  1. His prediction on espn.com has since changed. I don't know why that guy hates us so much. A couple seasons ago I took notice of the fact that he never seemed to pick the bills to win, and I checked the entire season. He didn't pick the bills to win once. I realize that picking against the bills has been a pretty safe bet the last few years, but this was one of the years when we were 7-9, so we were at least somewhat competitive, and he would have picked the bills to lose a game they were favored in several times. Why does that joker have it out for the bills so bad??
  2. I don't really care for the captains in the NFL thing. They serve no purpose in the actual game, there are 6 captains!, not one. Just seems kind of pointless to me.
  3. Ever read a thread that seemed relatively productive at first, and then you read down through the rest of the replies without really thinking about them too much, and then you get to the end and you're like... wait a minute, what the hell happened here?
  4. I read about that promotion on nfl.com (I think, it could have been something else). Every team is doing the same thing. I was wondering how they were going to pick the 80 people from each franchise. Are you a long time season ticket holder?
  5. Step back from the ledge chief. Let's just hope the offense can build on the successes they had this year while we focus more on this team's real issue, the horrendous defense. I sincerely hope that we focus on the D line and the linebackers early in the draft and free agency. Then if Fitz proves he's really not good enough to take the team to the next level we can get a new QB in a year or two. If Luck proves to be an All Pro in 5 years then we can regret it then, but I think focusing on the defense is what we need to do right now.
  6. Doesn't matter. He'll be hurt within 2 weeks anyway and then we'll see one of the other guys. You saw him yesterday. Dude could barely get up from a routine hit. I'm not saying I want to stand in there and take those hits, but I'm not getting millions of dollars either.
  7. Dear Trent Edwards, I agree with the original poster. I have faith in your abilities. Just play the entire game like you did on the touchdown drive last week and we'll win. It's that simple. You did it on one drive, now just do it on all the other ones too. I would really appreciate it. Thanks, clownments22
  8. I would be the first in line to thank Aaron Schobel and congratulate him on a great career. Was he always a game changer? No. Was he ever the best DE in the league? No. All the guy ever did, was show up, do his job and keep his mouth shut on one of the worst franchises in the league for a whole decade! The only time he ever spoke up was questioning the leadership on the team at the beginning of last season, which obviously needed to be said and no one questioned him for it. When he needed to improve in the run game, he did it. He was one of the few bright spots on otherwise terrible teams and he did it all without dancing around like a moron and begging for attention after routine plays like the rest of the league so they can make it on the sports center highlight reels. Each year he made it into the Pro Bowl, he didn't make it in because of fan voting because he wasn't one of the more popular players in the league as a result of his low key nature. He made it in because the players and coaches voted him in. Who else would know which players are more deserving? He wasn't the most gifted athlete in the world. He had good speed and a good first step. He wasn't the biggest or the strongest guy, but he went out every game and every play and played the position to the absolute best of his ability, which is all you can ask the guy to do, and it was still good enough to be one of the best in the league. I have tremendous respect for the way he played the game and the way he handled playing for a terrible franchise.
  9. This cut doesn't surprise me, only because of his age. He's not worth it to keep around anymore because teams want to develop their young players. Reed isn't talented enough to be a game changer, and he's not a prospect. He had a better than average career in the NFL but I'm not surprised that he's done.
  10. I was at the Binghamton Senators/Norfolk Admirals game tonight in Binghamton and I couldn't help but notice that the Admirals had a "Parrish" who wore #11, a "Jackson" who wore #22 and an "Ashton" who wore #26. Those guys have got to be Bills fans!
  11. A while back, I read on TSW that Thurman stated on a radio interview that we could expect big news on January 15th... was this just a rumor, or are we actually waiting for some big news today? I for one was really hoping for something regarding the teams long term viability today.
  12. This might be the worst thread ever.
  13. That's about the only thing we could hope for at this point in time. I completely understand the sentiment of wanting to do something as a fan base to make our voices heard about what we want, but I feel like the people that organized this saw how it worked and/or coincided with Jauron's firing and now they think "All we have to do is buy a billboard and say what we want and it will work everytime!" Unfortunately though it seems as if Cowher coming to our beloved bills is completely up to Cowher.
  14. I'd say pick any pre season/training camp press conference. I don't think he had said it very often during the season, but more like when talking about whatever changes he was trying to make to the team, he would just throw it out there.
  15. I honestly thought that TO was upest because of the play call then. That was probably a product of me hoping TO was feeling the same way as I was at that point. It was 3rd and 20(+/-) and they call a screen pass to a tight end? Another example of the coaching staff not putting our team in a position to succeed.
  16. Who cares. It is what it is. The loudest screamer in the NFL isn't the best coach in the NFL. What matters is wins. The Bills don't lose because Jauron doesn't scream on the sidelines. They lose because he's not a good head coach. He doesn't game plan well, he doesn't make adjustments well, and he coaches to stay in the game, not to crush the other team. Period. Whether or not he yells on the sidelines makes no difference in a win and a loss. If he was a winning head coach, he'd be "the coolest headed coach in the league", but he's not, so instead of looking composed on the sidelines, he looks like he's not involved or whatever.
  17. not a big better myself... is the 36.5 over/under the total points that both teams will score combined?
  18. Agreed. I didn't think it was a dirty hit or a hit intended to injure, just part of the game. Some of these roughing the passer penalties are completely asinine though when they barely touch the quarterback, yet on a play where the quarterback gets absolutely clobbered we get nothing. It's backwards. I don't think Pace will or should get fined, all I wanted was the roughing the passer call. It quite literally added insult to injury.
  19. You know what I love: with all these rules the NFL has made to protect the quarterback, and all the roughing the passer penalties we have had called on opposing defenses this year, the refs don't throw the flag on this play, when they actually roughed the passer!
  20. The only difference is that if he did that this year, no one would blame him. He's dropped some balls this year, but he's also created some opportunities and TE has not made good throws. Last weekend in the third quarter I believe, TE was scrambling and TO improvised a route, got behind the corner and if Trent put the throw on line it would have been a touchdown, but he over threw him. He's been thrown to as many times in five games this season as he had been thrown to in one game probably a dozen times with his previous teams. It's a joke. If the media was all over him for speaking out, I don't think any NFL FO's would pay any attention because they all realize he's justified because our offense is a complete joke. An embarrassment. A disgrace. I can't believe how far they have regressed after looking promising in week 1 and 2. Is all it took the rest of the NFL just two weeks of game film to have us completely figured out?
