  1. Not worth it. This thread has recapped it well enough.
  2. Agreed. It's hard to say though... Trent has been solid thus far, and I think a lot of us including myself are being very cautiously optimistic. I think Trent has the potential to become a great player, but we need to see his solid play continue for a little while to see if he can do it consistently. That's the key part to being a great one.
  3. Hester does get to the end zone a lot. Hopefully Roscoe can get there more than once this year. The thing that really makes Roscoe great... he NEVER gets hit by the first man, ever. He consistently gets at least 8-10 yards on a return just by beating that first guy, and he very often can beat the second and third guy too which takes him up to around 15-20 yards. That's why his average is so high. He gets the big returns every few games, but the rest of his returns are usually for around 10 yards also.
  4. McGillicuddy's right in downtown New Paltz. It might not be as fulfilling as you might be hoping, but there is a bills backers chapter that meets there; I think the mid hudson valley chapter or something like that. There's between 10 and 20 fans that went last year. The food was good too.
  5. I've always been a fan of Robert Royal. I've actually gotten ripped on here for supporting him a few times, but he really put his time in this off season. I was lucky enough to meet him at camp in 07. He's a great teammate and a leader and he seems to care a lot about the organization. I think he probably saw over the off season that everyone thought TE was a big concern and he did something about it to make the team better. What more can you ask from the guy. He's not the most talented, and makes some mental slips sometimes, but he's a very good all around TE. He's got some chemistry going with Tredwards and he's in great shape to make an impact this year.
  6. I usually make it to a couple of games a year. Don't know if I'm gonna make it out this year though, with the amount of tickets being sold. While i'm really happy for the bills that they're selling so many season tickets, the new features they have for the season ticket holders (ticket exchange, availability to individual games before the general public) it does make it much harder for individual game ticket buyers like myself. To answer the other poster... New York City.
  7. I live in Middletown in Orange County (about 60 miles from the city) where there aren't very many bills fans, and no bills bars to watch the game at- that i know of. There's a good one in New Paltz, but that's about 40 miles away. I know the ones in Manhattan and surrounding are probably awesome, but also kind of far away. I'm just looking for a place with a group of fans, so it's not just me cheering for roscoe's awesome punt return getting told to "keep it down buffalo" by a bunch of NYBretts fans. Anyone know of a place in Orange County?
  8. I totally agree. I would never want a pro bowler playing any position on my team. Those guys suck! Not to mention... one month of training camp is a way better opportunity to build chemistry with teammates than playing together for an entire season like last year. What a dumb idea that was! Get your head out of your you know what.
  9. What this really says is... "We used to like the Bills earlier in the off season. They addressed all their major needs and have good young talent that could put it all together and have a good season and possibly a wild card spot. But now the Jets have Brett Farve. So we're all going to change our mind about the Bills and Jets, and say that the Jets have the chance at the wild card spot, and the Bills will be back to sucking and they might be 7-9. There's just no way they can beat Brett Farve even though the rest of that team isn't very good." Not at all surprising.
  10. Just throwin this out there... I don't need to be drunk to buy random bills stuff on Ebay, to the tune of an authentic bills helmet for 200 clams... but being drunk probably won't help your situation.
  11. I can see both sides of the story. I'm all for giving Peters more money. He doesn't need to prove anything. He's an all pro. That means he's the best; in his first full year playing the position. That's no fluke. The OT position isn't like the WR position. You don't get hot one year and then suck the next. The dude has completely shut down Jason Taylor everytime he's played against him including twice in 06 when he was the Defensive POY, and including every other player he's ever lined up against. Should he be in camp? Yes. Are there injury concerns? Yes. I'm not saying they should give him a contract now. He should be here and I side with the bills about that aspect. I also realize there's a concern about precedent regarding negotiating his contract that was already restructured once, but this is obviously an extenuating circumstance. We signed him a new contract hoping he'd become a solid starter, not a perennial pro bowler. TWO OPTIONS HERE POSTERS: 1. PAY THE MAN WHAT HE DESERVES AND HAVE A PRO BOWL LEFT TACKLE FOR SEVERAL YEARS. 2. LET HIM SIT/WALK AND HAVE AN OFFENSIVE LINE THAT BLOWS FOR ANOTHER EIGHT PLAYOFFLESS YEARS. You would think we would have learned this lesson after we let Pat Williams walk. I realize I'm jumping to conclusions about Peters leaving, but that's where this is headed if the bills don't just swallow their pride and actually pay one of their premier players for a change.
  12. Me thinking this is great has nothing to do with me wanting to do it myself. The fact that I would never do this makes it all the more hilarious.
  13. Well I honestly hadn't thought about it from a conditioning stand point. I was thinking about it more along the lines of learning the system. I was assuming he was in playing shape, which may not be the case. The point I was really thinking about was how lame it would be if they didn't start him as some type of lame punishment, like it was pee wee football or something.
  14. Fact: Chad Johnson is not a homo or a douche bag, nor does he have a screw loose or stinko. He's actually hilarious. I don't like very many players that don't play for the Bills, but I love Chad Johnson. He's hilarious and he's a good football player. Does he talk a bigger game than he plays? sometimes, but so what a lot of people do that, they just don't get national media attention for it. I for one really hope that this is true. I think it would be really really funny.
  15. Yeah I don't like the idea of him coming in and not playing either. He might as well not come in. He's the best guy at his position on the whole team; he better be on the field. Lawyer Milloy started week one after he was on our team for all of 5 days. And that was going to a completely new team. I realize they've made some changes within our offense, but it's basically the same. I'm sure Peters could handle it.
  16. He moved after Gibbs left. New HC's want their own guys as coordinators.
  17. Yeah, cause you know people who consistently field defenses in the top 5 in the league need to get canned STAT.
  18. Hell yes. Dude plays with heart. Marshawn to the house 15 times this year on his way to the pro bowl
  19. Hey guys, for us out of towners that will not be watching the action live tonight, is the game going to be on the internet again? If someone could post the link that would be great.
  20. The bills overall record is irrelevant. Every franchise is just over or just under .500. Every franchise is really bad at some point in time, and every team is really good at some point. The bills were really good for a long time, in fact the most winning franchise in the 90's and during that time before the salary cap, the bills had one of the highest pay rolls in the league thanks to old Ralphie. Not to mention, the only time we hear Wilson talk is when he's doing some lame long winded introduction for something or someone. He's not out there making inspirational speeches about how we're going to the Superbowl. What owner does that?
  21. I don't know man. Says he has 18 years experience already. Sounds like he needs to hang it up. We don't want any Gary Anderson for a punter.
