  1. Could you imagine a pass rusher getting head slapped by that dude?
  2. I see what you did there.
  3. My condolences to Linda Bogdan's family and any one who has lost a loved one to cancer.
  4. Nice to see you Jay. Warms my heart to see so many Bills fans were there yesterday.
  5. This was the only pick yesterday that had me saying WTF. I hope Byrd is as good as Perry Fewell thinks he is. He does seem to have the tools to be a terrific safety, but the Bills had stronger needs than the secondary. Maybe they finally took the best available athlete rather than trying to patch a hole?
  6. I just watched the replays again, and I am still jacked and pumped. Damn I gotta get some sleep. CUSE IS IN DA HIZZY
  7. I am amazed that Brady got her to marry him in California. California is a "community property" state, which means that assets and debts acquired during your marriage will be divided equally when you divorce. He's not stupid. He can smell the end of his career coming, but he's still set for life.
  8. It seems that every day brings another sorrowful story about a victim, their family, and their friends. My heart goes out to them as well as the emergency personnel who have witnessed horrors none of us should ever see.
  9. What a mess this guy is. He was busted in a Dallas area hotel, wasted out of his skull and wandering the hallways naked. He was a talented wide receiver, but never had the career he should have because of his attitude. Now that he's out of football, I don't think his is a story that is going to end well. Glenn witnessed his mother's murder when he was 9-years old, and has had psychological issues ever since. Boston Herald: Ex-Patriot Terry Glenn Fumbles
  10. The officiating in the game has been a joke. But since we are Bills fans, we've seen it all before.
  11. For me it would be after the Jets game in NJ this year when Ralph went down to the sidelines, ripped the headphones off of Dick Jauron's head, gave him a boot in the ass and told him to get the **** off the field and to take Turk Schonert with him. oh. wait a minute......
  12. Bob Hayes is one of the greatest players in Dallas Cowboys history. He finished his 11-year career with 371 receptions for 7,414 yards and 71 touchdowns, giving him an impressive 20 yards per catch average (both career touchdowns and yds per catch average remain franchise records.) He also rushed for 68 yards, gained 581 yards on 23 kickoff returns, and returned 104 punts for 1,158 yards and three touchdowns. To this day, Hayes holds ten regular-season receiving records, four punt return records and 22 overall franchise marks. But Reed played for 16 years and was more durable. Andre is fifth in NFL history in total career receptions with 951 (behind only Jerry Rice, Cris Carter, Tim Brown, and Marvin Harrison), ninth in NFL history in total career receiving yards with 13,198. Reed is also eleventh in NFL history in total career touchdown receptions with 87. He went over 1000 yards four times in a 16 year career, and was selected to the Pro Bowl in seven consecutive seasons (1988-1994). His stats are all appreciably better than Hayes'. IMO it just shows that the voting is influenced by personal politics and prejudices of the writers. I think there is still a bias against Reed because of the Super Bowl losses, as well as the perception that he could be a "bad actor" on the field. (In Super Bowl XXV against the Giants, he short armed a bunch of balls after getting hit hard on a crossing route. In Super Bowl XXVI, he disagreed with a ref's call and threw his helmet, resulting in a 15 yard penalty when the Bills still had a chance to stay in the game.) Outside of Buffalo, there is the opinion that Reed was a very good player, but not a "great" wide receiver. Andre Reed may get in the hall of fame someday, but I think he is going to have to wait a very long time just as Bob Hayes did.
  13. Well, it was a nicer way of saying Mort is full of crap.
  14. Sounds like most of his colleagues in the media think that Mortenson reporting a rumor as a fact by saying the Chiefs signed/want Shanahan. link Peter King: Adam Schefter:
  15. You know that Al Davis was the commissioner of the AFL when the merger with the NFL was brokered, right? The league we have today would not exist without the work of owners like Lamar Hunt, Ralph Wilson, and Al Davis. All three should be in the HOF IMO.
  16. Whitlock writes controversial columns just for the sake of being controversial. That's the only way he can get people to read his tripe. Everytime someone complains about him and posts a link to one of this ridiculous pieces, he gets more hits for the Fox Sports web site and can say to his employers, "Hey, look at all the people who want to read me!" I don't even bother when I see a headline like that.
  17. You really should read Larry Felser's new book about the AFL/NFL merger to get the whole story of what Ralph Wilson did for the AFL and the Bills. He was a key player in negotiating the first significant TV contract for the league. FWIW, Wayne Valley, not Al Davis was the owner of Oakland at the time. Davis was just the head coach. I'm upset with Wilson' retention of Jauron, but that doesn't change what he did for the Bills, the AFL, and the merger of the two leagues into the NFL we have today. He should be in the HOF based on that alone.
  18. Best wishes for a full recovery to #15.
  19. Make that 4 picks. I admire the way the Ravens defense plays. What a bunch of ball hawks. Esp. Ed Reed.
  20. It's too damn cold to leave the house?
  21. It should set off alarms that a Bills fan as passionate as Tony feels badly enough to write a column like this. Yesterday was a punch below the belt for those of us who give a crap about the Bills because the last three years with Dick were a waste of time, and now there isn't reason to believe next season will be any different.
  22. The 2009 Buffalo Bills: 45 players, 17 coaches, and 1 Dick. But I think this is my favorite so far:
  23. I don't hate the man or wish he was dead. It's kind of sad that people take this situation to that extreme. However, it doesn't make Ralph Wilson immune from reasonable criticism for how he has run his franchise. (Note: reasonable) He doesn't have a football man as a GM, and his head coach has failed to produce a winning season 3 years in a row yet rewards him with a contract extension. This is an extremely questionable way to run a franchise for someone committed to putting a winning team on the field. Bills fans pay for the product on the field with their ticket money, merchandise purchasing, etc. If the product is substandard, Mr. Wilson will continue to be criticized, or he will simply drive away fans who get tired of paying for a mediocre product. Granted, some morons hide behind the anonymity of the keyboard and write things they wouldn't think of saying in person. But you have to look at the reasons why they are venting such anger and bitterness. It doesn't happen in a vacuum.
  24. 2009 Buffalo Bills: Commitment to Mediocrity!
  25. This article is a must read for every Bills fan. The growing sense of alienation from the team and its management cannot be ignored.
