  1. This is the side of the President job Donahoe does the worst in my opion. Ticketing including ticket office should have been fixed when he got the job but I think they are too concerned about keeping staff.
  2. I talked to several other Bills Backers groups and Eric did very well to get tickets this cheap. Many have been trying for a while and ran into roadblocks. Congratulations on a fine job.
  3. Are you renting a bus or camper for event? Seems a shame to have that many people drive.
  4. I do not think it is a silly worry at all. If we do not make playoffs I am thinking if he gets injured enough to miss end of season it will hurt his market value and that will be good for Bills. I also think the Bills ought to use another back in relief to prevent him from reaching any incentives when games are not in question. He was paid for two years to play for one year and I would not be surprised if Rosenass demanded that he be paid more next year. I certainly will be voting AGAINST him in probowl bid.
  5. It appears to be: I can not afford VIP treatment and was flying out that day to California anyways so I could not go. I know I had a good time last time I went to away game with Jimmy.
  6. Grevey's is OK IF you have a group and a reservation for sometimes Grevey's is standing room only and often tables sit for an hour while waiting for reserved people to show up. I prefer Jimmy's Old Town Tavern myself. http://www.jimmystavern.com/ It is easy IF you live near by a metro station and your location is near a metro station. If you do not if is often a hassle to park if you do not get there early, plus cost of parking, plus sometimes trains are full when you want to go. Buses work but that adds a lot more time to your travel time and heaven forbid if you need to work late and need to wait an hour for a bus. Oh and crosstown commuting does not work for it takes so long to go suburb to suburb. The problem with metro in DC area is they try to have their cake and eat it too - rather than making it so affordable that it takes a lot of traffic off the streets they try to price it 'compatible' to driving yourself if you do not need to pay for expensive DC parking. And if it is 'compatible' and you are not going to give up having a car, why bother?
  7. Maybe he heard that I bought a #68 jersey this year; it is not a genuine one otherwise the words we would be hearing were "Mike has lost a lot of weight - fat AND muscle unfortunately" or "The equipment manager needs to be fired - that jersey is too tight!". Blaming his performance because he has such a high salary cap figure as some have said is wrong. He is paid more because he was an early pick in the draft and all of the players taken in first half of the first round are overpaid; the NFL players union ought to be addressing THAT in next contract talks.
  8. Maybe his contract with his agent Rosenass demands he gets a percentage of every sale and it goes to Miami Dolphins Player Legal Fund! Definitely a rip off - he will be one of those players who will hesitate (my knee is sore!) after open practices.
  9. Seems almost like High school grades. A bit too many grades were inflated. I hate how Fox designs their website hence I reformated it. I also sorted them by grade. http://members.cox.net/billswatch/2005_draftgrades.html
  10. Here is a video of the Cardinals football team: Look at around 1:10 for #23 http://www.cardinalsportspics.citymax.com/f/UofL_vs_UofK.wmv He probably is elsewhere on the video as well. Warning: if you are at work you might want to hit mute button.
  11. http://www.cnnsi.com/football/2005/draft/players/60614.html BIO: Three-year starter awarded All-Conference honors every season since his sophomore campaign. Finished with 72/3/10 as a senior, also averaging 12.7 yards on 35 punt returns. Posted career numbers of 99/11/25 as a sophomore. POSITIVES: Opportunistic, ball-hawking defensive back with excellent cover skills. Intelligent defender who diagnoses the action, immediately locates the pass in the air, then displays outstanding ball skills. Quickly breaks on the throw, possesses a burst of closing speed and works well with cornerbacks. Efficient, takes good angles to the action and fires up the field in run support. Does an exceptional job staying with the action, remaining disciplined and reading the quarterback.s eyes. Gets vertical and adjusts in midair to make the interception or defend the throw. Good special teams player. NEGATIVES: Beaten out by larger receivers. Has difficulty in man-to-man situations. Suffered from a stress fracture in his left foot and unable to perform in the postseason. ANALYSIS: While lacking the true size/speed numbers for any single position in the defensive backfield, Leonhard's productivity and football awareness cannot be overlooked. Known for his work ethic, he is a consistent defender with top intangibles. PROJECTION: Mid Fourth Round Nice article on him returning punts: http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:VnrUJTP...onhard%22&hl=en Tom Donahoe is looking for that special special teams player still
  12. London Fletcher mold with a serial killer mentality and majors in CRIMINAL JUSTICE and got homesick so he gave up a scholarship at a 1-A school because he was homesick. The boy is CONFUSED!
  13. No large pictures I could find Best picture I could find: http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/school...gates100403.jpg http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/school...ion/a-gates.jpg from: http://uoflsports.collegesports.com/sports.../100403aaa.html and other school site pages Seem to be a Willis type of runner who could go into same holes when in for relief as opposed to a change-of-pace back. Player Bio (only lists career until 2003) http://uoflsports.collegesports.com/sports...s_lionel00.html He does have some speed which is good for he will need to play on special teams. Those who want to B word about Donahoe's picks will have plenty of ammo for he did not play as full time back due to decision by coaches to do RB by committee. http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2005/gates_lionel CBS Sportsline stats: http://cbs.sportsline.com/collegefootball/...ayerpage/411194 He played Spring football and I do not know if that is good for us or not; Anybody watch Spring Football?
