  1. Wasn't it *this* year? Seems like he hasn't been here for super long... He's off to terrorize the bb.com board now; makes you wonder who will step into the "ICE" roll next!
  2. So true, I posted about that in the O-line thread. Check the footage here: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlig...ards-highlights
  3. I mean, need I post it? Yes, yes I must... http://darrylthewriter.files.wordpress.com...ichael-vick.jpg
  4. Dude, didn't you read, Maybin is a greedy bastard that's going to reenter the draft just so that he can play for the Pats or Phins just to screw Buffalo over! Enough with your crazy theories Maybin will never play here. Quote it...
  5. "The definition of insanity...is repeating the same actions over and over again and expecting a different outcome" Sort of like continually whining that the Bills suck and thinking that it's going to suddenly make us better? Are the Bills in a perfect situation? No. But other than the Stillers and maybe the Pats who is really? And is sitting here crying about what we don't have going to do any good - no, it's just going to bring you and everyone else down. The team is what it is, try and support them rather than tearing them down... I'm not sure why fans can't just enjoy the Bills for what they are - OUR football team! Yes I hate when they lose and no I don't agree with all of our personell decisions, but I still love the Bills. They still put a smile on my face year-round, because win or lose I've had so many fun, amazing, hazy and happy moments both in front of the TV and at The Ralph! The prognosticators that claim they KNOW this team is going to suck are crazy. The NFL is a wacky league and anything can happen on any given Sunday. Wipe the tears out of your eyes, grab a beer, pass the pipe and try to enjoy what we've got rather than what we don't (because I don't think we *really* know the answer to either of those questions)...
  6. Totally agree - hopefully they'll realize (after the various choke outs) that those D linemen are nasty and are only going to get worse as the season goes on. I'm glad that the guys on the interior of our O line are known for their "nasty football attitide" - they're going to need it this year!
  7. My breakdown of each play... 2nd & 7: - Walker got beat on an inside spin move - Late rush (thanks no huddle) and Levitre, Hang and Woods formed a wall in the middle - Marshawn was a little late to pick up Griffin on the blitz (and added him to the muddle in the middle) - I'll take pitches and catches like that every play; Trent to TO should be really fun this year (at least when there's time to make it happen...) 2nd & 7 (again): - Rusher goes outside around Walker, but a hold saves the day! - Levitre and hang block one guy, till Andy gets tossed and Hang gets pushed back - by the throat! - Wood gets an initial block, then falls (or looks like pulled) down - Bells man gets around him to the inside, but a comb push from Bell and a guy rolling under him makes him fall - Things definitely looked outta synch on that play, but Trent stayed cool and calm, a good sign IMO. 3rd & 3: - Walker's guy tries a terrible spin move right back into his arms - Levitre popped up out of his stance too tall (a common TBD complaint) but held is ground - Hang does a nice job in the middle - Woods guy starts outside, but jumps inside; Wood basically pushes him into Hang, but does get pushed back a little - Bell did a nice job keeping his man away on the outside - Early in the play, Marshawn went outside and the blitzer went inside forcing Trent to scramble (had that guy not gotten through, Trent would have had a couple more seconds for sure) - Nice channeling of Flutie by Trent... 2nd & 9: - Another big hold by Walker keeps his man away (this could be a problem when the refs start seeing it) - Levitre gets the big bull rush, but to his defense the rusher was pushing him back by his freaking facemask! - Hang and Wood take one guy and stone him stoned their guy - Bell almost gets beat to the outside - Not sure if "stepping in" (the big INT theory) would have helped, since Trebt was trying to put that ball in a small space between the three defenders, but that one definitely sailed on him - Chalk it up to whatever, but lets get the mistakes out now Overall it looked like some good and some bad to me. Walker on the left makes me nervous. I think that Levitre will step his game up and learn from his mistakes. I love Wood and think that Hang is an upgrade. Bell shows promise for sure - let's hope they ALL blossom this year! For these guys to have any success though, they've got to play as a unit. Know the assignments and *execute*, please, we deserve it!
  8. Not sure if this has been posted, but here's video of last nights first series "Trent Edwards Highlights": http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlig...ards-highlights Give you a great opportunity to stop, rewind and check out each O-line play as it happens...
  9. This is the second time you've posted your theory that the Bills O line is "the worst in the NFL", based on WHAT? Have you even seen any of the other O lines in the league this year? Didn't think so. At least if you're going to just pull stuff out of thin air, make your position defensible by having at least *some* facts to base it on...
  10. It's streaming live on 97 Rock for those that aren't listening... Is that Carucci? Interesting that he didn't feel the O line was terrible, felt they were at least in sync and that overall it was a sloppy performance (obviously). My take is that it's the first pre-season game, I'm not throwing in the towel just yet!
  11. Almost time - I can't wait for it to get going! Cheers my friends...
  12. I've got some ribs going, a 12'er of High Life in the fridge, the flag up and the new Poz jersey on. Like Cube said, today is a good day...
  13. I actually saw a promo for the game - TO focused of course with him throwing out his famous "get your popcorn ready" line. Don't you worry, TO, don't you worry...
  14. Just picked one up - stoked.
  15. Seems a little crazy - ground shipping is $15 o_O
  16. T.O. and D Whit in the jerseys: http://twitpic.com/c7efn Great pic!
  17. The unveiling is supposed to be on live on BBcom: http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/live-video.html
  18. John, you nailed it! In fact there was a quote from Lee somewhere where he said something along the lines of "I don't care how many balls I'm catching, as long as we're winning!". Like you said, the guy is humble and pure class - I'm proud he's a Buffalo Bill!
  19. People keep clammoring for it and Brandon is a pretty savy marketer - I woudn't be surprised to see it happen in the next couple years!' Keep North America's Team classy and bring back the throwbacks!! And I totally agree about that helmet - I have a replica in my living room...
  20. They're launching the new throwbacks tonight! Just got this on the twittering machine: "Buffalo Bills to feature 50th season celebration and throwback jersey launch tonight. Follow our tweets all day for updates." I'm going for a Poz white throwback and maybe a Marshawn blue throwback, though I too often have a hard time wearing anything by my Thurman jersey on gamedays!
  21. He just tweeted: "The atmosphere at Skins camp is amazingly calm and subdued for first day of TC. No buzz. Polar opposite of Bills camp." That can only be a good thing for us - keep the energy up and get the fellas hyped for the season... Tucker also just wrote "Skins players standing under portable shade tents on the field in between reps. Never seen anything like it." And people call our camp soft.
  22. Dion approached is as "who would I not want to defend". Came down to TO and Chad for him. Said Chad runs routes better, but TO gets the attention... Falk took Plaxico touting his height - he can jump for high catches; by the end of his ramble he compared Burris to Michael Jordan - Falk is an idiot. Mariucci took T.O. citing his respect for him. Even though things were bad, TO came and shook Mooches hand. You know what you're getting with TO - he's solid. If he's on my team I know they had better double-team him, I know your run game is going to be better. Mike Lombardi took TO, saying it's not even a hard choice. Eisen kept pushing on WHY TO was released from Dallas; if he's such a diva, is he worth the trouble. Lombardi said it was choice they made since they have Roy Williams on the roster. Interesting question to consider. I'm still a little amazed that we have a guy that is considered one of the best receivers in the league on our squad. It's gonna be a fun year to watch...
