1. I do not know if absolutely great #89 is his only hope.... I bought an extra Campy (XL) and if you happen to be going to game at Jimmy's with Northern Virginia Bills Backers I might be able to part with one. Great tailgate, I could actually hear what people are saying. It seemed to me the Danny's dinner did not have as much umph as other years but I got there late being as I just flew in town at 7 PM. Thanks to all of the tailgate crew, it made the long trip from California worth while. I missed any of "surprises" that were usually held by Hammer. Need to especially thank Lancaster Steve for the ride and ribs and of course the T-man for the Jerk Chicken. I have been on a diet for months now and this was one day I could really let myself go and I have been thinking about the Jerk Chicken since April. And this was the first year I have been able to be at the tailgate since the beginning. Oh and for the first time in four years I did not get sunstroke or sunburned; I'll have to lose my ticket next year as well (for those who did not know where I was, I was sitting above you because I did not remember what seat I was in but I was able to do a Bob Lamb and get some shade. One final note - my voice is STILL shot from game. It appeared no one listened to Jimbo when he said to make some noise!
2. I definitely want to see more or her .... I reallly liked the sceme when she confronted a whole group of her. Gives new thoughts to the idea of "Twins". I hate missing Battlestar Galatica while on the road.
3. Look on The Trading Post - mods (Jack and I) pin all tickets for upcoming games. Look for someone who will probably be at tailgate such as Cindy.
4. First of all our defense is NOT that good despite rating. Pittsburgh's backups tore thru Buffalo's defense at HOME during a game which meant everything to Bills and little to Steelers other than fact some of the coaches on both sides coached for other team. Baltimore's in a weaker conference and has a much better chance of getting home field advantage than Bills. Home field advantage is sooo important in getting to Superbowl; even if you do not get it throghout playoffs you NEED to win your conference. And they have a coach which did coach a winning Superbowl team. Losman has thrown 5 passes on a NFL field during a real game. I definitely think that Baltimore has a better chance than Buffalo to geting Superbowl this year despite weakness in QB and most outside observers would say same thing.
5. Exit 57 Hamburg - NY Route 75 http://www.thruway.state.ny.us/travelers/i...nges/index.html And map showing Danny's is correct but webmaster needs to modernize that site. Sorry if a link or two is broken. Here is a good link to Danny's: http://www.google.com/maps?q=danny's&l...0&start=0&hl=en
6. Buffalo 2, Texans 0. Sape scores a safety on Texans' #2 QB. (#1 already knocked out)
7. I'd rather see Tucker on team and playing but I need to have faith Bills no what they are doing. Good luck to him if he plays.
8. Good to hear from you Joey as well as Brian. Have been keeping eye out for news on you. Go Bills! Go Saints (at least this week)
9. I will be coming to tailgate (got some messages asking). Only me this year - My brother Rory is not coming. Flying in from California on NW Saturday night and have no idea what time I'll be there Sunday since I'll probably be bumming a ride from a family member.
10. He had his leg broken by our RB. Shame for Farris but you only get so many chances. Same thing applies to Haddad. Either find a job in AFL / CFL or hope for an injury and to be picked up.
11. Did you notice he predicted NFC Championship but no AFC Championship? Oh and one thing I agree with on King regarding: I also think writers who write for "sham" games (like last of preseason and games when division/byes are wrapped up and starters are resting) ought not to be paid so I think he will not agree with my reasoning.
12. Seven of the players from last cut and one (Rob Lee) from an earlier cut. 2 DBs, a DE from roster last year, a FB, a LB, 2 OL and a TE. No players cut from other teams.
13. Roscoe Parrish has shown less so far than Josh Reed. He shown some stuff in training camp but so did Josh Reed his first year in camp. Josh Reed showed more in 1st season so far since Parrish has not remained healthy enough to play. No way of knowing yet is he is a legitimate #2 WR or even legitimate #3 WR. He could be next year's Josh Reed.
14. Not selfish at all. Many supermarkets do same thing - they collect money and sometimes they package it with some of their own but they always put out press saying that they donated money to such-and-such charity not mentioning it was collected. One local supermarket took full tax deduction for such money even though they did not contribute it all.
15. Sorry BiB but I checked my lists but no Colorado Springs.
16. The one player where I see he was wrong was Christie except he hobbled. He was going to be out a few games so he PUP'ed him trying to get him back cheap. Christie is still kicking and doing better than current kicker.
17. Maybe Krumrie told TD that hed' go back into game if we lost one of our DE's?
18. Bannan played both DE and DT last year, they liked him for his flexibility.
19. Tucker solidified the line when he came in after experiments with other players and played multiple positions well. I know he had offseason back surgery but this really, really surprised me. Maybe he is not able to physically play yet full time so they decided to let him go and bring him back later. From what I have seen and heard it makes no sense.
20. Bannan plays DE as well as DT which provides some depth.
21. Bernie gets the start because he is healthy but like last year I think Tucker will be starting soon. The line became more solid when Tucker came in and if not fot his offseason back surgury I think he would be starting. Maybe like Marcus Price last year the Bills value their swing man more than other teams.
22. For our regular dose of insanity or just plain wet diapers [bs=Frez,Sep 2 2005, 07:51 PM] That's TD's boy,he won't cut him or replace him. That will make TD look foolish. 427444 [/bs] [bs=jarthur31,Sep 2 2005, 09:34 PM] This is another TD ego thing. He doesn't want him or Wire cut. It would reflect badly on him. 427637 [/bs] But not every one has lost it thankfully .... Some writer started the whining and like the Coach DICKerson disciples, the lemmings followed it. Any decision they do not agree with is due to TD's ego - GW was signed due to TD's ego, MM was signed due to TD's ego, player so-and-so was signed because TD signed him in Pittsburgh, etc. It definitely is getting old. I am suprised that pacifier is not worn out yet.
23. Love too but I get in at 6:30 at airport (if I am lucky), beg a ride from R. Rich who should already be at Buffalo Brew Pub, and then need to head to Danny's. Saturday and Sunday until Texans are Toast . Catch up with me at tailgate or we need to do it afterwards or on Monday or another date. I'll be flying in for at one other game, probably two (free airline tickets I need to use this year).
24. Still living in VA just working in CA occasionally. Tailgate is same place: Hammer's Lot People start getting there at 7:30 or so ... Pre-tailgate party is at Danny's (also on page above) I'll be in town Saturday night and heading to Buffalo Brew Pub and Danny's.
