're going to miss the game" and I say really? that's what you're thinking about right now? I had a plan though.. My Aunt lives 5 minutes from the church and lunch was at her house after services. My cousins, one of my other uncles and I had a Genny Cream in the parking lot of the church in honor of my uncle then off we went to my aunts house for gathering and lunch. On goes the T.V. and the game is on. We were only loosely paying attention as we shared funny stories and I was mingling with my cousins childhood friends and the rest of my family. Boom Bills up 7 zip. I continued to visit thinking "that was quick, we have a chance" After a while my 92 year old grandpa called me into the living room and he says your "Billy's" are in trouble. Things were winding down at that point and we were hitting the road as the Bills were trying to mount the comeback. I had the game on the radio in the car. Got about 10 minutes from home and stopped at the store for beverages and dinner stuff's. Came back to the car and it was over. I felt terrible because I wasn't able to be there for my Bills family but I needed to be there for my family. So in a nutshell it was my fault and I hope you forgive me. RIP Uncle Al. You got me! Prayers Up. GO BILLS!
  4. Brady retires from football with an undisclosed lower body "injury"
  5. John Riggins Aaron Rodgers Joe Montana Jerry Rice Reggie White Too many great players to list.
  6. My wife and I were at a game several years ago and we saw Mr. Wilson riding through the concourse on a golf cart. He was smiling and appeared to be happy to be there and no where else. When he passed we said hi Mr. Wilson and got a bit of a smirk and a nod. My wife and I have been Bills fans for our entire lives and that was one of our fondest memories of going to a game together. We too have felt the loss and are mourning for a man we never really met but had an interaction with. It's a sad time for the Wilson family, Western New York and Bills fans everywhere. Some will say we lined Mr. Wilson's pockets and the organization should thank us. This may be true to a certain extent but I think we can all agree that Mr. Wilson keeping OUR Bills in Buffalo and accessible to all of the hard working, blue collar and white collar folks that love, sometimes hate and commiserate with them is nothing short of a great gift from a man that loved, respected and only wanted the best for the game, the region and the fans. There's a reason we're all fans of this team. Some born into it, some grabbed on during the good times and many who have seen it through the bad. Of all the Bills fans I've had the pleasure to meet it would seem we all love our Bills, we all have a great deal of pride in our team and will defend them right or wrong, good, bad or indifferent they are our team and we have Mr. Wilson to thank for that. RIP Mr. Wilson Prayers for Jim Kelly GO BILLS!
  7. Horsepower is the speed or rate at which work is done. Feel better now?
  8. Thats roughly 8000lbs pulling a 40,000lb (empty) or 80,000lb+ (loaded) semi out of a ditch. Traction, torque and center of gravity at work there. I would take the 4 horses over a 400hp truck in that situation. They can use the torque they produce much more efficiently and put said torque to the ground through traction by shifting body weight. A 400hp 4x4 truck in that situation would end up just spinning its wheels until it was able to get traction. By then the horses have won. Horsepower is the speed at which torque is applied. Great for drag racing but in real world applications its the torque that does the work. .
  9. I totally agree with this. I live about 4 hrs from Buffalo but because I'm in the Syracuse market the game is blacked out due to some half mile sliver that reaches into the radius of the blackout and I don't get the Binghamton or Elmira feeds anymore on Time Warner. As a treat we try to go to a couple games per season. We usually have to take the next day off as by the time we get out of the lots, have dinner and get on the road it might be midnight or later before we get home weather dependent. If I lived an hour or two from the stadium I would be a season ticket holder and I would go to every game.
  10. After reading that 2 things... I'm sorry and it just makes me appreciate my job a whole lot more. That guy is a grade A @sshat.
  11. I get a great afternoon with my co-workers eating good food and having a few drinks and a ton of laughs. The 7 of us including my director and manager are a pretty tight knit group and we enjoy our time together outside of the office. We also get to come to work everyday and are respected and thanked for our contributions and skills. That goes a long way with me anyway.
