When I was little and Vietnam was raging, I thought Vietnam was a place where you went to have wars, and it was just a big open field with soldiers and tanks..could not conceive of actual villages, towns, people getting bombed I had heard of WW1 and WW2..I just assumed they were fought in/on Vietnam too .

I had daughters friends from college in for their first Bills game (Titans) and they still text me what a great time they had. Met a couple in the bar Sunday night before the Pats game..they could not believe how nice everyone was at the TBD tailgate and how much fun they had in Buffalo..and she was a Pats fan! The text I received from them on Tuesday would make everyone at TBD proud! It is a special lot, and a special place to tailgate ..not just in Buffalo, but anywhere in the NFL And of course, I cannot thank @mead107 enough for not only leading the parking threads but being the glue that keeps these tailgates the best the in the NFL. So many of us really have become such good friends based on these tailgates, and Mead and his lovely wife drive that( talk about a dude outkicking his coverage). Mead makes sure we welcome everyone and make everyone feel at home..hard to describe how awesome all the TBD tailgates are for folks who have never been. Look forward to 2019..and a schedule not with 3 games in 4 in December around Christmas!!!!

been doing what any good person does and cleaning out the clutter today...course my clutter was beers that have been in the fridge a bit too long and I cleared them by pouring them down my gullet! Latest was a large format Boulevard Brett Saison from 2017..absolutely delicious..but the 8.5% starting to hit me a bit.

I am 56 and seldom have cash save for three places..the casino, OTB, and gentlemans club...and seeing how I am in a gentleman's club about once every 3 years..not a biggie! Use a credit card in some form 99% of time..person to person payments all Venmo now..trying to get some of the old farts on this board like @Augie or @ExiledInIllinoisto get Venmo was like pulling teeth. I get $200 out of ATM when i get cash..i would say lasts me about 3 months now on average

Now this one is funny! At this very moment, I am less than 2 blocks away from Obama's DC house...there ain't no 10-foot wall around it , I can promise you that!!! Now, I will say this. Ivanka lives on the same street as me(Kalorama RD), as a matter of fact, I will be running by her house in about 20 minutes. Just those steel crowd control gates around the outside, 2 black secret service Suburbans, and 3 other beat up old cars with secret service ( i assume)in them scattered around the street. Not 100 feet away from her house, is the entrance to Obama's street(Belmont). Jersey wall there, with a cop call and secret service at the entrance..only people getting down that street are residents and folks on a guest list! I have always laughed at that a bit..thinking Trump could not care less if Obama was kidnapped, but would start WW3 if someone took Ivanka.
