  1. What a game. Went to soccer bar to watch this one. Fun fun fun! Mostly England fans, so I am rooting with the few Croatia fans!
  2. thought it was the line from The Wire" you cannot lose if you do not play the game" Wrong part of town for me..I am in tony NW..that is the hipster Atlas District....nothing but ink and piercing over there!!!! I miss the birthday requirement by 20 years to live there!!!!
  3. saying nothing about the personal side of this story..just the football side. Shady being gone could force our hand a bit to open up the game and truly see what we have on that side of the ball...i see this year as a transition year anyway, so maybe not a bad thing to get to work a year early in a Shady less offense.
  4. uhmm..there is a reason almost everything you do online and really anywhere is opt out..not opt-in. Same reason for mail-in rebates..not a hard thing to figure out.
  5. That would be great for the Sabres.. I agree..I just don't see Sammy agreeing to that..the comparables are just too big
  6. Interesting article looking at the Athletic and The Washington Post and how it correlates with the BN http://awfulannouncing.com/athletic/washington-post-reportedly-considering-online-subscriber-only-model-beating-the-athletic-to-the-d-c-punch.html
  7. The Tunnel is back up and running on for Season 3 on PBS. I believe all 3 seasons are on Amazon. . think it is fantattic.. If season 3 not on Amazon, it is on PBS.com..( I subscribe, not sure if it available for streaming for free)
  8. you aint getting Sammy for a 1-year deal this year..do a 3 year, $5M AAV
  9. Ya know, that spiller TD would have put the Bills up 14, and I was all like “ typical Bills”. All the Pats I go with were just smirking that Pats smirk. But the Bills get the ball to start 2nd half, March down the field get a TD from Donald Jones. And man was I in their face. I was all” see, new Bills team! Mentally tough! then they give up TDS on 6 straight possessions! Man, was that ever a long post game tailgate with my butthole Pats friends.
  10. I stayed the whole freaking game, but was in the head for the streaker ! Only good thing in the game and I missed it! I loved a lot of those games too... damn we had fun at those games. BTW, absolute worst feeling I had at game I attended was first Cowboys Super Bowl in Pasadena. I was sure the Bills were gunna win.. then we get there and the place is just a dump( I know beautiful scenery etc, place is a dump) pain in da balls to get a beer and have a smoke. And the Bills get absolutely destroyed. By far the worst feeling I have ever had after a game
  11. i feel for ya brother..i am sure if you went to Sabres store or wherever you bought them get a full refund if you still have a receipt or even your credit card
  12. I could miss the net like that! and like that too!!!!
  13. you see this @eball ...told ya'll a while back not to be buying any jerseys!!!!
  14. I don't think he ever owned a restuarant..but I may be wrong there. So no debt related to that. That book alone I would have thought would have brought in a minimum of $1M to him And I cant believe CNN was paying him any less than $1M a year to do his show...report said he had a mortgage for $1M, so that's not outrageous by any means. I would have thought minimum $10M ...my only thought is dude had a serious gambling problem. I mean, I doubt he ever paid for a meal or a drink anywhere in the last 15 years.
  15. Clemence Poesy ... stars in a show I really like PBS..The Tunnel.
  16. hmm. Was wondering if the Sabres might have had event he slightest interest in him
  17. Cmon dude, why you take the "irrefutable" away? And also, thought you and KOKO were arguing trade with EVERYONE, not just China. So what are we arguing here? China is still the # 2 economy in the world, with 4x the amount of people. And guess what every 5-year strategic plan for every freaking US based company includes...expanding business in APAC cause there is so much room for growth. Again, trade with China needs to be addressed..but its not cheap goods we need to worry about..(you yourself claimed your love for cheap goods and Walmart just the other day)..it is how do we get to sell our real advantage over China..our services based on our brain power..how do we get THAT to be on an equal playing field. Tell me how a tariff war impacts that!!!! Yall forget that country and regime can live with some real pain..US cannot. And what the hell does surpassing us culturally even mean?
  18. i am not quite sure I understand your point..are you saying trade has caused the US tax revenue to decrease hence the deficit?
  19. These are both very simplistic points of view. Trade is a very complex subject, one I freely admit to not even be close to understanding. I know this though..One must take a look at the overall tariff rates ( i am not even sure that is the correct term) , not individual items. I am fairly certain the tariff on clothes imported into the US can reach close to 20%, tariffs on certain tobacco products are closer to 200%. So Koko78 , you want to start that system, go ahead! Here is the best I can find on overall tariff rates https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/TM.TAX.MRCH.WM.AR.ZS Forget the trade deficit..I can't wait until @joesixpack who just proclaimed his love for Walmart due to low prices, sees his weekly bill at Walmart go up cause everything in Walmart is somehow made cheaper based of that trade deficit. The trade deficit $$$$ means NOTHING. And Trump is missing the fact those guys can wait him/us out like a champ. They will lose the short term battle to win the long-term war. They ain't got elections to win...when their people get put in a year or two or three of economic pain, they will live with and even subsidize it. Although Trump subsidizing pain in his base also scares the poop out of me. The real problem in trade is not with our allies , it is with China..and it is not with the $ value of goods exchanged, it with the theft of IP and the absolutely brutal regulations and processes one deals with to do business there on technology-IP based businesses.. Within the last two years, I have gone through that process of introducing a new SaaS technology..and it was truly unbelievable. Trump is doing ZERO to address that. But i am also torn on these tariffs. I believe it is the beginning of the end of Trump with his base( outside the 1%, they will forever love him for that tax cut). This is gunna hit, and hit hard, where Trump won,. I never want to see people get hurt like that, as I think it is gonna cause real pain in his base. But if that leads to him being out in 2020..maybe its a hurts so good situation.
  20. Nah...something off here. Dude should have been making $3-5M a year last 10 years..no other kids..seem like clean so not going up his nose...something off here.
  21. That is truly shocking...that can't be right, can it?
  22. I think that TV sounds just fine.. I know I would. But I also get those who want the extra
  23. This sounds like a great TV for $600 https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-switch/wp/2018/06/08/this-tv-youve-never-heard-of-is-the-best-tv-deal-weve-ever-seen/?utm_term=.84a7ec3b4c59
