Leslie Frazer "blew away" Nix in interview.
Kipers Hair replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
- This is how Greg Williams beat out John Fox and Marvin Lewis right? -
But, I thought Marv only picked guys of high moral character. This guy is a ghetto scumbag who will be out of the NFL in another year of two. Immensely talented, but a thug who will find himself dead or in jail before he hits 40. If I were Nix, I would bring in a decent free agent RB and let Lynch go for a conditional pick....

You know....I forwarded this thought as well....I think Buffallo is off of map for the Cowher family as his wife simlpy will not go there...

Wilson updates AP on Bills coaching search
Kipers Hair replied to Delete This Account's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have been saying this since Jouron got the hook. The "talk" and rumors you are hearing are only a thinly vailed smokescreen in an effort to show BIll's fans out there that the Organization is really coming to play...willing to pay "anything". Has everyone already fogotten that we just settled on our GM? This organizaiton is bullsh-t and everyone should call them on it. As the pipe to clearly advised, get ready to grab your ankles - here comes the tier coach wrapped in a shroud of celebration...enjoy. -
-
The timing of it makes no sense. Agreed house cleaning was in order, but unless you have something in place to move forward with the team, you wait....
-
since the coaches were under contract, wouldn't you wait to see if your new HC had any interest in keeping them? Let's say we hire Frazier and Frazier really wants April as his Special teams guy...so we pay out the past contract and give him a new one???

Absolutely correct.

Pipe - Welcome back. Glad to see the disturding bahavior at OBD has driven you to posting again. Frankly, your post is spot on, some folks here know it to be true, but most have their favorite stein filled to the brim with RW Koolaid. Prepare for this in the coming weeks; "insert name here was simply the best candidate for the position. As you know, we talked to Cower, Shannon, ETAL, however, after speaking with insert name here, the choice was obvious"... Next comes rage on the part of this board....to which the team will try to make some big splash in free agency and announce that something is in place getting Jim Kelly actively involved as a part of the origanizaiton to (1) settle everyone down and (2) sell tickets. I am sorry, unlike most of the sheep here, while Kelly was a great player, he can do little for the team in his current capacity as an ex-NFL'er. As you point out, perhaps the proper fate for this team and the cumulative psyche of WNY would be for them to leave and end this charade....

Leslie Frazier, Tampa 2, and Run Defense
Kipers Hair replied to silvermike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tampa 2 is great with guys like the Williams' in Minn and Sapp and McFarland in Tampa manning the middle of your D-Line....With the high motor guys we seem to have a passion for at OBD - not so much. -

Stadium group in L.A. targeting Jags, Bills

LOS ANGELES (AP)—The company behind a plan to lure the NFL back to Los Angeles says the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills are the first teams it will try to relocate. Majestic Realty Co. managing partner John Semcken said Tuesday the teams are among at least seven franchises the company is considering for a new stadium just east of Los Angeles. Semcken says the Jaguars and the Bills are at the top of the list because they play in small markets that tamp down their earning potential and because they have little hope of finding larger venues in their home regions. - I guess they're just kidding right? -

Like tracking flights into WNY on-line to see who might be interviewing....the insanity around here knows no limits..... -
The best way of finding out who is coming to Buffalo?

Have all you people lost your minds???? You are willing to track flights to see who is coming to town? -
unsubstantiated rumors thread: COWER TO BUFFALO!!
Kipers Hair replied to BillsBacker5545's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is all hooey - I have recieved confirmation that Brian Billick will be named the Bills HC shortly. He is all but done assembling his staff. I would rather have Cower, but Billick is unquestionably an upgrade. -
As I understand it from a highly reliable sourse, the Bills will name BIllick their new coach shortly. He has all but wrapped up his staff....I know it is all rumor, but this source is trust worthy....

But, but, but - the entire NFL is supposed to let them take Tebow - who will desend upon the city of Jacksonville and save the franchise.... -

Change the last two weeks of the season to divisional games and modify the draft (by record until you hit playoff teams) to a "ping pong" ball lottery, incenting playoff teams will better records to up the probablility for a better selection in the coming draft. The divisional games might imply playoffs on the line and fuel the game because of rivalries and the better the draft selection = better player or more fuel to trade. Other than that - what can you do? -
GET USED TO ......BIG DISAPPOINTMENT
Kipers Hair replied to bills in va's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In my euphoria over the beheading of the entire staff, I forgot that we still have the same problem at the top of the chain...alas, you are probably right and we will be sold a bill of goods that is nowhere near as good as they will have us believe. Thank you for the wake up call. -
Up Coming Buffalo Free Agents
Kipers Hair replied to tecmobowlbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of the list - I think we would miss Simmons, Scott and Reed. of the three, believe it or not, I think Reed will go somewhere and do very well for himself. Let's face it, during his time with the Bills, he has had no passing game to speak of...(throw out the first two years as he was a newbe...). Anyway, throw him out there with Tennessee or New England (2 possible landing spots) and he is a welcome addition.... -
How is this possible?
Kipers Hair replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know - I am guilty of beating this dead horse, but I am curious, in a meaningless game, was he on the field much? It struck me last night watching the Jet's game - Vernon Gholston, Maybin appears as out of place as him....both reaches from the Big 10 who just plain suck. for the year, Gholston had 17 tackles in 14 games...about what Maybin achieved I think.... -

Sever the contract to pay them out...just to give them another contract??? I seriously hope there is better thinking behind this than your supposition.... -
Bills' decision to hire Nix draws criticism
Kipers Hair replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is the criteria for this honor? I know little of Nix other than he was scouting for us...and well, unless his advice fell on deaf ears, he has not set the world on fire has he? I think there is a lot to like about him, I just wish they would have talked to some more people before jumping on the internal guy. Hopefully he exceeds everyone's wildest imaginations and makes us a competative team...and soon.
