  1. Or see if they are in need of another running back or safety.
  2. I agree with the first part of your post. However, I have still not reconciled the Spiller pick in my heart and mind. No matter how good his talent may be, I feel the O may have been better helped overall by a line pick. If a highly graded player was not available at our spot, we should have traded down. This is the 3rd first round pick we have spent in the last few years on a RB - a position which can be more than adequate with a lower round pick given better blocking. I remember when mcGahee was picked, the spin was that he was such an incredible talent that him rehabing in the first year would be a price worth paying for the returns we will get once he starts playing. Well, we all know how that turned out. I hate it when people point to the Mike Williams pick and say the crap shoot. Sure it is - but I would rather bust out on a line player than a skill player when our lines are weak. Spiller is a luxury pick in a year of needs. A player of his talents helps a team on the cusp of greatness which we certainly aren't yet. I do disagree with the second part of your post. I do not think this was a marketing move. I sincerely believe Nix and company are obstinate about sticking to the board and picking BPA.
  3. I agree with you. First we added Dwan Edwards and Andra Davis - not flashy but solid pick-ups. Then a good low center of gravity NT and couple of other linemen. These choices along with an already solid DB corps and an expected good DC makes me feel confident in our D. I think we have the potential of being a top-10 D this year. Yes, I really think so.
  4. You are on the wrong board.
  5. Trust me I am speaking from the grave.
  6. hate the pick but to NGU
  7. He is the TBD's version of deep throat - gave the board a heads up about a couple of items this offseason and they were correct. He posts infrequently, or when he has solid information. We believe he is in the know about things that are going on inside the FO. In general, the board tries to keep him under wraps.
  8. If you wanted precisely one person to respond, a PM would work better.
  9. The 'RW is cheap' rant ? Is there any evidence to back up your claims ? I think it is equally possible that the FO did not want to consider BR at all because of character issues - this discussion would be long before the issue of money is discussed.
  10. Eric Berry C.J. Spiller Not because I think they are bad players but because I think #9 is too valuable for a position we don't need filled.
  11. Or you could PM me your phone number and I will text you the first pick.
  12. PTR is sub-consciously channeling his inner Nevergiveup and cleverly implying a trade down such that we have no picks on Day 1.
  13. I had been a vocal critic of TO last season. But seeing that Reed and him are gone, the lack of experience at the WR position scares me. I wouldn't mind having TO back for at least one season in case his half assedness (sic) turns out to be better than the full efforts of Hardy/Johnson.
  14. Why don't you go ask those hip chicks who think a Wrangler around them gives them a bad girl persona ?
  15. ... I will jump off a bridge
  16. In the past two brutal years, refinery profits sank. Secondly, with the signals on mandates for increased bio-fuels, the message was clear to the refining industry - gasoline demand in the long run will stay flat or shrink. In response to the short term over-capacity and the bearish projections for the future, capacity was taken out of the system to balance the dropped demand and low margins.and 4-5 refineries were permanently shutdown What happens now when demand spikes ? I am sure the shutdown refineries will be put up as Exhibit A of 'measures to ensure high prices'.
  17. Conversely, if the FO is not sold on Claussen, I can see them staying put with the QBs we have and using the picks in shoring up the lines + adding a WR. ie. giving all the tools for Edwards to succeed. After all, Nix has been honest in saying that they cannot fill all holes in one offseason (I paraphrase ofcourse).
  18. Tiger did that ? Really ?
  19. Does that make us all resident aliens ? About time we got a earthizenship (sorry).
  20. The sponsors won't care if the people don't.
  21. I am not entirely sure the Redskins won't draft Clausen anyway. If they believe in Clausen, they may trade down a few spots, pick up Clausen and an extra pick to be used for an OL. The McNabb deal gives them breathing room for a couple of years while Clausen learns. I realize this implies that they would have spent two high picks on QBs this year, but a trade-down would still give them an option to draft OL.
  22. Do you expect TT to dress up as Jesus ?
