Matt Barkley - taking things more serious?
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every Bills fan ever is considering the alternative to JA being successful. Some are hoping against hope. Some are excited for the potential. Some hang on one preseason play. Some harken back to his college days. And some are on the ledge of a one story building just waiting for the cue to jump. There is a marked difference in what you wrote v what the other poster wrote. Personally, I'm cautiously optimistic that he will develop into a good Qb, and the other players around him will do their part. Line has to create holes for the RBs. Line has to give him some time to make plays. Receivers have to create separation and make plays that they should make with regularity, and catch 50-75% of the more difficult catches that surely will come their way. Coaches have to game plan and adjust in-game. I can tell you I'm having more fun watching this team develop than I have in years. Btw, nothing earth shattering but the son of a friend did an internship w/ Buff and said the team is fun and exciting to be around. For whatever that is worth, it's good to hear. -
Ah, I see. I thought maybe your perspective was that full term was reached when a fetus turned 18. You sidestepped the rest of the scenario, which is your right as the woman that carried you chose not to abort you an hour/a day/two weeks before you passed from one side of the flesh to the other. Lucky you. I really just wondered if things changed when the legal argument moved from a persons right to choose to a question of infanticide. I'm guessing not, given the relatively high percentage of children not killed by their parents.

Does anything change if the child is born, and 10-30 minutes later the woman decides to terminate the child's life? Let's assume the numbers are the same. 250 babies born, let's even say 10% suffer from birth defects ranging from Down's Syndrome to birthmarks to cleft palate. Some have an unknown father/sperm donor, and some women say they were victims of sexual assault. All good? And, what's up with putting "full term" in quotes? Is there a fuller term?

If I were invisible, I would become a US teacher in education of geography, because I personally believe that U. S. Americans are unable to because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our education, like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should—our education over here in the U. S. should help the U. S., uh, or, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq, and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our children. That is what I would do if I were the invisible. Thank you.

Report: NFL owners pitch 18-game schedule
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to nucci's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can you do that? Just change the calculation to "its $100 per reg season game"? What's next--you're only paying for the games when they win? This is a slippery slope to socialism. Or capitalism. One of the ism's for sure. -
The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Again, the obvious question is "Why wasn't the media criticizing Obama and Clinton for hammering Fox News during his reign?". Why was that an acceptable political model, why did news organizations enable and frequently participate in the trashing of that organization? -

I think to even consider accepting a list of acceptable opinions into your spam filter, you gotta at least be at under-sweater-over-bra stage. Assuming you and your kin are not Jackson White(rs), wow, that's some crazy right there. -
Most people have two for just this sort of thing. Don't baby him.

Chef, you really cooked up a grade A BS sandwich there. It goes like this: You have an election. The person with the most votes becomes president. The President makes laws and stuff because he/she is really popular with the people. The judge wants to be popular (everyone does) so ipso facto he/she listens to the president. The judge then rules by president ipso facto following the popular public opinion of the day. Ergo, the court makes their decision based on public opinion. Democracy Uno Zed Uno.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency

I heard the clip but did not see the video. The turn to glance at the heavens was priceless. Following their lead, the "free press" and the inordinate wealth of everyone ever associated with the NYT is the result of manipulation and oppression. I suggest closing the enterprise, liquidating assets, dismissing the enablers who work there, and voluntarily relinquishing pensions and all personal assets. Distribute the proceeds to the people. If they refuse, storm the gates! Or, you know, shut the power off and those elitist pencil pushers will crack in less than 8 hours. -
Mayfield looked terrible last night...
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw him play a few times last year. On a few of the magic Mayfield drives, the passes to his receivers were not all that accurate, relatively speaking, and the receivers made good adjustments and came down with it. As good as Brady is, how many times have we seen guys like Welker, Amendola o Edelman bend/twist/flip or lay out to make the play happen as well. I didnt watch last night, but my sense of first year magic qb's is always the same--a great career is rarely defined by one year. -
JOSH ALLEN post game thread

I have been known to fire a remote at my tv over far less than what we saw last night. I'm talking about a November fit when truly all hope was lost by October. The only thing that saved me was I have God-awful aim. -

The room is dimly lit, DaBills sits staring into the darkness, a half-smoked camel in the ashtray on the table in front of him. In his left hand he holds a glass of cheap whiskey, the ice melted like a young boys dream of Super Bowl success for his favorite football team. He always holds the glass in his left hand when troubled. "I...don't know if I can do it again" he says to no one in particular. "Since 1973 I've been watching these preseason games, hoping against hope to see...something....anything. It all seems too much." The door behind him bursts open, sunlight bathing the room, and a giant of a man walks through. Startled, DaBills7three looks up and asks "Be you an angel?". "No. I'm just a guy from a message board son, and I'm here to tell you to put down the glass, throw out the camels, and sack the %#*^ up. We've had it way worse than this since 1973, and those smokes'll kill you." or--go to You Tube and search for things like Rothlesberger Bad Picks like I did. It'll dull the pain. -
Group Chat: Your takes on the Offense tonight

Related: It's easy to understand what a player like Frank Gore brings to the team in terms of toughness and leadership. After that hit in the sidelines, banged up at 36 years old, in a preseason game...."Put me back in, Coach". McD gets some heat for process, clapping et al, but Gore brings it to the table. I'd love to see him take #3 on the all-time yards list in a Bills unit on the way to a nice run into the playoffs. -
