I have not seen that movie but to me it seemed similar in concept to Existenz. In any case, the point being that this is not an original story as is hyped in the reviews and public reaction. It may be a different take on the idea but the premise is not ground-breaking.

My comments on your thoughts: I saw Inception and was not very impressed. On the plus side - good visuals, good direction. Gripes - (1) the concept is not original and is ripped from Cronenberg's Existenz. (2) DiCaprio is not showing any range in his acting. His acting and dialog delivery in Departed, Shutter Island and Inception are the same (3) There is a fine line between a complex story and a confusing one and this movie crossed it. (4) Too long by half an hour. The last 45 minutes or so were just like some dumb action movie. Ultimately, I came away unimpressed with the story. But it won't spoil your afternoon if you do watch it

After such a boring summer of movies, I am looking forward to this one.

What a world of talent gone to waste due to poor work ethics. The Bills have all the leverage in this situation. Lynch is under contract and have no pressing need to get rid of him. If he plays poorly this coming season, Gailey can bench him and Lynch only hurts himself by making himself incredibly unattractive for a decent contract with another team next year. If someone needs him badly, as reportedly Seattle does, we can trade him. So the only loser in this situation is Lynch which I am not sure he has the mental IQ to realize. I was not happy spending a first rounder on a RB that year but seeing his boyish enthusiasm and the press about 'Mama's Boy' I was hopeful that we have a player who will really help the team. Sadly that did not come to pass and the frustrating thing is that it is not due to lack of talent.

I was rather hoping for a nude Marilyn Monroe myself. But hey, whatever floats your boat. -

Fred Jackson to Marshawn:
Fan in Chicago replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My guess is that the front office has tried. I expected him to be traded the weekend before the draft. But who knows ? Perhaps there were no takers given his apparent lack of motivation and his off-field troubles. -

Really ? Schobel - the guy who has been the most consistent feature of our defense for the last several years ? The guy who shuts up and does his job ? Nary a controversy nor a sucky attitude ? P.S. If you were being sarcastic, I take my post back -
I don't think anyone here is overblowing it or calling him God. I, for one, am acknowledging that he failed as a QB but by all accounts was an honest and decent guy. Perhaps he did the cleanup for PR but lets not discredit him for doing it in the first place irrespective of his motivation. Also, how is your comment about him being single and liking bars relevant to the conversation ? For one reason or the other, he failed as a QB for the Bills. But he was a good guy in the time here. Let your opinion of him as a QB not cloud your judgment about his actions off the field.

Injuries non-withstanding, at some point we need to stop giving this guy a break. -

I agree. If we are solid at 4 out of 5 positions, we should do very well this season on O. On D, unless Troup turns out to be a major bust, we should be way better than last year. I know other teams in our division have also made advances, but if we land Gaither, I will truly feel very optimistic about a playoff appearance this season. -
From me too.... This website has immensely enhanced my 'fan-ship'.

Well, welcome. We envy you but your team gives us long suffering fans hope.

Chris Brown - Bills "Reporter"
Fan in Chicago replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What exactly are you complaining about - that he has not written about something that you believe is happening behind the scenes ? Perhaps he is waiting for something real to happen ? Writing about rumors isn't really reporting. From his blog, he writes "ESPN Rumor Central looks to be speculating more than anything else, but they believe a veteran free agent offensive tackle could be pegged." He is merely commenting on what has appeared on Rumor Central. He did not state it as a news item. If there is a specific item of his you want to criticize, please link it. -
Thanx. Just did every step and it took all of 2 minutes.

I have read this statement several times on this board but can't seem to find information to check it against. Can you provide a link ? I have read his performance stats and they look very good - which means he is productive and implies he is not lazy/has bad ethic.

At last someone else who also enjoyed it. Most people who I recommend it to ask in total surprise - 'Which one ????' A masterpiece. If you have the patience, try another foreign movie called 'Revanche'.

Or see if they are in need of another running back or safety.

I agree with the first part of your post. However, I have still not reconciled the Spiller pick in my heart and mind. No matter how good his talent may be, I feel the O may have been better helped overall by a line pick. If a highly graded player was not available at our spot, we should have traded down. This is the 3rd first round pick we have spent in the last few years on a RB - a position which can be more than adequate with a lower round pick given better blocking. I remember when mcGahee was picked, the spin was that he was such an incredible talent that him rehabing in the first year would be a price worth paying for the returns we will get once he starts playing. Well, we all know how that turned out. I hate it when people point to the Mike Williams pick and say the crap shoot. Sure it is - but I would rather bust out on a line player than a skill player when our lines are weak. Spiller is a luxury pick in a year of needs. A player of his talents helps a team on the cusp of greatness which we certainly aren't yet. I do disagree with the second part of your post. I do not think this was a marketing move. I sincerely believe Nix and company are obstinate about sticking to the board and picking BPA.

I agree with you. First we added Dwan Edwards and Andra Davis - not flashy but solid pick-ups. Then a good low center of gravity NT and couple of other linemen. These choices along with an already solid DB corps and an expected good DC makes me feel confident in our D. I think we have the potential of being a top-10 D this year. Yes, I really think so.
