  1. I’m assuming Bills have a little over $20m in Cap room right now. There’s probably another $10m out there in a Hughes extension, Addison pay cut, Lee Smith retirement. That’s enough to re-sign D Williams, get a good pass rusher, and improve the Tight End position. The rest of the needs can be filled with draft picks and bargain hunting for vets.
  2. There’s something to be said for a little continuity and 2020 was a crazy year for everyone. Could’ve been a case of Butler was willing to take pay cut and Jefferson wasn’t. I got no problem keeping him at a reduced number.
  3. WR’s want to play with good QB’s. We had to pay top dollar for Brown when Josh was coming off a 50% completion year. Now I bet plenty of WR’s would come here for a cheap 1 year deal for the chance to play in a high octane offense.
  4. Hopefully Butler can play the Jordan Phillips role if Star returns or we sign/draft a space eater.
  5. Probably means Brown better be open to a pay cut.
  6. Well let’s hope not franchising Williams doesn’t result in RT going back to being a turn-style
  7. Josh no brainer. Even if I liked Edmunds more, no way I’m committing that to him now. The franchise # isn’t much different and I can delay that decision another year.
  8. Would be nice if Oliver, Ford, Epenesa, Knox and Moss take a step up this year.
  9. Yeah. I don’t think anybody thinks Milano is as good as David. So unless you’re the Jags or Jets, can’t see him getting a deal that averages more than $12.5m per year.
  10. I get the pessimism on re-signing him, but I think these guys realize there’s something special happening here. If Beane offers something close to what he could get, I think he stays. Teams now have more clarity on who’s gonna be available and what the cap will likely be.
  11. Morse took a pay-cut because he wasn’t getting more than that if he got released. Wasn’t some charitable thing he did.
  12. Not the year to strike it rich if you’re a free agent Guard. Seems like market is flooded with decent/good guards.
  13. Now with news Jags are tagging Cam Robinson, tagging Darryl Williams doesn’t look like a bad option. Williams will get paid a lot of he hits free agency. There’s a lot more cheap options at Guard. I think Feliciano is odd man out unfortunately
  14. This is why I think you tag him. Over-paying him for 1 year not end of world. Playing Ford at RT may be.
  15. I guess I’m in the minority but I’m using it on Williams. He’s the best RT on the market. Risk taking a step back on offense with a downgrade at RT.
  16. Smart move by both the Bills and Morse.
  17. Bizarre trade all around. Miami is stuck with paying $4.5m of Wilson’s guaranteed salary over the next 3 years. Titans are off the hook for that $4.5m but take an extra cap hit of $1.85m this year by trading him because of dead cap from his signing bonus. Titans now have only $8m in cap space.
  18. Geez. Wouldn’t it have been better for Titans to just keep him on the roster than take a $5m cap hit trading him for a swap of 7th round picks? It’s not like Tennessee has a lot of cap room.
  19. Yep. RT, pass rusher, and Tight End are what I’d spend money on this offseason. The other needs I’d fill in with low priced vets and draft picks.
  20. I hear you, but I just can’t see them gambling on a new Right Tackle when the passing game and Josh just put up franchise records. Yes, the Diggs addition was a huge part of that but so was better pass protection. Letting your Right Tackle walk over $3-4m in one year could turn out to be a huge mistake.
  21. I think the Bills will consider tagging Williams at $13m if they can’t sign him for $8-9m per year. Might be smart to eat the $4m difference to buy a year of stability at RT and not have to commit long term to him. Somebody will give him $12m over 3 years. Young QB’s have no chance with bad OT play.
  22. If Beane couldn’t find a RT at pick 38 (Ford) in the draft a few years ago, I hope he’s not thinking he’s gonna replace Williams with a draft pick this year. Can’t mess around with Right Tackle position. Tag Williams if you have to.
  23. Assuming Lee Smith retires, you’d still need an in-Line Tight End. A Gronk-type fits much better with Knox if we’re not giving up on him and not sure why we would.
  24. I don’t envy Beane this offseason. He’s got a lot of tough decisions to make.
  25. Where do you see 11 centers making more than $11m per year? I see 4 on spotrac. Morse is 5th highest paid. It sucks but the reality is his concussion issues make it really hard to justify him being the 5th highest paid Center when you can’t rely on him being on the field. I think he either takes a pay cut or gets released.
