  1. Dwight was awesome....I would take him back in a minute. I sat next to him at a game in Charlotte some 10-12 years ago - the man's mans left pinky had more football knowledge than the whole of the members of this board....
  2. He is a true football guy...that is a good thing.
  3. Don't forget, we passed on the following as well, Bryant McKinney (OT), Holati Ngata (DT), Brian Cushing (LB)...all areas of current need for us.
  4. Nope - once tied to WNY...always tied to WNY....
  5. Looks like they will annouce they are hiring Harbough from Standford for the opening.... As an alumnus, I love the fact he is staying at UB, but I cannot understand why a major program would pass on Gill. Seems to be an excellent coach, solid recruiter and brings a nice presence to a program. Oh well - hopefully we get another year or two of him at UB - I look forward to those games in Tuesday night TV....
  6. I remember him coming out - excellent collage player - argued the best since Rubin Brown played for Pitt. Started as a rookie in Dallas - then shockingly cut by them the next year....
  7. Are you f-ing kidding???? Wait, the west side could use some picking up I guess...capital idea...capital....
  8. It's the first domino my friend. Nobody freaked when Hitler rearmed a disarmed Germany...nobody thought much when he amassed troops at the boarder....so, he steamrolled Poland - no big deal....the rest was history. Those who do not learn from it are doomed to repeat it. I know this is nothing this like rise of the third reich, but revolutionary change starts under the radar. The undercurrent you need to pay attention to is the league is slowly being handed over to the power owners...
  9. If this is true - barring ownership sympathetic to the area, the team is done in WNY....
  10. I believe Singletary is doing an admirable job with the talent he has. Next year - they are in the playoff hunt....
  11. Back in the league my friend...back in New Orleans - 29 tackles and 3 sacks as a situational player....
  12. - Complete waste of a roster spot. If only we had kept Hargrove instead....
  13. This is where I disagree. A very wise caoch was once quoted as saying the key to his success was his ability to tell the difference between a donkey and a race horse...Maybin is no race horse, it is clearly evident - we do not need any more film to clarify this. He is not nearly and never will be stout enough to stand up against the run - no center of gravity on that bean pole body. Take the lack of sacks out of the picture - he is so raw, our coaching staff barely uses him ahead of...Kris Kelsey? One day, he may mature and learn enough technique to be a serviceable OLB or rushing end in this league, but as the 11th pick - a wasteful bust, just like Whitner....just like Lynch. Serviceable and parhaps will have a career, but for where we took them - bad moves.
  14. I really thought, if we needed a RB, Lynch would suffice, but seeing him outsplayed by Jackson was eye opening. So, let's say we let him walk when his contract is up....if that happens, Marv's reign as GM should go down as the worst in the history of this team....
  15. Man - that's a butter face and a half....
  16. Not at DE....
  17. You think - seriously, I think he is almost too lean for a LB too. He is build closer to Terrel Owens or Andre Johnson....long and lean - last time I saw a neck like his, it was coming out of the chest cavity of our Thanksgiving turkey....
  18. If they got "dissed" because of what they had said about Edwards....I have no problem with it...you have to stand up for your current teammates - regardless if they are sh-tty or not....
  19. Actually showed up on the stat sheet with a tackle!!! I know today is a feel good day, but when we come back to earth, can we finally admit - he has about as good a chance as Steve Tasket to make it as a DE in the NFL. I watched him several times - stuffed, run off the scene, thrown down...bust...busting...busted.
  20. Explain this piece - why would this bother you?
  21. See.....this is why this team will never improve!!! (just kidding - enjoy)
  22. I don't think must of us need Sully to tell us this - The Bills will most likely end up with a second tier type coach...Let's hope for the best....
  23. Are they really that bad off? I think the watered down league will let a well coached team compete for a spot almost immediately. Hell, let at how much this oft injured, poorly coached and undermanned team has achieved......
  24. I think most players do - I think Lloyds is the standard here. With the rash of injuries, I wonder if the premiums for a player with the Bills will increase? I know most injuries are unfortunate circumstances, but I wonder if an underwriter factors the number of injuries to a typical organization and rolls this in to premium costs....