  14. Picture of him: http://members.cox.net/billswatch2/vanderb...n_geisinger.jpg I hosted it so that Wallers could view it without going to original site first. http://www.nationalchamps.net/2004/sub/pre.../vanderbilt.htm Vanderbilt page on him: http://www.vanderbilt.edu/commodores/footb...nger-justin.htm Pittsburgh type of guy - Fan of Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. Smart too: Member of National Honor Society and high honor roll with a 4.0 GPA.
  15. No DE and WR are on opposite sides of the field. His father being a pro will be able to tell his son, IF HE LISTENS, how to avoid many of the pitfalls of NFL - bad agents, missing camp, keeping focused during offseason, dealing with obnoxious and uninformed fans and sports writers who think they need more than professional NFL personel people. He also can help him teach him how to shed blocks which both DEs and LBs do. Bad analogy.
  16. Picture (Link fixed): http://members.cox.net/billswatch2/wakeforest_eric_king.jpg From Wake Forest page: http://www.nationalchamps.net/2004/sub/pre.../wakeforest.htm
  17. No. The key to poker is being able to not have people being able to call your bluff while at the same time not get caught chipping into a pot you have no business in. Denny Green knows he was not bluffing for he did not take the lesser deal and Travis Henry and his agent know that as well. Donahoe plays it more like Chess than Poker (this is from someone who was once rated a Master in chess and beat a grandmaster once and made his living playing poker in college). He thinks on multiple levels, he does feignts where he threatens a piece to make opponent react, he is willing to sacrafise pawns (Hemry) and rooks (Bledsoe) to obtain a win and he does not try to go with one strategy but a bundle of them keep the strategy close to the vest. He has weaknesses - he really does not know kickers, he can use UDFA better than he can 6th and 7th round picks, he makes decisions and then switching in mid stream giving his impression that his word is not his bond and sometimes it appears he fails to communicate his decisions to those who are already on his 'out' list but his draft 'bluffing' and judging is very, very good. His absolute worst decision was Gregg Williams and I think it was because GW was so prepared it made TD think he was like himself in that manner.
  18. Yes Ruben is overrated and badmouthed by some Bills fans but is still a good guard.
  19. Temperture at 9:42 PM California time - 30 degrees! That is very, very cold for someone whose "heavy" jacket for trip to California would not be suitable for a Buffalo fall! If you want to see the location click on link below and zoom out until you see something you recognize: http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q=16200...+Park,+CA+93222
  20. Easier for people to drive on Saturday, stay overnight and drive home on Sunday WITHOUT taking off next day or needed to go to work tired. The last Sunday night game was against Titans I believe and it was on a Sunday but Monday was a holiday.
  21. Who said anything about alcohol? My liver is putting out too much fatty stuff - maybe I do not drink enough and it is protesting! I am not on medicine yet so no reason to not drink unless you are serving Genesee! And I did not say I CAN'T golf; I said golf is below my interest in shuffleboard. Boring, Boring, Boring. Almost as bad as baseball.
  22. I happen to be in Southern California right now and will be for rest of month. Assuming I am not working is it ok for someone to come who thinks Golf is less exciting than Shuffleboard? Oh and my liver is not doing very good either - Cholestral, produced by the liver, is way too high so I am on a diet and if that does not fix it they will want to prescribe poison (medicine) to try to get it back in line.
  23. Actual AP article which kffl lifted it from. http://apnews.myway.com//article/20050410/D89CI0R00.html P.S. He played for Buffalo for one game Former Raider tied to shooting Police looking for ex-NFL kicker in drive-by incident .... He played one game for the Buffalo Bills in 1998 before disappearing from professional football. .... http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/200...s/24936329.html
  24. Interesting thing is they had same number of TDs - 9.
  25. POOJ, I do not have Disney Timeshares but I have Fairfield. I bought in Orlando and thought it was a good deal at the time. I was told I had first prioroity and if I called the first day I could I would automatically get a room of my type since owners at a resort get first choice. I called several times to make sure I was booked at the earliest possible point and each time I was told I was too early, I called several days in a row before the date to insure that I was going to be first. The exact date I was allowed to book I called right when office opened up and I was told 'booked'. It appears that the rules are different at timeshares if you are a 'regular' owner or one of these 'super' owners are like many of the agents are. They oversell many of the points packages which are low as ways to get people to join and then they keep pushing you to buy more. I have not been able to stay at my resort since I bought my points and have had to stay at other resorts during off periods to get to stay at all. I you buy and I do not recommend you do, buy used; there are plenty of dissatisfied customers for good reasons and you can buy for a lot less. Glenn
