  1. It looks like there are some job openings at the Ralph: http://footballjobs.teamworkonline.com/tea...ions%2FSecurity
  2. That's the average going price for it and it's well worth it. It is a coffee table quality book on the Bills, an encyclopedia of everything about the Bills from their inception through the Super Bowl years. Has anyone read "Tale of the tape: A history of the Buffalo Bills from the inside" by Eddie Abramoski? I forgot about this one when I put the poll up and have never read it myself - it sounds like a good read.
  3. That's what makes it a good book. We all know the ending, we all hate the ending but the journey to that point was a great one.
  4. I really enjoyed the Marv book and thought that the first Relentless book was just a great history of the Bills (Sal should have waited a few more years before putting out the second volume) but I'd have to say that the book by Vic Carucci on the first SB season was a great read. Anyone have any other recommendations?
  5. Make it three for London Calling. For pure energy I still prefer the first Clash album (UK Version) but London Calling would work better on a desert island.
  6. It would just be soooo wrong if both RJ and Flutie ended up with Super Bowl rings....
  7. Rob Johnson is still available too but I wouldn't want him back in Buffalo either. Flutie had a good, short run in Buffalo (pun intended). Johnson showed flashes of real ability and did lead the Bills to a great comeback in Tennessee only to lose on the home run forward lateral. Both had their moments. But the bottom line is that the Bills lost both playoff games they appeared in and they are both ancient history. As a matter of fact, in the grand scheme of Buffalo Bills history, they will place somewhere well behind the legacies of Kelly, Ferguson, Kemp and Losman.
  8. Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper in a movie where they drive cross country from LA to NY.
  9. I wish we had Spielman a few more years in Buffalo. That man was a football player.
  10. 1. Hockey 2. Football 3. Soccer - Give me Soccer over Basketball, Golf, Nascar , Baseball or Tennis on tv (unless Maria Sharapova is playing ) I only watch Basketball or Baseball during playoff time.
  11. Jimbo - followed closely by Tasker and Darryl Talley Current: Takeo - Winfield was holding this position until he bailed out.
  12. We're having triplets Patriots win again Kevin Gilbride rehired Career ending injury (after your favorite player's name)
  13. Yes he was. Great idea to piss off the Hogs and make it even more difficult for undersized Jeff Wright. While there have been some bad coaches I expected a little more venom from the board for Gregg-o. Here's a guy who came in and totally turned a good program upside down (I'm going to make a top three rated defense even better as a 46 defense - let's go to a west coast offense - I've got a whole list of assistant coaches I want to hire, so what if they have no experience). What a tool.
  14. If the Giants signed a free agent that means Christie is still available. The Bills should at least bring him in to compete with Lindell.
  15. While he did say he'd love to play for Atlanta I liked his quote from an article yesterday on nfl.com: "I couldn't pass up the chance of playing for a team like the 49ers that has the history and some of the great players and all of the Super Bowls they have done in the past," Jennings said. "Growing up (in Atlanta), ironically, they were my favorite team." He just covers all the bases doesn't he? Once again folks - it's a business. While we bleed red and blue 365 days a year to the majority of the players it's just a job. BTW, here's the link to the Jonas article: http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/SF/8249146
  16. Dumb is fine (after all we're not talking about rocket scientists here) but I would have a problem rooting for a jerk on the team I support. Players like Randy Moss, Rodney Harrison, Warren Sapp, Michael Irvin, etc all have a world of talent but are annoying tools and their on and off the field antics just wear on me.
  17. I don't think Franks is overrated but I do think he will end up being overpaid as a marquee free agent TE. My concern about our TE situation is that we have our top two coming off knee injuries which does not make me too confident about the depth. I also think it would be helpful to a rookie QB to have a dependable TE in the mix. LT is definitely our top priority - I still hope the Bills can pull off the Travis for Shelton swap.
  18. As much as I loved the 3-4 back in the glory days and the Wade era I don't think Jerry Gray's ever been part of a 3-4 defense with either the Bills or the Titans. I think he would probably want to stay with his strength the way the system is set now. I'm still hoping that it doesn't happen but I would not be surprised to see Big Pat end up with his old boss Ted Cotrell up in Minny. We may have to see what Krumrie can do with the guys we have. Edwards is proven and they felt Anderson was worth a third round pick so let's see what we got.
  19. The Colts released Marcus Pollard today: http://www.colts.com/sub.cfm?page=article7&news_id=2724 He's been around a while - what do you think of him as a good veteran security blanket for JP? I don't really know how much he has left. I'd still prefer Bubba Franks or, to a lesser degree, Becht from the Jets but Pollard has always been a steady player. Thoughts?
  20. The Raiders have a commitment to finding players that are even stupider than their fans.
  21. The latest word is that the Jets are going to hold onto him. He would have been cut already if they weren't (he has a $250,000 bonus due to him this month). A few years ago I would have loved him on the Bills but at this point even if he was available there's little tread left on him and he's one more hit away from not being able to spell Chrebet.
  22. Here's another case of the cold hard machine known as the New England Patriots. Troy Brown, a player who was the ultimate team player this past season, doesn't even get tendered a contract. Don't let the door hit you on the a** on the way out Troy - that's cold even by Belicheck standards.
  23. Here's a link to an NFL Network piece on the new QB of the Dallas Cowboys: http://play.rbn.com/?url=nfl/nfl/open/nflf...ontextwidth=417 Say what you want about Drew (and we all have!!!) but he is a class guy. I hope he does well in Dallas - as much as I hate them Cowboys.
  24. I spoke to Adam Vinateri's agent today and he said he'd love to come to buffalo but can't because he'd miss Tommy Brady's post game back rubs. He said Marcia even gives him a happy ending after those game winning kicks.
