Vikings 4th round rookie, Khyree Jackson dies
Bill from NYC replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was a very interesting player. He only played 2 seasons at Alabama and he wasn't a starter. That said, when Saban did put him in he was a VERY good player. He was a steal in round 4. May he rest in peace and his loved ones be blessed. -

Of course Pegula is in charge. He owns the team. duh. He also does not seem to be a meddling owner such as Mr. Wilson. Do enlighten me please....Do you think that their power within the organization is 100% equal. Is this what you truly believe? Are they also equal in every phase of life? I wonder, do they both eat the same food every day? Assuming that they don't have exactly the same amount of sway with the owner or in terms of building the team, who would you think would be more powerful? McDermott obviously got Beane the job. Did you ever get your boss hired to be in charge of you? I for one never did and I wonder how many have experienced this. Your comment that implied that I could never change an opinion I hold was rude, but no apology is necessary. I am however glad that you no longer hold dictatorial power on this board.

Blue sky, Sunshine, what a day to take a walk in the park. Ice cream, Day dream, till the sky becomes a blanket of stars. What a day for pickin' daisies, and lots of red balloons. And what a day for holdin' hands and bein' with you. Lazy Day, Just right for lovin' away. Lazy Day, Made for a stroll in the lane, Baby, you and me (Baby you and me) and the honey bee ('Neath a shady tree) Lazy Day, Lazy Day, Lazy Day 'n' you 'n' me

My thinking is that if you think a player is good enough, take him. If you like a player THAT much, why trade down not once but twice and for minimal return? In other words, McDermott took two chances on losing Coleman. I hope the kid is a superstar but if they were willing to gamble that much on losing out on him, how good should I expect him to be? How would you explain what happened?

GREAT post but you are beating your head against the wall. Soon you will be shouted down and told that Beane (and NOT McDermott) is calling the shots. As every poster on this board knows, McDermott traded away the Mahomes pick to draft a cornerback before Beane was even working for the Buffalo Bills. In fact, it was almost certainly McDermott who got Beane hired, and probably could fire him at will. Since then McDermott has focused primarily on defense wrt top draft choices and expensive free agents. Beane is a smart man but I'm not really sure if he has a scouting background. McDermott calls the shots and in doing so has deprived our FANTASTIC superstar QB of the weapons he needs and fully deserves.

Name one player you hope you are wrong about...

Keon Coleman by far. I am NOT saying that he won't be good. What I'm saying is that I didn't, and still do not understand the manner in which he was chosen. Josh Allen is our future HOF QB. If you think that a receiver is THAT good, why on earth would one trade down not once but twice before selecting him? He seems to have this dynamic personality. Let's hope that his selection was not something of a publcity stunt for fan appeal. Look, am I happier to see Coleman drafted early than another CB, MLB, or DT? Yes, much happier and I thank McDermott for doing this, but again; the fact that he would trade down not even once but twice before selecting him causes me to raise an eyebrow. That said, let's hope to see him rip the league apart and score 20 touchdowns or more!!! -

Stand! In the end, you'll still be you One that's done all the things you set out to do Stand There's a cross for you to bear Things to go through if you're going anywhere Stand For the things you know are right It's the truth that the truth makes them so uptight Stand All the things you want are real You have you to complete and there is no deal

Close your eyes McDermott haters…he’s a top 10 HC
Bill from NYC replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
None at all. I am just constantly amazed at how many folks think that Beane has more than, or even an equal say wrt the draft than does McDermott. Certain coaches control the draft for their respective teams. -

Wait, do you think that Shanny controls the draft in SF? -
