  1. Thank you, I said the same thing in an earlier thread. Aaron Williams hit out of bounds was beyons stupid too.
  2. Summers deserved to be cut for that play. I was angry. The Aaron Williams play was a boneheaded penalty.
  3. Couldn't disagree more. Linebackers are generally only as good as the lineman in front of them. Dareus and Kyle have to keep them clean and allow a free pass to the ball carrier.
  4. I think all time it has to be Reuben Brown. Lost track of the number of times I heard holding/false start #79. Teams got so much pressure blitzing the interior of the offensive line. I like the earlier commen ts about Dareus and Kyle. I don't know why these guys get so much praise when the team has been so horrible against the run.
  5. I'm just worried he's tied so closely to people who were such failures here like Donahoe and Modrak. Modrak epecially as I remember every year at the draft luncheon he would say the draft was the lifeblood for talent in the NFL and every year the Bills sucked ergo he had to be responsible for the lack of talent.
  6. You make it sound like he was a 350 pound slug. If you were in the kind of shape he would have to be in tyo play football then yes, playing football would be the only way there would be wear and tear on his knees and back. IIRC correctly the Vikings originally gave him a 3 year contract so it would have been perfectly reasonable to give him a contract of that length.
  7. That's bologna. Pat Williams was much like Fred Jackson in that his chronological age doesn't reflect the wear and tear on his body. Pat didn't really play his first few seasons in the league so really when he left he was in the prime of his career. Also Pat Williams didn't start a game untill his 4th season in the league and didn't become a full time starter untill his 5th. Yeah, like I said earlier in the thread more disappointed in the Bills than Pat.
  8. That's exactly what I meant. IIRC Thurman Thomas said if Ralph had thanked him and asked him to retire a Bill he never would have played that season for the Dolphins. It pained me so much to see him in a Dolphins jersey. I remember people compared tackle & sack totals for him and Ron Edwards. Sacks have nothing to do with run defense and it's possible to be good against the run without ever making a tackle. In Pat's case he occupied 2 blockers a lot of the time freeing up linebackers to make the tackle on the back.
  9. Anyone else really disappointed about this: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/04/23/pat-williams-to-retire-with-vikings/ ? I remember making my first post on the Stadium Wall that I thought the Bills run defense would suffer when they lost Pat Williams. I knew Ron Edwards didn't have what it took in run defense to replace Williams. A little disappointed as the Bills brought him into the league and he spent 2 more years with Buffalo than Minnesota. Letting him go is just further proof Donahoe didn't know what he was doing.
  10. Bjoern Werner. FSU defensive ends suck in the NFL other then Boulware. See Andre Wadsworth, Jamal Reynolds and Reinard Wilson I'm on record as saying Braylon Edwards would be a bust in 2005. Maybe not a bust, but has not come close to living up to what the #3 pick in a draft should be.
  11. As soon as I saw refs make mistake I immediately thought it was the Giants and Steelers game. Being a Bills fan I've seen some poorly officiated games, but I think that one was the worst. Called a helmet to helmet hit when it didn't happened. I still think the Roethlisberger pass should have been called incomplete.
  12. I live in Canada and get most of my television from Boston. I believe Bob Kraft actually had to sign a deal with the city of Hartford to move the team there and build a new stadium before the new stadium was built in Foxboro.
  13. I saw no mention of Patrick Peterson. Is it that he is not considered in the same class as Dareus, Newton, Miller or Green. Or is it because he plays CB and the FO does not consider this a need. Almost everything I read considered Peterson elite and safe and I am just curious how Buddy et al. feel about him.
  14. I like the player conduct policy, but he's been inconsistent in applying it. Why Brandon Marshall has never been suspended for even a game is beyond me.
  15. Not that I necessarily want him, but Patrick Peterson has to be in the top 5. Bills are in a good spot this year.
  16. I keep seeing people mention Evans. I remember at the time liking the pick, but not loving it. I wanted Will Smith. Imagine a d-line with Smith, Sam Adams. Pat Williams and Schobel. Smmith recorded 7.5 sacks that season too, but Evans filled a need and we though Kelsay or Denney would have been better.
  17. You mean Marv passed on decent players the year they drafted Whitner .
  18. I know he's not wasn 't a first rounder, but the Roscoe Parish pick drove me nuts.I know Buddy wasn't the GM, but he put it best when he said you have to get starters in the first two rounds. I knew based on his size he would never be anything more than a slot receiver.
  19. You mean another team that didn't want Robert Royal?
  20. The Bills also have Seattle's 4th correct?
  21. Zach Thomas used to lead the league in tackles. He had to be one of the most overrated players ever. The guy missed way more than he made. Tackles are quite misleading.
  22. Look at his entire body of work as qb. Today is an anomaly. having said that he's probably a better option than anything on the Bill's roster now.
  23. I remember hating this pick at the time. Thought he was to small to ever be a #2 receiver. Not his height, but his bulk. I believe he was only 168 lbs coming out of Miami and I did not think he could hold up physically. I thought the second round was too high to take a return man / slot receiver. In the second round you want guys who can start. NFL.com has him listed as 178 lbs now, which is big enough. I hope I am dead wrong.
