The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
plenzmd1 replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I have never understood this argument. Billionaires are just fine with everything closed down for the most part...sure they may lose half their net worth if we stayed closed to vaccine, but they would prolly still be billionaires. I mean they may to buy a used Gulfstream, but they still aint flying commercial.Even upper middle class folks doing just fine getting their paychecks working from home..and they can for the foreseeable future. But they dont have to risk getting sick in the Amazon warehouse or the Kroger produce section making sure the upper middle class still gets their fresh produce everyday or their new pair of skinny jeans. Low wage earners OTOH can very rarely work from home, are being forced to put themselves in harms way now to make sure the rest of us can eat the same, do the same lawn work, plant the same gardens etc. And if they were laid off, and vast majority of the unemployed is low wage earners...choice is not new or used jet, but food or heat bill this week? The argument of "billionaires " want to go back to work just makes no sense...can you explain the logic to me? I should add...based on the stimulas bills etc, the market does not reflect the economy anymore. The "market" is doing just fine..where the majority of billionaires are participating, and very little "common folk" are ..the economy is in the pooper, where the "common folk " are participating. . -
So you served sandiches on a date ..lordy. You need to be serving filet with your looks? 81 between hagerstown and Roanoke is some of the worst highway in the US i swear. So many trucks use it to avoid 95, hilly, they get side by side some times and just ride like miles. Causes a ton of accidents. Stay off it at all costs as well Yep, have been doing that 22 thing since using waze as well when i head up from DC. BTW Pennsylvanians like @CountryCletus must be the dumbest people in the world...based on the number of porn shops still open on 15, guess they haven't figured out porn is free on the internet.

I did not see that reported anywhere...but having said that, I think, and stress only think, based on the cop saying he thought he was impaired by something other than alcohol, the blood test was mandatory. Maybe someone in Texas or a lawyer could confirm how that works? And if all ya need is for a cop to say i think you are intoxicated with another substance, and they can draw blood based on that, all i can say is s that I am suoper happy i do not live in Texas

My take..Costco is a private company, they have a right to demand a mask, this dude has a right not to wear one and shop elsewhere. Whats I missing? Prolly by a factor of 20-50X according to many studies. Which is a good thing as it means that an overwhelming number of people that contract the virus will not die from it..and that is awesome news all the way around i would think how do you know why she was fired? Please point me to where it states that in the article. She writes an email to her colleagues saying that was the case, , but then refuses comment to the paper. What if she was fired for cause, let's say failing a drug test or embezzlement or a myriad of other reasons, and just wanted to save face. this is 100% accurate in terms of stupid people LOL -

Te be fair, a therapeutic and a vaccine two completely different things. And Gilead has given away over 1.5 million doses or Remisvider...i know, i am a stock holder and not exactly happy with that decsion. i have not seen that anywhere -
OKay, finally found a reference to the "Big Ben" play. Appears it was not named after Ben Williams, but my brother and I loved Ben Williams and prolly just told ourselves that was why they called it Big Ben! AND BTW, youngins back then, we did a shot of Southern Comfort after every Bills TD...along with drinking our 36oz Jumbo beers on a hot September day...and i still remembered this play..even that it was the last play of the first half!!!!!and almost 41 years later! Interesting stuff in this excerpt...Butler signed on the cheap cause he figured Ralph would only spend so much, and Cousinou would get the lions share, so ge signed quick at first sign of a decent offer. Man what a different game with no cap, no draft slotting etc. https://books.google.com/books?id=dq5_vwrBUoEC&pg=PA59&lpg=PA59&dq=bills+jets+1979+jerry+butler&source=bl&ots=Z05VjXMhnt&sig=ACfU3U3RgzcezywPfS7STfWZ5DrjxzQEuQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjDtuykncDpAhWkl3IEHX2eBD4Q6AEwC3oECAkQAQ#v=onepage&q=bills jets 1979 jerry butler&f=false

My daughters school is thinking the same thing. Remember in the Schedule thread, i was saying the NFL should do this exact same thing...

Calling the play " the Big Ben PLay" instead of a Hail Mary...not because of anything in that game, but something to do with Ben Williams. The play I am referring from thjr link above is the Jerry Butler touchdown at the end of the 2nd Qtr...it does not list the time of game there, but I am almostt 100% positive that it was the last play of the first half, it was a "hail Mary" type play...and i think that was first year it was legal..but i may be wrong on that

that's an interesting report for sure. 1) she nor her agency provided a comment..so that's interesting in an of itself 2) she writes an email to colleagues that says she is being removed because she provided transparent access. to all data 3) but then there is this statement in there as well So...like I said, interesting -

well, i can say i clicked first link, saw this headline Gilead Sciences – The Coronavirus Vaccine Manufacturer Accused Of Bioterrorism And , seeing as how Gilaed does not make, and is not trying to create a vaccine, figured rest of article was rubbish... -

RIP Ben. One the great Bills. I need some help here, and either my brain is failing me or the internet is, and we all know the internet never fails. I remember clear as day, at least I think I do, being at the Jet game in 79 , the Jerry Butler 4 TD game. End of first half , Butler scores on what we commonly call a Hail Mary now. Fairly certain it was the first year two offensive players could consecutively touch the ball. We were going nuts And doing shots after that play! Her’s the rub.... I could swear the Bills called it the Big Ben play , and for some reason it was named after Ben Williams. But I can find zero mention of the play or “ Big Ben” anywhere. Any y’all remember this?

So funny. VA Beach knew what was gunna happen. They had lifeguards in every chair , to “ help with boardwalk emergencies “ haha! They emphasized the guards were not there to enforce social distancing rules! MIL lives a block from the beach there, her 73 year old self was firmly planted on the beach this weekend as well! We are off to Nags Head later in the week. Can’t wait. -
a porch dinner? So called cause no way in hell any woman ever agreeing to come in your house?

Dumb choice maybe, illegal no. His dumber choice was mouthing off to the cop...cost him a pretty penny for the lawyer. And no, i am not dismissing "cops made this up" just yet. Prolly less than 1% they did, but until tests and trial etc run their course, it is still a possibility

according to the police , he had a beer opened. And he prolly did, but its not 100% . I have had a friend issued and open container citation for a beer can he was using for a spit cup. He mouthed off to the cop about why he was pulled over, cop wrote him up for open container. Poop happens.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

These trials by Moderna are really positive. Having said that, at best widespread use early 2021 according to everything i have read. Now, they are stating this vaccine may be available in fall on an emergency basis...what that is I have not been able to ascertain. Well, sure looks now like MOderna is way ahead, but i may be making a leap just based on this morning's news. What i did not catch this morning is if Moderna is ramping up production even before approval. -

Not like thse chuckleheads at Gilead, giving away Remisdiverer(sp) .. you know guys like me who have held Gilead fro 6 years were so happy with that news!!!!!
