I really think you need to keep your suck preferences to yourself...children may be reading this. -
Philly signs RB Bell off of our Practice Squad

I vote for cutting Trent and letting Freddy run the Wildcat full-time. Freddy has gotten the ball downfield as effectively as Trent (i.e. not at all). -
Whether it's Guidry or Cunningham doesn't matter to me. I just think it's cool an old school Bill made his presence known on the board. He played during my favorite years of Bills football. I started following them in 1968 when I was 9. I have a scrapbook I made back then with newspaper clipping and program photos of the 1968 season. It's hilarious to look at now, only because of my incredibly poor "scrapbooking" skills! I loved those guys back then...they were "shot and a beer" kind of guys....I looked at them much like my Dad the DuPont factory worker - blue collar, hard working and dedicated to their jobs. And I had that childish awe and optimism about those teams...I wasn't old enough to be jaded or cynical. They weren't role models, but they were the focus of my attention, for sure...along with Bobo Brazil, Waldo Von Erich and The Sheik. Thanks for letting yourself be known and if you want to make a grand exit, it's cool by me.

What's $900,000 between friends? Maybe there are bonuses that get him over the $11 million mark?...like $100,000 per false start, perhaps? -

Live Stream and Feeds for Bills Games

VGA is the multi-pin connection and is for video only. If you have an audio input on your TV or soundsystem, you can run a plug from your laptop headphone jack to the TV/sound system input. I had to buy an adapter to fit the RCA plug input on my sound system at radio shack. Looks and sounds like a champ! Note that on my new (low-end) Dynex HDTV, the resolution isn't as high as my laptop screen so the picture isn't as crisp on the TV. -
Is the Bills/bengals game on television?
WotAGuy replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I did this with my laptop and just got a VGA cable and plugged it in. Might have to restart your computer to take effect. I also had to go into the Display properties and fiddle with the settings to match my TV's resolution. Note that many TV's don't have as high a resolution as your laptop screen, so the picture might not be as good as on your laptop. -
Edwards was Trentastic!!!

Honestly, what was up with Joe's haircut? He looked like Mo from the Three Stooges. Hate to see him become a parody on SNL, but man, it's heading that way.

Antonio Cromartie is PATHETIC

I wonder how he is going to come up with the $$$ for child support once his NFL career ends....... -

How did his wife ever make the decision to marry him? She had to know about the trail of children he has left in his wake.....wow. I don't know...I saw reports he is broke and had to get an advance from the Jets to make support payments. With all those kids, he won't have any income left! -
Get a big screen or laptop and put this up while you chill....make sure you expand it to full screen view

I have an idea to make the board better +

As long as the attacks and counterattacks are creative and humorous, I don't mind them at all. Kind of reminds me of the good 'ol days watching Beavis and Butthead bitchslap each other........ -
Something interesting came to mind earlier today

I'm not sure I've often seen in preseason the qualities you describe in a very young team like the Bills. On a young team where many jobs are open due to injury or lack of depth, I expect it will be a bunch of young guys running around somewhat overwhelmed and playing for themselves. There hasn't been much opportunity to develop a team attitude while guys are fighting for their own roster spots. And vets aren't going to overdo it because of the fear of injury - like we saw happen with Lynch and Jackson. Now, if we don't see the things you describe by mid-season, then we have serious problems!

I had hopes the Bills would play well and impress....and I have hopes I'll win the lotto when I buy that ticket once every blue moon. In hindsight, expecting a team with a new coaching staff, new offense, new defense, a long injury list and a talent-deprived roster to function well in their first game is pushing it. That's why my prediction Friday was that there would be much wailing and gnashing of teeth today.....bingo! Should have played the lotto instead! If I'm going to follow the Bills, I hope for the best, but my expectations are much lower. I said earlier this year, if they give us a couple MEMORABLE wins (plus maybe a few not so memorable wins), I'll be happy. It's a major transition year, there are more holes than can be filled in 1-2 years, and we continue to be snake-bitten with injuries. I'll be happy if the games are close and competitive throughout the year. To expect anything more isn't in me. But I'll continue to hope for a miracle! The "transition" decade of the aughts (2000-2009) will make that Super Bowl win that much sweeter! Hopefully it happens before I die. I've been following them since '68 and am starting to feel and look a little like Ralph.

Hard to argue with that! Speaking of singing, cue the Elton John music: "Biiiitch, Biiitch, the B word is baaaaack....."

I hear ya Thoner, but I much prefer anywhere in the lower bowl to the upper deck. Just seem to feel more part of the action when sitting in the lower bowl - if you are going for the "experience". It's definitely a personal preference thing. If you make it to the game, get there early and walk around the stadium during the game or even warmups to get a feel for different vantage points. Unfortunately, tickets could be expensive and hard to come by - Steelers fans are notorious for traveling in droves and that hurts ticket availability. Enjoy! It's an amazing experience....I've had season tickets since around 1999 and live in Syracuse. Sunday is the best day of the week!

Whoa! It'd be waaaay better than the birth of a child; trust me, I have three girls and once they became teenagers, I was searching for retroactive birth control!
