  1. I think it's hard for Posey to shine when his linebacking partners are Takeo and Fletch. These guys are Pro-Bowl level and Posey is a nice steady player. He reminds me of Carlton Bailey - good player but one you didn't really notice because of Cornelius Bennett and Darryl Talley and all the things they did.
  2. McGee will be fine especially if we can upgrade at DE and get more consistent pressure on the QB without blitzing. I agree with the point about getting Nate off of punt returns. Of course if McGee gets to the next level as CB we shouldn't have him as a return man. I always think of Jason Sehorn and what happened to him. Fast Freddie should be the man.
  3. I hate all the teams in our division. As a Bills fan you are born to hate the Fish. As a L.I. resident I'm surrounded by a**clown Jet fans so I have an extra incentive to hate their team. The Patriots never used to bother me because they were crap for such a long time. Foxboro actually used to be a fun stadium to go to and see the Bills/Pats games. Give them a little success though and I hate them as much as the Jets and Dolphins. And it's not even the team as much as their arrogant bandwagon jumping fans. So no, I can't root for the division - I can only root against them.
  4. Hey - I actually have to defend the wife on this one. The infamous flag swap took place the Friday before the Browns game. It doesn't take three weeks for mojo to die! You sure you didn't wash the luck underwear????
  5. Professional while he was with the Jets and now the Cowgirls. I thought the main issue down in Tampa was that Gruden was turning him into more of a secondary option and he didn't like it. Can't blame him for wanting the ball more. I don't follow the Bucaqueers so I don't know exactly what happened down in Tampa but I'll tell you this - what the f has Gruden done since the Super Bowl win? I believe they're the only Super Bowl winner to have two back to back losing seasons after winning the Super Bowl. Gruden split on Oakland befcre he finished the job and went to a Tampa team that Tony Dungy had assembled and had ready for another shot at the NFC championship. Who's to say that he wouldn't have taken them to the game that year. Gruden is overated - that Chucky crap is annoying.
  6. I'd rather have Shane Matthews than Tommy Maddox - hey we already have him! Seriously, I don't think there's any upgrade to be made to bring in a caretaker until JP's ready. Warner takes a lot of sacks and can't hold onto the ball, Maddox had his good year and has been injury prone ever since. For his flaws, Drew knows the system and is already here. Either put him on the short chain or open up the competition between Drew and JP in training camp and give one of them the shot to win out.
  7. That was a fun game to be at. I especially liked Sam Adams first sack of McCown - from where we were sitting we could see McCown drop back and then all of a sudden he disappeared from view as Sam drove him into the ground. Great stuff.
  8. Janikowski is the drunk kicker Vanderjact is the idiot kicker (as per Peyton)
  9. Unfortunately for Birk, an ultimatum would result in a see ya from the Vikes. Moss is untouchable in Minnesota. Even Culpepper plays second fiddle to him. Randy Moss needs a kick in the a** from his coach. Neither of his coaches in the NFL (Green or Tice) have ever taken him to task for his nonsense. Keyshawn Johnson was a major tool like Moss when he first came into the league - Parcells turned him into a professional. Not all coaches have that ability to change a player's personality.
  10. Great point - a team will usually have receivers out there for an on-side attempt. It's also good to have someone with the vertical leap Moss has if that ball takes a high hop. The Vikings are one screwed up team.
  11. Hollis is out of football with the bad back. Christie had a one year contract with the Giants. I thought he was more po'd with the way Gregg-o handled things than TD but who knows. In any case, Christie on the down side of his career would still be an upgrade over our p.o.s. kicker
  12. Pat Williams interception return for a touchdown against the fish. Close second: Drew's fake sneak/toss to Willis for a 30 yard touchdown against the Seahags.
  13. I remember thinking that at the time - smart penalty to take by the Steeler player. If not the whole 95, Willis would have had a big gain on that run.
  14. Watched the game with a friend who's a Steelers fan - before that posession started he half jokingly told me that the Steelers would run the clock out on this drive. For the most part I'm happy with our defense but drives like that where they cannot get off the field just kill me. An upper echelon defense does not allow a nine minute drive to a team with their third string QB and RB in. Brian f'in St. Pierre!!! The worst part is the Bills had to know they were going to run the whole posession and they still couldn't stop it. I don't believe in the "psychological let down" from the missed FG - just step up and make the play needed. Possesions like this and the fourth quarter end of game drives by the Jets (1st game) and the Jaguars show why this defense is not dominant like the Wade era defenses.
  15. Not the Patriots. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: I'd like to see San Diego v. Green Bay in the SB - just give us a good game.
  16. If Willis is able to get back to 100% he is going to blow people away. I think his stepping stone quote was an acknowledgement that he's still not completely there yet - it is frightening to think of what he'll do when he is.
  17. I wouldn't call it a bust. Given the available alternatives at the time he was the best possible option and an upgrade over RJ and AVP. He put fans in the seats and gave us a good half a season before crashing down to earth. I think the Bills really need to open up the QB competition in training camp and give JP every opportunity to take the job from Drew.
  18. That is sweet...NOBODY circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills!
  19. ...I had tried that link once before but got a Not Found message: The requested URL /billswatch/shout.mp3 was not found on this server. Same thing today. Got it from udonkey's link. Thanks
  20. Does anybody have a link for an mp3 of the Shout song?
  21. I hated when the Bills threw DeHaven under the bus for that Homerun forward lateral crap. And then to top it all off super genius Greggggg-o cuts Steve Christie in camp the next year (I know he was injured but a money kicker like Christie you work with and let him rehab - last I checked he was still performing well in this league). Those two decisions set quality special teams play in Buffalo back a long time. We have a good combination of personnel and coaching that finally turned it around this year.
  22. Read a preview in Newsday for the Jets-Rams game and found these numbers on the Rams special teams play: Punt Coverage ranked 30th in the NFL Punt Return Average ranked 31st in the NFL Kickoff Coverage ranked 31st in the NFL Kickoff Return Average ranked 32nd in the NFL OO-FAH!!! Did the Rams fire Bobby April or was he approached by Coach Mularkey to come over to a real team? Let's hope the Sheep can just outscore the Jests....
  23. Check out the Billieve hat on the same link - much better deal than the shirt.
