Like to see someone coming off the edge and breaking down the pocket. Wheels and strength required. Does Ellis have any of these. Flowers just couldn't provide the strength when he went up from the 250's and although he had the 4.7something it didn't happen. Corey Moore had the wheels, but not much else, a "street racer". Kelsay and Denney just don't bring that off the edge that upsets the o-lineman's balance and lets them work leverages and moves. At least Denney can reach to block a passing lane. Schobel has the wheels at times and the work ethic, but his lean on the outside isn't strong enough and he needs to work those counters more. See some technique work as well from Ellis...coaching?

Cheers. The little I saw stood out. Running that spin into the tackle and then trying to get to the outside shoulder and get around the pocket just doesn't suit someone who's 6'7" and without wheels from the 5 technique. Wondering if technique of the D-line's factoring into the lack of production from the group?

...and then asking them to take the longest route to the QB or a technique that's probably easiest for an O-lineman to defend...

Was that the Aussie Jets punter? Then his replacement was signed, got injured and he was re-signed. Then he was cut again for another punter?

If someone's reviewing this game and they can be bothered, can they see how often Denney uses the spin to the outside or the basic swim move... to the outside. From what i can see on NFL.com he doesn't have the wheels for either of these moves to the outside. Also interested if he rushes from the 5 technique mostly or the 7 as the RDE? ...from a couple of plays I saw, this was really notable. Why not sub Ellis who's quicker (?) for this technique.

Any idea of what the foot injury is? As an aside is a DPM managing it or the same group that's handling McCargo. Seems somethings afoot with the linemen as well, Denney, Schobel and possibly McCargo (college injury duly noted) have had foot injuries.
