  1. You know, I'm really teetering. Hasselbeck might be the call. Thanks for chiming in.
  2. Regarding QB, my opponent has C. Johnson. Negating to a degree, the production of Palmer. Plus my feeling is that Oakland will not put any points (hell, they couldn't at home against the Texans) and it could be the R. Johnson show. On the other hand, The Cards at home should be more of a game against the Seahawks. Having the Hasselbeck/Jackson combo is enticing. Free of "sharing" points (Palmer/CJ). Tough call. ....and thanks.
  3. OK gurus of the board. Give me your best advice. Who should go for me this weekend? Palmer vs Raiders or Hasselbeck @ Arizona ************************************ Pick 2 RBs from the following T. Bell @ San Diego D. McAllister @ Dallas F. Taylor vs Colts M. Jones-Drew vs Colts I'm actually toying with both Jag runners. I've done it before with good results. Taylor got 100 yds and Jones-Drew punched in TDs. Bell ran well last week and McAllister has been very solid, but both have tough run Ds to contend with. I'm really torn about the QBs, but am leaning towards Palmer.
  4. An inexact science, this FF we play, isn't it? It can rip your heart out.
  5. inkman, I tried to acquire Grossman a few weeks earlier. I remember thinking what GOOD matchups he had during the playoffs. The deal didn't get done for whatever reason. I'm glad it didn't happen. I hope you have other options or that he straightens out for you.
  6. Henderson, Walker, Palmer........I won, but barely.........I'm concerned moving into the playoffs....
  7. Good gravy!! I think he's playing solitaire!!! Answer the man, LSI. How many teams in the league you're romping in?
  8. 10 team league. Standard scoring. Two divisions of 5. Two division winners get a bye. 2nd and 3rd place play week 14 and winner of that plays division winner for right to play week 16 for championship. This week 13 is meaningless to me. I'm locked into 3rd place. Trade deadline past last week. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1TE, 1K and 1 Defense. Here's my roster. QB....Palmer, Hasselbeck RB....D. McAllister, F. Taylor, M. Jones-Drew, T. Bell, M. Bell WR...J. Walker, D. Jackson, M. Colston, D. Henderson, D. Mason TE....R. McMichael, B. Utecht K......J. Scobee, R. Longwell Def...Steelers, Panthers Self evaluation......sketchy at RB and TE and hoping to play the hot guys. Good, if not very good elsewhere. We'll see. What do you have going on?
  9. Colston vs Tampa Driver @ Buffalo Walker @ Pittsburgh Bruce @ Kansas City Branch vs Raiders M. Jones @ Tennesee Any advice would be much appreciated.
  10. Right. But Deuce is averaging 4.8 ypc and WM 3.9. I own Deuce and would not trade him for WM. WM will get more carries, DM will more effeciently outpoint WM. Therefore, Bush and Deuce stand alone.
  11. Rivers, Plummer, Losman, Harrington (Harrington ?) are all "good" plays, IMO. Bush should shine against an aggresive upfield defense. He should see lots of swing passes and screens. He's a good bet to take one the distance in this game.
  12. Understood. Suddenly the trade route is looking awfully appealing, inkman.
  13. You know, I picked him up and now have a QB by committee. Carr/Favre/Grossman. Playing what seems to be the best matchup weekly. It hasn't killed me yet. Having said that, I'm not crazy about his play against what should be a rather ornery Dallas club at home. He might get banged around a bit.
  14. sorry....that was me....just for the record.
  15. Do you have any FA recourse? If not, the trade should do you for the week.
  16. While agree WM seems to be the safer more conventional RB, Bush gets many looks in the passing game and will have a lot of open field to do his magic. WM will clearly have more yardage, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bush gets in the endzone more.
  17. I thought Rivers looked sharp against a sturdy Steeler D Sunday night. I can see Martyball letting Rivers toss it around a bit against the 49ers this week. Allowing him to connect with his receivers. I like his play best of the list you have presented.
  18. Nothing wrong with trying to improve. Whether I'm 1-4 or 4-1, there is always room for something to be done. But, no one has the quintessential roster. You have good players, I suspect you'll turn it around. If I were to offer any advice, I'd say go get another RB the likes of a McAllister. Someone who you wouldn't need to give up that much but is underappreciated and flying under the radar. He's getting his carries and producing well most weeks. Hang in there. You'll be fine.
  19. I don't see any major weaknesses. But, if I understood you correctly, you traded Bell for Fitz?!?!?! THAT was a mistake. Not because of the injury either. Undo that trade and you're golden.
  20. Gates vs Steelers Miller @ Chargers Gates may seem like the logical choice, but, I figure both defenses will be stout agaist the run forcing either team to, perhaps, pass more than usual. Gates is the top option which is fine against a lesser defense, Pittsburgh will look to clamp down on him. Whereas Miller isn't the top option and might/should have the middle of the field to roam. Or, as usual, am I just overthinking this and stick with Antonio?
  21. Portis for sure, then I'd probably go Gore. Though, I do like McAllister this weekend as well. I'll be playing Deuce. Good luck.
