  1. Moorman hit another long punt - no suprise there, he had plenty of practice last year. Looks like he gets nominated for MVP again.
  2. Best bet is fill up at every half tank and pick routes with enough gas stations so you can always miss a few on the way. It will take longer and cost more but you will make it. If you have a truck you can carry gas but do not carry one in a car even in the trunk - people have been known to have fumes overwhelm them even from closed containers. Memphis Jim's pictures from last year: http://members.cox.net/billswatch2/MJ/ Maybe he can stop by this year .... I'll be flying in from California if airline has gas and Northwest strike does not stop flight.
  3. So do we sink Miami odd years and raise it even years? It would give the illegal Cubans free baths every other year.
  4. Gas has gone from $2.66 to $3.49 at the Crown gas station I usually get gas from. They appear to be price gauging since every other gas station is much less. Even the Exxon which is closest to my house and usually most espensive is $3.10, $3.15 and $3.20, before they were $.10 and $.20 apart every day (this proves to me that cost for high octane gas is just mostly hype).
  5. And Joey is NOT on it. Page 6. http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2005/hurricanes/list/page.6.html But Joey did NOT live in New Orleans but one of the western suburbs (Houma) which was less affected by storm. Like the Bills he will be back.
  6. So Tom Donohue, President and CEO of US Chamber of Commerce, will become GM of Bills! Great!! How can you trust the prediction of somone who can not spell (or look up) the GM's name?
  7. No rioting like in soccer games? Not likely. The UK is not as divided ethically and economically as US but they still have their issues. There would be less of it because they are less divided (the US's diversity is its greatest strength and weakness) and because distances are smaller hence less talking heads unconnected to problem.
  8. I agree with Bush: "I think there ought to be zero tolerance of people breaking the law during an emergency such as this - whether it be looting, or price gouging at the gasoline pump, or taking advantage of charitable giving or insurance fraud," Bush said. "And I've made that clear to our attorney general. The citizens ought to be working together." http://apnews.myway.com//article/20050902/D8CBQ1C81.html But will they arrest the looters, the gougers and scammers? Only if they or their companies do not contribute campaign contributions.
  9. Official where? Everything I see is temporarily (maybe just for opener) San Antonio.
  10. Mike Williams has read the Wall and how he is a bust so he is saving every penny ....
  11. I was talking to Joey via IM just before he logged off. He was very nervous about the storm saying his relatives bugged out but got stuck in traffic so he was not able to get out. Good luck Joey.
  12. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=nfl&id=2144658
  13. It is $15 to park at Hammer's Lot (while available) and it is $5 per person for party Hammer's Lot Page: http://members.cox.net/billswatch/Hammer/index.html.
  14. Three gas stations were $2.66 on Sunday evening. Today $2.66, $2.78 and $2.88 (that later is 20 cents in two days) an hour later the $2.66 was $2.70 and I suspect other will raise tomorrow. I only fill every other week but gas prices are out of control but goverment has its head buried into oil sands. Price for gas is going up by higher percentage than in other countries but like medicine I guess we need to just absorb costs.
  15. His FIRST season? All but last year. When Mike showed what he could do (around week 5 or 6) I bought his replica jersey, I could not fit into an actual one.
  16. Storm Image http://orca.rsmas.miami.edu/wximages/jet/1_05/anis.html This is from CajunBillsBacker (Joey) who told me that they are having a first ever in history mandatory evacuation now.
  17. If Matthews was going to be cut they would not have given him Woodbury's snaps unless it was so he could say "Goodbye" to Bears fans since he played for Bears twice. Woodbury did not even get a chance to play QB. From what I read he had a good series.
  18. Yep South. I was thinking of walking North FROM Hammers lot
  19. My guess is Fred Smerlas (since he is currently in broadcasting) and Van Pelt or Burris since both are involved with Bills. My guess regarding "biggest" it is hype - those are some of the "biggest" Bills involved in broadcasting right now.
  20. Hammer's Lot is a large lot on Abbot north of stadium closer to stadium than some of the main lots owned by the Bills. It is the home of TBD's opening tailgate. Hammer's Lot Webpage Glenn - maintainer of the webpage
  21. I do not seem many Flutie lovers but I see a lot of people spending a lot of time being Flutie haters.
  22. And the additional taxes - DC is much more expensive especially if you consider the parking tax (parking tickets for non-parking violations).
  23. Rueben was a whipping boy for fans who exagerated his penalties as part of campaign. Long line of decent players (i.e. Glenn Parker) who like all high priced players was over priced but that is the way the NFL works. Fans continue to discount his abilities even though it was the coaches and fellow players who voted him into Pro Bowl. When the line was decent around him he was great but when line talent faultered he got too much blame.
