I would agree on that for the most part. Ya know, I was very pro tank, and hate to say was not at all upset when Girgs got hurt that year as i thought between him and the goalies might jeopardize our position, he was playing that well. Be great to look at the advanced numbers from that year and see what they looked like on him...and what has happened since..as you say just way to many DZone starts? What else might be affecting him?.

Hiring someone is always a crap shoot..if someone that is respected in the organization can bring your resume to the hiring manager and say hey, Josh Allen here is a good dude, i know him well and worked with him before, and i know he would fit our culture and be an asset here..i highly recommend you talk to him....you think that is somehow the makings of a coward? My point on number two was Marrone said he does not interview coaches based on recommendations from coaches he doesn't like, he didn't like this coach, that's why he fired him( mind you he was on Marrones hand picked staff) , so not Marrones fault he did not interview McVay..it was this dumb ass coaches fault. My only point..just like the subtle way he blamed injuries for his putrid record last year, he always finds an excuse that shifts the blame elsewhere! I think the roster last year was adequate, and should have competed for a playoff spot. as I do this year...and was held back by an inept coach who lost his players and the room and a GM who was scared to fire his first hire...he will learn from that and not wait so long when is so obvious next time. I have never flipped on that position..unlike someone i know!!!

i have never backed away from my take when the deal happened for ROR i was fine with it, still am. He wasn't a fit here, had to go. Happens in sports. I don't view as an unmitigated disaster. You told me last January the Sabres would be fighting for a playoff spot till the bitter end, would pass the Canadians for sure by end of season, the GM had assembled a good young roster, you loved the ROR trade and the coach was not going anywhere....and you want me to trust you now?

Can not guarantee, but my gut is this time of summer is when prices are the highest..everyone making their plans, gettin their airbnb, and they just want to get tickets to get it out of the way. And the folks selling the tickets have no worries on their end they might be stuck with the tickets. Be patient, there are ALWAYS tickets available..to every game!! One PSA, we are looking for tickets to VaTech-Notre Dame, put in a price alert on Stubhub..that was a freaking mistake. First 3 emails i got saying "your tickets to Notre Dame are available" , only to click the link and get"well not your tickets, but tickets are going fast, you may want to by these" and have $300 seats highlighted. I have seen the argument that for a steak some juice escapes in the cutting board and ends up just being wasted, where if you cut right away on your plate, juices are on you plate, you rub the steak in them leke an au jus..no juice wasted that the key no? You can go to Wegamns and get a dry age steak fro $26/lb...but have to have @mead107 money to do that
