  1. Terrible. My girlfriend's mother, God rest her soul, passed from breast cancer almost 3 years ago. This is Munchausen Syndrome though.
  2. I like Adam Froman, the QB from Louisville and JC transfer from Santa Clara I believe. He went undrafted and Matt Waldman, author of the Rookie Scouting Portfolio, had Froman as the #4 ranked QB in this year's class. He has the size: 6'4" He has the quickness: 4.55 40 time with a 4.05 shuttle
  3. He isn't listed in the UDFA list, but I know he didn't get drafted. Adam Froman, QB from Louisville was the 4th ranked QB according to Matt Waldman, who wrote for the NY Times draft blog this year. Here is a link to his analysis and video of Froman: NY Times Draft Blog I also like Tori Gurley, who is a big tall WR that Nix has shown to covet.
  4. Ayers is slow. No thank you. If you really want a guy that would make you not feel bad about getting Von Miller, it would be either DOntay Moch, or Sam Acho.
  5. I like Tyrod Taylor and Froman the QB from Louisville
  6. I like it. I personally like Moffitt. Any person that gets caught eating his own boogers on national TV and not giving a f*ck is pretty good value. I also think that Tyrod Taylor has some merit as well. He was one of the 4 QBs to visit (Newton, Gabbert, Ponder, and Taylor) One Bills Drive. I think they would only target him, however, if these other guys are off the board.
  7. +1 Not to mention his character. I know people think he may have hurt himself by being the one guy named in the lawsuit, but it is a testament to his character and how much respect he garners from his peers. He is the safest pick in this draft IMO. He has the consistent production in a major conference, and the elite measurables that TCK eluded to, to validate why he was so successful at the college level. Miller is already quick and getting bigger...once he gets more physical under the tutelage of Wannstedt, he will be unstoppable.
  8. I really can't wait to see "Tree of Life". The trailer alone could win an Oscar.
  9. Usually around this time of year, we start hearing reports that the team with the #1 pick is ready to start negotiating a contract with who they are going to be selecting. Seeing as how we the NFL is locked out now, we will have no idea who Carolina is going to select unless reports start trickling out.
  10. The thing about people suggesting we are going to pick either Mallet, Dalton, or Kapernack is that neither of these guys were invited to One Bills Drive for a workout. Ponder, Newton, Gabbert, and Tyrod Taylor have all been to One Bills Drive this offseason. The Bills are obviously targeting these players and the report that has the Bills researching a possible trade back into the 1st round to target someone like Ponder have some merit.
  11. I don't think Luck is as real of an option as everyone believes he is. He still has two years left of eligibility and went back to school even though he was the undisputed #1 overall pick in this year's draft. What makes everyone think that he is going to eschew his final year of school? People assume that he it is a foregone conclusion that he will be available next year. Unless they plan on signing Fitzpatrick to a long term deal this team is going to draft his successor in this year's draft. If either Nix or Gailey are thinking this way, neither of them deserve a job in the NFL.
  12. Cam Jordan is a real possibility, but if JJ Watt,IMHO, needs to be considered as a top 10 pick and I wouldn't be disappointed if the Bills were to select him at 3. His measurables are off the charts for a man his size and definitely merits consideration over guys like Fairley and Bowers.
  13. Well put Birdog. I think you hit the nail on the head in your last two posts.
  14. People are concerned with Gabbert's lack of production at the college level, but if you look at the last QB that was taken at #3 overall, Matt Ryan, his numbers weren't anything close to spectacular. In fact, they were very Fitz like. Matty Ice only ranked 60th among 1-A QB's his senior season in completion percent (59.3), 61st in QB rating (127.04), 56th in yards per attempt (6.89), and best of all, 2nd in most INT's (19). Not exactly awesome stats from someone in a "weak" conference. I can only imagine Bills fans reaction if Gabbert put up those stats. I think Gabbert's ceiling is much higher than Matty Ice's. He is actually faster than Matt Ryan while carrying much more weight, and his release is that much quicker. Both of which are what Gailey's offense is predicated on.
  15. I think of the last OT from USC that was flying up draft boards and that was Winston Justice. I remember the Bills were supposedly in play for him in the year he was drafted, but he fell to the 2nd round and has been a pretty large disappointment for the Eagles.
  16. I know he backpedaled a little bit, probably because he was learned by Buddy that tipping your hand 6 months prior to the NFL draft is uncouth. Do I get another "Ding" for using uncouth? Ralphie just said they wouldn't reach for a QB. Nix admitted that Gabbert has always been high on their draft board and his staff have gone out of their way to explain why his production wasn't where it should have been while at Missouri.
  17. Having lived in Philly for almost 3 years, I can tell you first hand that the people of Philadelphia aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.
  18. The reason why I believe the Bills will select QB at #3 is because Ralph said that drafting a QB in this years draft was the team's top priority. I know he said this back in October and Fitz performed admirably after that statement, but other than stating that the team will not reach for a QB at the #3 spot, Ralph hasn't come out publicly and said that he recants that statement from October, or even has given a vote of confidence for Fitz. People that think Ralph is going to suddenly cede responsibility to Nix after calling the shots all these years are crazy. Nix and his staff compile data and Ralph chooses who the team will draft. Even after they drafted Lynch, they still drafted another RB in the 3rd round at Ralph's behest.
  19. That QB that you speak of is already on the roster and his name is Levi Jones. Fitz only has one year left on his contract. They will draft his replacement this year with either the #3 pick in the draft, or they will trade back into the late 1st to select a QB.
  20. I hate Philly and this godforesaken area.
  21. Same here. I live in Manayunk and have some Philly fans that were going looking to go up to the Ralph with us.
