  1. Not with that defense. There's going to be a coaching change. Honestly, they look awful, but I doubt Julio gets traded. The owner loves the fella.
  2. We're all part of the Soccer Mom cult of Josh Allen. Biscuit is just trying to intervene before it's too late.
  3. Mayfield has plenty of talent around him; his coach is in over his head. Allen was thrown into the fire with a terrible o-line and a very subpar wr corps. This year, he's got a decent supporting cast, but last year his critics were not stressing his "terrible situation." Jackson fell into a nearly perfect situation.
  4. Good night mute dwarf. I just reacted to the other fella's post. Too busy wondering if Darnold's QR will drop below 1 to read the entire thread.
  5. That's just dopey.
  6. There are aberration Super bowls with very good defenses and game manager qbs like when Trent Dilfer won, but I agree for real long-term success, Allen must play better. I think it more likely than not he will. He's already shown remarkable growth in a short period of time, imo. I don't see any reason to suspect he won't continue to improve.
  7. So you think a very raw qb with 17 games under his belt who has shown significant progress over that time should be hypothetically evaluated as if he shows no more improvement or perhaps regresses for the next ten years? If he stays where he is at, he's a game manager capable of a few wow plays and clutch in the fourth. That last one is unlikely to lose any qb in the league his job. It's also much more likely he continues to improve. His ceiling is elite. His floor is sustainable pro. But go on with your deep analysis.
  8. What is this rational thoughts business? Don't you know Josh Allen can't hit the long ball and we should all be very, very concerned?
  9. Dude, I don't have a problem with Josh Allen's long ball. He's a little off right now. It wasn't a problem in the past and it won't be in the future. I was just pointing out that this is the new crying point for the folks who don't like Josh Allen. When that isn't a problem, they'll find something else.
  10. Long ball is the new completion percentage. When that gets fixed, the same folks will find the next thing.
  11. I'm concerned about the folks who are concerned. Allen is getting better and will continue to get better over time. Not sure I can say that about some of these posters.
  12. He goes down at the five, you run the clock out, game over. That said, I'm glad he ran it in.
  13. Keep giving them hell, Joe.
  14. Allen looked better in the second half. If he doesn't go out with a concussion, it's plausible the Bills win that game.
  15. Isn't it obvious? The Dolphins are going to score minus one.
  16. Not good, Gunner. I can deal with your disdain for religious folk, but disrespecting hockey is an altogether different level of heathen.
  17. I agree. I acknowledge the very reasonable arguments on the other side. I'm not going to bash Beane if he goes the other way on this, but it seems to me we find ourselves perhaps somewhat unexpectedly among the top eight teams or so in the league. It's a weak year in the NFL and with an elite defense, bolstering the offense with an elite skill wr could plausibly make a surprise Super Bowl run possible. All this, of course, predicated on Green truly being healthy, able to grasp the offense quickly, etc.
  18. I don't agree with your view of Allen. I think his floor is already pretty good and the likelihood is he's going to be one of the top qbs given normal development and game experience. You've been around a long time. You're not a troll. I do think you're getting a bit too upset. Everything is fine and you are entitled to your opinion and observations.
  19. It's drunk, illiterate, dishonest Scott Law apparently.
  20. I'm actually agreeing with Scott Law in this thread. It must be right.
  21. I think AJ Green would accelerate Allen's progress and make the wr corps significantly more dangerous. I hope we make a run at acquiring him.
  22. I am not denigrating the Bills. They absolutely have a top 3 defense, arguably the best in the league. Doesn't change the generally poor level of play throughout the league. It takes less to be top ten in a year like this one is my rough sense of it. If the offense improves over the course of the year, given Allen's youth and the large number of new players, and avoiding significant injuries, there's an outside chance we could actually make a Super Bowl run, as crazy at that may sound. ^^^^This fella said it more briefly.
  23. The rest of the league has a lot of mediocre and poor teams. Not all that hard to be top ten right now.
  24. What they lack in common cents, they make up for in krafty dollars.
