  1. That play was over in the blink of an eye, with no gain or as I recall a loss. Not to get too crazy on this one, but Was he engaged with an o lineman from the Steeler and driven to the dirt, or engaged with one and he reached out and grabbed another defensive player for an obvious hold? It’s just such an odd play to have a holding call when an RB is smothered that quickly.
  2. Excellent interview from a guy who seems both hungry and humble. Pay him indeed!
  3. On that note...I am not built for prison. I shall pass. Though, I'm 2onderingbif DirecTV will have it on. I have the ticket.
  4. It’s hard to duplicate that “throw the bottle through the screen” feeling at a bar.
  5. I had that filed under “Speed Bag-10 minutes” but I see your point.
  6. He was calling Rex, told him “THIS ain’t no slap-dick football.”
  7. For what seemed to me like an eternity, they blathered on about the Rooney connection. They ran a graphic with the original Rooney--Mickey, I think his name was, and he died in 1988. 1988. It was like watching the History channel. And then more yapping. The thing was, the Bills had the ball. The game was close, put the $#@!ing game on and analyze the plays/players on the field. It's fine to talk about Terry Bradshaw when the discussion about an enlarged prostate comes about, but you have to figure 50% in attendance do not give a crap about a history lesson in the middle of a playoff-relevant game. You wanna talk Steeler history? Do it at a break. And sprinkle in a little Bills history, ya mutt ya. Maddening.
  8. The change may well come some day, but there is always something about something and talented people sometimes just find a way to f things up. Doesn't make them bad people, but it just is what it is. He's gone, and there wasn't nothing nobody could do about it.
  9. Fair enough, I wasn't picking. I remember some penalties early last season but this year I can't really think of many. I think last week he took one for a late hit, borderline call but whatever. I think he's played smart this year.
  10. What's the "emotions getting the better of him at times" part? The guy plays hard, plays for his teammates and encourages the fans to be involved. His emotions contribute to the success hes having. Give me guys who give a crap every time.
  11. Don't forget about Singletary's fumble as well to snuff out a good drive lead by JA. If someone thinks that's not all on Josh, well they don't know nothing about nothing.
  12. Independent thinking is overrated. I just go with the group. Everyone wins.
  13. Interesting, thanks. I googled, well duck ducked, Irving Janis to read up a bit. Interestingly, he was a native of Buffalo. You probably knew that.
  14. The fallout for sandbagging Trump, in light of the FBI/DOJ crusade to take him out, in light of the sham impeachment debate that appears to be unable even to carry the entire opposition party, coupled with the Horowitz report and Barr/Durham comments from last week make this seem extremely unlikely. Like...civil unrest and full-on rebellion unlikely.
  15. https://apnews.com/bbdc563ad79a33a42d478633eeab6ca4 We have to make sure that they cannot do that,” she said. “We will make sure they, that we put them against the wall, and that they will have to do their job and to protect our futures.” The expression “putting someone against the wall” in Swedish describes a situation when someone is forced to address difficult questions or a difficult situation. But some right-wing voices on social media interpreted her comment as a call for violence against politicians. Thunberg tweeted that she and the youth movement she inspired is against all forms of violence. “It goes without saying but I say it anyway,” she wrote. Greta Von Climateklüsen taking a break from activating, but you know what isn’t taking a break? Climate! A couple other thoughts: Greta has apologized for the “put them against the wall” speech, advising it was a simple misunderstanding as she processed what she wanted to say in her native tongue to English. Taking her at her word, the real problem isn’t what she said or meant, there are crazies everywhere. What’s the explanation for the non-Swedish activists in the crowd cheering for the lining up of apostates against the wall in the non-Swedish sense? What’s that all about? Second thought—a lot of the links to her decision to take a break don’t even cite the apology or the controversy at all. Reuter’s, for example, simply reported it as a tired warrior taking a holiday. I wonder why.
  16. Silliness. He acknowledges what Kent said, but wants to play word games with who sai what to whom? I’m not sure why the VP of the US would need to be told that his son banking nearly $90k a month on a no-show gig that he was unqualified for while his father was in charge of distributing billions is “bad optics”, but once you found out that your team kept it from you, what’d you do about it? How does that make you feel now? Who failed to tell you, and why? The guy is more clueless with each passing day.
  17. Jiminy Chicklets that's Wheezy and company!
  18. The pump is coal-fired, did I mention that? We get the coal delivered by a family from West Virginia. Hard workers, but they are generally covered in some kind of black dust so they have to make the deliveries at night. The kids are hard workers, the boy, Wheezy we call him, he can chuck a piece of coal a mile. I usually tip him a nickle.
  19. The dems believe they have Trump on this very important national security issue. They should plow forward full steam ahead with impeachment and let the Senate take it up as our nation's national security is in peril. If our National Security has been endangered to the level they have emphatically stated is has been, it would be reckless and a dereliction of duty to step away at this point given concerns about the security of our nation. If the country is divided it's certainly not their fault given their view of Trump's obvious high crimes against the state that impact the security of every American on a national level.
  20. I have to admit I'm not big on change. After visiting the Jersey Shore last summer I came home and dumped 30000 boxes of plastic straws in my swimming pool. I might be part of the problem.
  21. One could argue that attention to detail is one of the fundamental characteristics a team might look for in bringing on a coach. Inability to manage their own personal finances might be an indicator they lack attention to detail.
  22. I've always wondered about this sort of political activism. How many people are significantly affected by protestors locked in arms and blocking streets? How many people die on the way to the hospital seeking treatment for heart attacks or other medical emergencies? How many victims of a stroke are disabled as a result of the additional time required to reach the hospital or the time it takes first responders to get to them? Choking victims, victims of assault, people who require oxygen and so on. Then wonder...if faced with some Heidi-looking mo'fos standing between me and the emergency room with a loved one in peril...what might I do? I agree that Trump should largely ignore this 11 year old anarchist, call out the civil unrest and anarchy-in-the-streets her ilk sells, and the impact on freedom loving people everywhere just trying to get to work and take care of her families. Compare them to the weather underground, perhaps share some stories on people impacted by these street blockades, and let people make up their own minds. I would think that many people could look at this young lady and decide she's unhinged all on their own. I think if left alone, it won't be all that long until she gets back to being the featured villain in a Stephen King movie.
  23. If the only punishment for running a 3 year grift on a sitting President is "let's not point fingers and let's come together for an emotional cleanse", I vote for leaving things the way they are. No downside, no jail time, just an endless cycle of political malfeasance and bland statements afterward that we all should do better next time. I'll take my chances with our side.
