  1. Lydia Purple - The Collectors I have only met one person named Lydia. Oddly enough from Buffalo. Also, if you know this tune, you must have listened to a lot of radio in the late 60's. Most of the band went on to become Chilliwack.
  2. Can one of you, who happens to be a skier, explain what happened? I understand they call this a spruce trap. I expected that to be an empty spot by the tree, where if you fell in and your skis were up, you got suspended and couldn't invert yourself. I did not expect to see someone buried like that. Yes, it is.
  3. For the past 5 or 6 years, I have had MLB. If you are not in a zone that gets blacked out for broadcast, I think it is a good deal. However, I sign up around Father's day. Usually, they have roughly a 50% off deal then. Sometimes they have a deal at Mother's day, at a little bit more than 50%. Keep visiting the MLB site for deals. I used to post when the deal was active, but I wouldn't count on me. This is the first year I am paying full price. Not because I want to but I forgot to cancel it after last year. I'm a Dodger fan, so this is a good way to follow them. It is a bit brutal on sleep though. The service has changed over the years. They have a lot more content now, like interviews and highlights. You can also watch a full or condensed game later.
  4. Larry Bird, one of the greatest basketball players of all time, had a lifetime 3-point shooting percentage of 37.6% during his career in the NBA. He played for the Boston Celtics from 1979 to 1992, and during that time, he made 649 out of 1727 attempts from beyond the arc. It's important to note that the NBA introduced the three-point line in the 1979-80 season, which was Bird's rookie year. So, his career 3-point percentage is based on his performance over the course of 13 seasons. As of my knowledge cutoff in 2021, the three players with the highest lifetime 3-point shooting percentage in NBA history (minimum 250 attempts) are: Steve Kerr - 45.4% Hubert Davis - 44.1% Stephen Curry - 43.5% It's worth noting that this list may have changed since my knowledge cutoff, as players' statistics can change over time.
  5. Watershed maps of the US. https://5thworldadventures.blogspot.com/2018/07/watershed-map-of-us.html
  6. Reid is the reason Mahomes is MVP. Not saying he isn't great but in the conference game, a back-up QB marched the KC down the field for their longest drive of the year. To me, that shows what a great system they have in place.
  7. I have wondered this for at least 20 years. I think the results would be better if you get a head coach that is a good organizer, maybe on the cheap, and then hire, overpay, the best OC and DC your can get. I would think the OC and DC are more important to your game than the head coach.
  8. I am not sure it would be archived here, but I have found good articles I was looking for. Give it a try, it takes a little bit of work. https://archive.org/web/
  9. I have a problem keeping track of time. Is it April 1st already?
  10. It does not look like it bounces off Beasley's chest. It looks like it bounces off Holland's arm. You have to see the view from the front. https://www.miamidolphins.com/video/jevon-holland-gets-an-interception
  11. I was unaware of the Ponzi scheme connection to stamps. The link that Jauronimo posted is a good read. The one thing Crypto shares with Ponzi, those that got in early mostly made out ok. Those that got in at or after the peak, not so much. In the end the value of anything is what you can get for it. That applies to Crypto, stocks, housing, classic cars, beany babies, baseball cards, etc. I forgot, the Greenback.
  12. The state of news reporting these days. They showed the same picture last winter.
  13. I went to the post office today, and there was a Bitcoin machine next to the stamp machine. After some thought, I bought $500 in Forever Stamps. In the end, I think that will be a far better investment.
  14. I liked all of the Riddick movies.
  15. There is already a winner. The last person eliminated was during week 5. The winner was someone named Buffalo is Delicious.
  16. They brought Hackett in because it is a clever way to tank. You don't have to get rid of the talent on the roster, just let Hackett do his thing.
  17. After seeing your post, I asked myself why I have never tried to go to a Renaissance concert, so I went to look to see if they might be touring. Shockingly, they are in Homer,NY tomorrow. I'm one hour away. It's a great place to see a concert, as it is an old church. I saw the Strawbs there and the sound was excellent. Bad news, my car is being repaired. For those out Albany way, they will be in Troy Thursday night.
  18. Thanks for the great link. It was mini-Beatles concert. Just yesterday I was wondering through Youtube when I watched a video where the presenter was stating how under-rated Ringo was as a drummer. In his past, a guy audtioning for a drummer in a band stated Ringo sucked. So the autioner challenged him to play the drums for "Act Naturally." He couldn't really do it for more than 30 seconds. The presenter then pointed out if you watch Ringo, he does it effortlessly and sings at the same time. In the comments under the video, several posters said Ringo was a human metronome. Here is the link, if you are interested.
  19. LOL. I had to google that also. I had a "d" in there. I hate to mispell for some reason, so when you see me post with a mispelled word, it is a typing error.🙄
  20. If they ever remake Papillon, there is a part waiting for him. I had to do a search to make sure I spelled Papillon correctly, and what do you know, they already remade Papillon in 2017. Sacrilege!!
  21. To be fair to Shakir, the Bills actually have to be in a Championship game before you can make that comparison.
