  1. Every time the lawfully elected President follows commonly accepted practice and operates within the law, Tiberious screams that somehow, somewhere someone must recuse themself from something. As time goes on, while screaming "Recusal" in the morning he rages about "Corruption" in the afternoon. He seems particular torqued about Sessions resigning, Whittaker being lawfully tapped as Acting AG, and of course includes the notorious "we all know why..." word track used for centuries to defend inherent bias, racism, sexism and political manipulation. Even now, when given the opportunity for reasonable discourse, in spite of the Justice department confirming the legality of the move, in spite of 2 years of Trump guilty of nothing more than publically stating his disdain for the investigation (his absolute right) and truckloads of evidence suggesting what the lefty's claimed is not anywhere close to what actually happened, he remains steadfast screaming about recusal and corruption and how wrong it is that Trump fired Mueller just in case he does.
  2. I'll say it again...while there are obviously members of the press that are brave and put themselves in harm's way to deliver a story--they are few and far between. These people are so fragile and self-aggrandizing it's laughable. Shut up, Jimbo, give the microphone back, Jimbo, you having to report from the manure pile next to the landscaping shed on the WH grounds will remind you that you're just another monkey in the zoo full of really dumb monkeys.
  3. Went to Sydney last year for a vacation. Awesome place, beautiful and the history is very cool. Stayed in The Rocks section, and though I met no famous people per say, I may have passed you on the street. I'm going with Aussie Joe.
  4. Mods...please merge. (I think)
  5. I come from a rather large family. And yes. I am a parent and understand that math as well. It was more the thought of your father sliding you a quarter and a wink and you knowing he was 'bout ta tap dat a$$ that I found unsettling. But I concede that point, it is what it is, and I guess I just prefer blissful ignorance as a general rule.
  6. A. Well, if Macron wanted to have sex with someone near the Buffalo zoo, your story would be relevant. As he apparently does not, I agree, your story would not relate to the global economy. B. Gross.
  7. When I was a boy, we were pitching pennies in a parking lot with some of the older kids around wanting nothing to do with us. Eventually, as if through divine intervention, I toss a penny and get a leaner. For that brief flicker of time, on one toss, I was Steph Curry. As my other friends tried to knock it down and take the take, the pot became substantial. One of the older kids walked over, saw the pot and asked me if I wanted to go in halfs to win even more. As the game ended, he walked up, took his half and left. I see the French angling to be the older kid wanting to go halfs. I have no issue with renegotiating and/or walking away from trade deals that do not take American interests into account first. Not "only" just "first". And that represents the dilemma of globalism, where over time, American interests can take a back seat to the interests of others. Sometimes it's intentional, others not. If we're not not careful, it takes the basic theory of redistribution of wealth and puts it on steroids. Trumps generally stated philosphy is "Yeah, f that". Some life lessons you learn by studying Washington and Hamilton. Others come from the mean streets of WNY circa 1972.
  8. Spinning current buzz word "nationalism" into old buzz word "isolationism" may work for a beginner's mind, but not for those who pay attention to the world. It's akin to suggesting that the country needs to address a problem with "illegal immigration" actually means am individual is against "legal immigration". I was reading the commentary of Peppe Le Macron chiding those who dare to consider the interests of their own country as part of their political agenda. Considering the current and future history of France, the fear over the Brits leaving the EU, and the general condition of Europe we should most certainly walk at a brisk pace in the opposite direction.
  9. Any day you don't fire a remote through a TV screen is a good day to be a Bills fan. Worry tomorrow.
  10. I think Buddy H simply misunderestimated what he thought and/or said and/or meant earlier about the tape. What he was 100% certain of was that in every way possible, the Trump WH was part of it. He was pretty clear that the young lady who's main job at the press conference was to move the microphone from participant to participant was a big part of the problem for trying to move the microphone from one participant to another.
  11. I ask myself only the following "What is it that is so off the rails in the life of a Logic that he found a cancelled ceremonial trip by a US president an issue of major importance?". Who hurt you so, Log?
  12. I don't know anything about that. I hadn't seen the wh confirm what you said, but I'll take you at your word that the video was doctored. Did you need someone elses spin on this to help you decide the merits of the WH decision to suspend access? I did not. I watched doctored videos on many news sites where the dialogue that preceded acosta's boorish and unprofessional behavior was omitted. A guy got taken to school for being a moron. So?
  13. Voyeurism can be kinda creepy when you think about it. Admitting it's your kink is the first step in recovery. Godspeed Hix.
  14. Grassroots Protest sponsored by GoDaddy.com.
  15. 45 years old, star struck and in the post-ecstatic throes of hero worship is such a pathetic look.
  16. But you sir are a commie spreading disinformation. That must be taken into account.
  17. It's not assault, it was never assault, it should never be considered assault and calling so is an affront to actual assault victims. You cannot have serious dialogue when the rules change to include boorish behavior as assault. I'm only me, I only speak for me but if my daughter--roughly try same age as this young lady appears to be---showed me that video and spoke of assault I would tell her to toughen up and recognize the difference. Agree that the WH was well within their rights to put Acosta on ice for a bit. These conferences are a dog and pony show anyway, with one jackass shouting louder than another jackass looking for a soundbite to hammer someone with later on. Trump was civil and decent to Acosta and have him several chances to act professionally. Acosta chose not to. AMD btw these people are so incredibly soft and weak at times it makes me laugh. They are the veal of the professional world. ,
  18. You have to be a governor or senator min to get away this sort of thing. Important to know the rules.
  19. Actually 45 treated Acosta with kid gloves for most of the interaction. He was respectful, was very clear that he was not against "immigration" and answered the question about the people climbing the walls directly. Acosta was out of line, out of order and quite hostile in a room full of civility until DJT dressed him down as he felt appropriate. The highlight for me was him rabbit punching a dopey Peter Alexander when he began his time with a verbal ***** of Acosta. Acosta said "Pardon me ma'am."??? I didn't hear that initially. What a presumptuous and demeaning thing to say to a person just doing their job. Who knows what pronouns that person prefers? This guy is a danger to females everywhere. Physical, demeaning and prone to objectification.
  20. When I find myself In times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me. Speaking words of wisdom Let it be.
  21. Kavanaugh is one of the most amazing leaders we've ever been graced with as a nation and you'll benefit from his tenure on the court. You are welcome for that. In a time where folks like you are complicit in wholesale political character assasination, he looked you and your people in the eye and "Not me, not my family, not today.". If you had a quarter of the character of Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh, you would acknowledge the lack of any relevant evidence supporting your position in support of Dr. Christina Ford, the challenges in the changing facts of what she said, the reality that her character witnesses said "What she talking bout Wilis?" pretty much across the board, and this boils down more to you wanting to believe her more than you wanted to believe in any real evidence to support her claim. My sincere hope is that this sort of thing doesn't happen in the future to anyone. Assuming that it will, my sincere hope thereafter is that the next time this sort of thing happens, on a grand scale or not, it impacts you and yours, and not me and mine.
  22. It seems fairly clear that some people are comfortable with the process as it played out. Take an individual with an impeccable record of service and commitment, educated at some of the most prestigious institutions in the world, who has support from some peers on the other side of the political aisle from him...and eviscerate him publically for all the world to see. It stands to reason that some other people would see that as tragic, and vote against the architects of the attempted hit job. The only positives revealed during that entire hearing was that Kavanaugh had the courage to see it through. With all the wins and losses yesterday for either side, it's hard to imagine many of these politicians have that sort of character. And so it goes.
  23. But if forced to concede that, he doesn't get to use cliches like "echo chamber". That would be tragic.
