  1. Huh? I think some of us have been supporting Sully's honesty for some time....
  2. Are you kidding? The man is a collage coach at a decend mid-major school...and you think he would make a decent candidate the run the Bills? Russ Brandon - is that you trying to sell excitement and tickets again? If they ever tried a move like this, I would have Ralph sent in for a test of faculties as he would officially have lost it....
  3. So many....but, I am going to stick with this opinion held since last April - God's honest truth - in my opnion - taking Aaron Maybin when we did with all of the needs we had....There were some real players on the board when we took him, but Maybin...a classic tweaner type at a place where we should be taking a solid 10 year pro...WTF? I know, way too soon to determone this....but mark my words, he will NEVER live up to the billing of a player taken where he was and we will watch in admiration and contempt the many players we passed on have nice careers...I spit on you Modrak!
  4. The main reason I guess is the cumulative inferiority complex of the fans and people of WNY - allowing the old man to have a stranglehold on them and force them to accept anything he gives them...as long as he doesn't take his team elsewhere. Let's face it - Bills fans, primarily those that continue to file into RWS are like a beaten wife that takes the abuse and does noting about it as they feel fortunate to have a hubby that comes home at night.... If anything, I hope the fans in Cleveland have somewhat empowered the people in WNY to take some action....It's got to start somewhere....
  5. It's been what....10 already? At best, 3 more years if they hire some proven football people...but in reality, I see no reason to expect them to return until there is drastic and meaningful change....in other words...not in the foreseeable future....
  6. Are we really any better? In fact, I would argue they are better off as their owner has the courage to make a change when somehting is deemed unacceptable...
  7. Wow - Pass-the-pipe had been calling for this since last year....Saying the same thing as you.
  8. I would imagine the organization would consider you as non-renewing and make your seats available...whereupon folks will gladly improve their position in the stadium and take your seats. You all game for this? I say go for it as I do not have seasons, nor would I purchase them until a serious change is made at the very top....
  9. Well said - on Sullivan and WNY.
  10. I think what makes him a great columnist is that he does put it in writing for the world to see. How many of you in the parking lot or us on the board would walk into Ralphh's office to tell him honestly his problems? Not many - he does it multiple times a week - writes the truth, then walks into thelocker room and pressers. trust me - easier said than done. His job is to sell papers and I think he is good at it.
  11. And that's what makes him a great columnest....
  12. Yeah!!! All of our problems are solved now!
  13. If you're going to rebuild - why not trade if you can get something? In the case of Lynch though, I would agree to hold him. RB's hold little value unless they are of the all-world type. Lynch is a good workhorse, but I doubt he would fetch even a 3rd rounder before the draft.
  14. Firing the coach Monkey...firing the coach.
  15. - You were not wrong, some folks are just a little slow to get the message. Case in point - Why do you think they are hanging on to Coach DJ? Playcalling? Save money? Contract with Foster Grant? Nope - it is a more effective marketing tool to do this in the off-season - excite the fans and give them hope. With hope comes ticket sales!!! The model is very clear with this team - moves are made to sell seats, not put "W's" on the board...
  16. Whew - Amen brother. I rememeber a couple of years ago when we dodged the Ngata bullet and had Whitner fall in our lap....I don't know how much longer our luck will last....
  17. Stop it....Ralph doesn't care anymore and people will not do anything to jeapardize the status of this team in WNY. You want to hit him - stop going....stop parking in his lots....stop buying anything. But in the end - remember he holds the franchise over you like the Sword of Damocles...
  18. Someone just plant a blundt in the ashtray...we'll get rid of him quick....
  19. Wow - this was a who cares post until you gave your thoughts on the picks...With the exception of the Clements and Shobel years - the Bills sucked as bad as you possibly could. No arguments - bad - missed obvious selections. Whomever pointed to Ralphs kid was probably right, but I still see our futility and head scratching choices when I would think 1/2 the people on this board would have fared better....
  20. You are right...I used to get angry, which I guess reflects I still cared about the team. At this point, I still follow, but I feel no excitement for them any longer. I enjoy good football and find myself watching other games for the sheer competition of it. It took me about 5 years to get here, but now that I am hear, I wonder if I ever will return to really caring about them as a team... Sad part is - if they leave WNY, it would be sad, but I can assure, I would only wacth or read about them as a curiosity, not as my team.
  21. So without a bye - you feel compelled to waste you time watching this worthless product? Record the game and enjoy life. Get around to watching it when you have the time. The organization is simply not worth building a schedule around any more....
  22. Mystic....I think that is in Connecticut.....right?
  23. I am sure he has millions of reasons....$$$
  24. A good honest response. I like the fact you have zero expections for victory. I am tired of these true believers who keep thinking the team is better than they really are. Enjoy your tailgates...
