  1. where ya coming from, where ya going to, and when are you going? Thx for the callout @Seasons1992 God, you have got to get rid of the avatar Seasons!!!!!
  2. to be fair, that is what I thought he said as well.
  3. And I love Fauci response, this is the debate we need. Awesome exchange
  4. Rand Paul is my hero today
  5. would take all day just to clean up my posts!
  6. And on the flip side, those in opostion to him dismissing any numbers that dont agree with their views, or numbers that could help his re-election chances.
  7. My first concert ever, Niagara Falls Convention Center..fall of 77!
  8. We talked about that like 4 weeks ago, super effective to spot outbreaks
  9. Here is where we need the debate...it is not binary...yes, infection and rates of morbidity may go up due to covid What is our best guess at that using actual numbers today, not outdated models. Now, what is out best guess at what happens if we continue on lockdowns..IOW, what are the ramifications of the being in lockdown..job loss which leads to poverty levels spiking, impact on healhcare, starvation levels, despair deaths etc. That is the discussion that is not happening..unless you believe you can be in lockdown like this and have no dowmstream consequences, both in the US and worldwide. Its like saying 30K people in the country die in car accidents each year, lets ban all cars...without taking the consequences that would have on the decsion making
  10. I may have missed that..what did hear on that?
  11. Fauci gunna sink the markets..if i heard him correct, just saidno college in the fall..but i may have heard incorrectly
  12. Sammy Watkins is out there.. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2889029-what-sammy-watkins-believes As always, great interview and article by Ty Dunne.Interesting insight into his time with the Bills etc...
  13. If anyone is seeing this, put on CNBC to Chamath Pailihapitya interview ongoing. Controversial guy for sure, but his interviews are always thought provoking. Not a fan of the Feds actions today..his main thoughts today is we are enterenting hyper deflationary time, where equities will be disconnected from the economy and continue and upward rise...furthering the wealth gap etc. After he is finished, will see if i can get a link from CNBC. From his last interview https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/22/palihapitiya-buybacks-show-growing-strain-of-incompetence-among-ceos.html
  14. yep, way to early to get them to read both sides LOL! Enjoy them while they still like you!?
  15. dont know how old your kids are, but if old enough encourage them to read artickes for themselves , on both sides of the argument, and decide for themselves what may be the correct path of behaviour. I wear a mask when in stores, and have for 3 weeks or so. I have great friends who will not , and i get their reasoning too
  16. funny, I am trying tio teach my children, and always have, to not believe everything they see on TV or read on the Gram or Twitter.I think for the most part we have succeeded. And while I am a never Trumper, he is not quite MAGA, but certainly not where I am on Trump. And i respect the hell out of him for that. He is 19, and i think I was successful in getting him to think for himself and form his own opinions.
  17. and yet the very thing you argue against is embedded in your post. If someone has a different idea than yours , backed by numbers, they just don't get it, or dont care. Interesting how that works Please show me the numbers where the number of sick is spiking..and show that as a percentage of tests, hospitalizations, and ICU usage. I happen to think, based on numbers of positives, number of tests, number and demographics of both hospitalizations and deaths..large gatherings of people, excluding at risk people , is not only possible, but likely if the powers that be use science and numbers instead of talking points and outdated models to make decisions.
  18. sorry for your loss brother, any loss sucks. Lost a great, great friend to cancer today( primary breast cancer), she was 43...it all freaking sucks. But to clarify, higher infection rate..agree. Higher mortality rate???
  19. cmon, he did not..link or it did not happen! (I truly can not believe he asked that) And , can not tell you how many times i have seen this in the last few days as the use of masks has exploded. Having said that, looks like they are outside..cmon people, use common sense.
  20. both? No good angle for my mug. I use chrome on the phone too..those fuggers know every hooker and crack den i have ever been to, this ain't giving em any more insight. Funny, i never sign up to anything with my google account, when doing this whats the point of not?
  21. Funny, had the CBS news on this morning in the background, they showed only a portion of this clip that it sound like FULL lockdown was being continued in the UK..despicable I would fly today..the HEPA filtration systems in planes are awesome..and i was on a flight to Vegas with wife and MIL about 3 days after airports opened up again 9/11. Had something like a 8:30 AM flight, got in line for security at 5:30 AM..still barely made it through on time. BTW, you may remember way back in 04, a specific BA flight between Dulles and Heathrow, and vice versa, kept being cancelled due to security concerns. I needed to get back and forth to London, and i stayed on those figuring what flight(s) would ever be safer? But, on the fiorst on 223 to IAD, hit a massive airpocket over the coast of Ireland, the whole of the plane, including me, figured it ws a bomb and we were goners. Never forget it We are schedule for a euro trip with friends in August, figuring that will not happen, so prolly going the beach way as well. I thought he was a toad before this, but havegrownn to like him in the last 8 weeks.
  22. Just had this done. Rite Aid parking lot in Colonial Heights VA. Had an 11:30 slot, arrived right at 11:30, two lanes for testing, 1 car in front of me in each lane. Confirmed my ID,then wait for tent to open up. The had a six foot folding table( perfect for slamming, but i digress), they stood at one end, sent a plastic tray with a swab and vial in it to car window. Test consisted of opening the swab the swab, inserting in left nostril about halfway up, two full rotations in nostril..then hold there for 15 seconds. Repeat for the right nostril. Seal in vial, put it back in tray, end of test. Was there about 5 minutes, self administered, and was not what i feared which was that thing being shoved halfway down your nasal cavity. Again , I have no inclination i have the virus, but if it takes more testing to get our lives back, i will do it.
  23. @Magox, interesting comparison to Stockholm Syndrome..think you may be correct .
  24. I saw some reporting yesterday that the tome lines reported Der Speigal do not add up, will attempt to find that again and post. Buty do not take this report as gospel. All i can say is i think we all have "confirmation bias" when it comes to media. I have always accepted most media outlets have a left of center lean, that is not a new phenenomum, been that way for over 150 years in this country. We tend to watch/listen to folks who have simiilar leans to our views, and that is always how it will be. But, now that I have an an "opinion" on this virus that is opposite of the left ( for the most part) , it is really frustrating to see only side of the so called facts being presented. Everytime i watch the news, no matter what network..they breathlessly report new cases without an mention on percentage of tests. They never report on states that seeing decreases, only areas seeing increases. They never report on the demographics of the people that are dying. I could go on and on, but on this story it is very easy to see the slant , ney propaganda, the MSM is pushing to promate clicks and inspire fear. I have found it especially frustrating that this conversation is not being had. The concept of the "greater good" has been completely abandoned in this country. One key piece for the nursing deaths, which i believe is still over 50% of deaths..Average stay in a nursing home is 5 1/2 months, in a state run facility, bout 3 months. Stays do not end with someone going home. Maybe i am just getting old too, and accept that death is part of life. That tacking on two months at end of life just doesn't negate all the negative damage being done to our society as a whole. Of course we do eberything we can to protect the most vulnerable that make up a very , very small minority, but not at the expense of putting the vast vast majority at risk of permanant damge
  25. prolly not...Allegiant schedule now does not allow for the cheap direct. Told my nephews the other day, outside of Denver, prolly just gonna try to make everyhome game. Denver I am hoping o turn into ski trip as well..head out Tuesday to the mountains, Denver Friday night, game on Saturday, fly home on Sunday. Bonus is there is a direct Richmond to Denver
