  1. Welcome back Jimmy Spags... ya dirty bum!
  2. What a great idea for a thread, Boyst. I'm looking forward to reading what people have to say. For me, I've been a coming here since day one, and was a member of whatever website preceded TBD. Can someone remind me about the the message board before this one? Was it on a local newspaper site? I only remember that it was early internet days, and I was psyched to be able to get up to date info and talk to fellow Bills fans, while living in Broncos territory. Before that, I had to rely on the SHOUT! newspaper to arrive each week.) Anyway, I signed up in the late 90's. Back then, I was newly married and living in Colorado. (Born and raised in Rochester and moved to CO in 1990) Since then... Son born Moved family to Washington State Daughter born Moved family to New Zealand. It's been over 17 years since we moved to NZ and both of the kids have now grown and moved out. (Daughter in Uni.) The wife and I are loving this latest stage of our lives, which we refer to as "Empty Nestin' ". When I think back to my Colorado days, it feels like it was another life ago. So much has happened since then... births, deaths and other major life events, including the challenges of being an immigrant to a new land. Throughout all of the years and all of the events, there have been only a couple constants. One, thankfully being Mrs Bad Things... another being TBD. I honestly have no idea why/how this place can hold such a sway over me. (Especially during some of the really bad drought years.) Just about every damn day, I have to at least log in to see what's going on over here. That said, thank you SDS and all of the moderators for everything you've done through the decades. You've help me waste countless "productive" hours of my life. (Oh, to think of what I could've become, if TBD never came into my life...) Let's go Buffalo!!!
  3. These sort of opinions aren't allowed here? Courage?? Good grief.
  4. FFS, there are some miserable people on this board.
  5. Um... what is that supposed to be?
  6. Just the other night, my wife and I had this same chat. That said, Mrs Bad Things and I both see Seinfeld as timeless. I've watched it so many times, and it still makes me laugh out loud. None of the other "classic" sitcoms can do that for me.
  7. I'd much rather have the attitude that we're the underdogs and not the chosen ones.
  8. I agree 100%. His show was trash.
  9. That is really sad to hear. I've enjoyed his music since I was a little kid. Rest in Peace.
  10. A quick and easy way to peel the skins off of garlic cloves is to simply put the cloves in a glass jar and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. The skin will completely come off of the garlic.
  11. A great signing. A no-brainer really. Yeah, AJ isn't Hall of Fame material, but he has substituted in nicely for Edmunds when we was out. In fact, I'd go so far in saying that he outperformed Edmunds in a number of games.
  12. What the hell? I come home from a weeklong backpacking trip in Fiordland and this is what I find on TSW? Discussions on Josh and his girlfriend and Derek Jeter being hot? FFS, last year when I finished my annual trip, we were talking about Von Miller! The draft cannot come soon enough!
  13. Jeezus Bubba... no, we don't take things too literally. We simply read what you wrote and corrected you because it was wrong. The Aaron Rogers/Jets/Packers soap opera is more complicated than what you said.
  14. How can he sign with the Jests if he's still a Packer?
  15. There are some really good saying down here in NZ. Here's a couple... "He couldn’t organize a piss-up in a brewery.” Translation: He is unable to accomplish a simple task. "He was as pissed as a fart." Translation: He was really drunk. "No worries. She'll be right." Translation: Everything is going to be OK. A popular bathroom stall graffiti saying from my Colorado days was... "Here I sit, a'sweatin' and a'flexin', about to give birth to another Texan."
  16. I've heard that "Free Bird" was actually about a time when Ronnie Zan Vant won a frozen turkey at a thanksgiving raffle.
  17. Really good to have him back! They just need to teach him to not wave his arms around so much, to get the crowd pumped up! (He's had enough shoulder surgeries as it is!)
  18. Multiple Allens? There is only one Allen!
  19. I hear ya, but that's also what I was thinking last year. And then they signed Von Miller.
  20. Man, I was so excited and had such high expectations when we drafted him. I always hoped that "the next game" he would surprise me and play with more instinct, but that never materialized. He was a very frustrating player to watch all these years. Kinda like a really big kid that didn't know how big he was, which showed through on how hesitant he was in his tackling. In the end, I'm relieved he's gone. Oh... and Matt Milano is 10 times the player Edmunds is.
