What song rocks u the hardest?
nodnarb replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Toooozday! Great pick with 'Sugarcube'...great tune....some would probably consider it a bit muddy, and as much as I love it I couldn't ascribe any superlatives...but still...nice choice! That album is just great...I like Deeper into Movies. that being said...odd thread topic. what "rocks me the most"? -

there is a reason Modrak is still in Buffalo..
nodnarb replied to bluenews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you one of the dumbest people around, or do you just seem like it? When McGee was a rookie, he started as the #4 corner behind KT. Why? BECAUSE KT had *experience at nickel*, you stupid fug. McGee never played nickel in his life, and it's a VERY different position. In spite of that, McGee eventually became our nickel CB late in the season. This year, he was our starting nickel right out of camp...until the injury to Vincent happened. Why did they sign Vincent? Because he's as saavy and experienced as they come, and the Bills needed more of that in their secondary. Two, you MUST have good depth at that position. Three, McGee was not a PROVEN #2 yet. He had grown up in the Bills as a nickel cornerback. Have I dumbed it all down for you well enough? Need I simplify it more? -

bluenews, you're full of schitt. you don't know which scout wanted who and which didn't. Don't presume to have such inside knowledge, we know you're just another web forum hack like the rest of us. the fact of the matter is that modrak is one of the best personnel men in the NFL and he's widely regarded as such. Modrak wasn't the guy who brought in Bledsoe, it was Donahoe. And for half a season it looked like a stroke of genius, before he hit his wall. Even still, the bills DIDN"T HAVE a QB at that time. We needed credibility at that position immediately and bledsoe was the right move then, just as releasing him is the right move now. and McGee was a GEM in the 4th round FOUND BY AND ENDORSED BY MODRAK! This is a known fact - he has described the process before in interviews and when he talked about McGee he was really high on him. You don't know Jack Schitt, so just quit whining to yourself about what you think you know. -

That's the whole point. He has themes that he repeats because these themes are repeated in games every week. THere are a dozen running gags. He's the best football writer out there. And the funniest.

there isn't anyone here or in the football world that is saying that Drew isn't a good guy. If there's anyone that I could snap my fingers and magically make them wildly successful, it's Drew. But Drew hit his wall two years ago. The Bills are insane if they pay him to hit his wall a third time. It's over, it's over, it's over.

neonatal foreskins.... AWESOME BAND NAME, DUDE!

cardinals have fans? interesting.

Think Denny Green would go for that? Boldin isn't one of "his guys", so you never know...that would give us a pretty damn good WR corp, and allow us to perhaps move Josh Reed to his former coach, Saban.
-
that would absolutely fuggin suck, and it would be yet another notch for the afc east being the best and toughest div in football. but i don't believe there's much of a personality mesh between modrak and saban.

Coudl Gregg Williams Be the Next Belichick?
nodnarb replied to JDG's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What a sophomoric post. It's a silly argument that comes off as an unwillingness to admit to a cold, hard reality. First of all, your premise assumes that to be truly great, you must have started in greatness and continued onward. It assumes that humble beginnings are not possible. It assumes that progress and learning is not how achievement is ultimately made. The opposite is true. In a nutshell, yours is a poorly thought-out concept that if applied to other avenues of achievement, would negate all our heroes in the arts, literature, film, wartime, and technology. Belichick started out breaking down film with his dad at the age of 10. He was an assistant coach in many places before settling in as parcells' defensive coordinator, where he ALWAYS excelled. ALWAYS had a top not D. Schooled Marv Levy and the Bills in 1991 using the same principles that he beat Manning and the Colts Sunday. Over time, he has BECOME the best football mind in all of football. Great people BECOME great through learning and experience. Belichick is going to win another superbowl this year. Yet people like you will still deny that he's the greatest football mind of our time. He has overcome more *while achieving more* than a coach than ANY coach has in our time. It sucks to be a non-patriot in AFC East land, because he's not going anywhere and the AFC East will always going to be the hardest road to the playoffs as long as he's there. Get used to it. Gregg Williams? Please...don't debase your own intelligence with such dreck. -
If Moulds restructures and DB gets cut

I'd rather have jennings than any FA LT on the market. Maybe walter jones, but he'd be about 30% more expensive, easily. -

JP Era, if you think Mike Vick and the falcons can beat the patriots, you're either not paying attention or you don't recognize a cut above when you see it. Name your bet. -
And people don't think this is a Dynasty?
nodnarb replied to buffalo mike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this absolutely IS a dynasty, and anyone that still doesn't admit it doesn't understand football. How good is Belichick? He just used two first-year UFAs, two street free agents, and a 30 year old WR to COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN the most PROLIFIC PASSING OFFENSE IN NFL HISTORY. Go ahead, pull your head out of the sand. -
So was Bledsoe REALLY the problem?
nodnarb replied to MadBuffaloDisease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yes, enough questions about bledsoe. we already know the answer because the answer is written all over his career stats. Go look at his most vital stats from this season, completion %, TD-INT ratio, and rating. It wasn't good enough this season. Now compare it to his career average. The difference is statistically insignificant. He's an average quarterback who has hit the wall and he's still riding out the fumes of being the blue chip pedigree that is the first overall pick in any draft. He's done, and if he's the bills starter next year, don't expect much. Cuz the bills won't go far. That being said, I really like the guy. -

Fools abound. The Patriots are going to win again, and they'll make a mockery of each team in the process. -
If you STILL don't accept Bill Belichick as the best analyst and strategist in football today, your head is in the sand. Even when a colts WR DID drop a ball, there was a DB right on him to make the hit or make the catch difficult. It wasn't Earthwind Fuggin Moreland, Randal Fuggin Gay, Troy Fuggin Brown and Hank Fuggin Poteat that shut down the NFL's most prolific passing offense of ALL TIME. It was Belichick, who has studied the colts and has the unique eye to read all of their offensive concepts and exploit them. You wanna tell me that those 3 stud receivers couldn't get open? Why? Because Belichick knew every one of their tendencies, pre snap, according to alignment and their statistics. He simplifies and boils down these concepts for each player and communicates them personally. He tells each player what 3 things they can do to help the team win, be it "if you see Edgerrin in this formation, don't ever think he's staying in to block", or "Rian Diem doesn't like *this*. Do *this* early and often, and you'll get in his head", and so on. These little items are on TOP of his overarching strategy and scheme. He's the best in football, and if he wins the SB again this year, which i believe he will (despite not having Seymore, which so many people made a big deal about, and his two best DBs) then he will be the best football strategist of all time. Do yourself a favor and stop denying it. It will save you from the pain of crow eating in the end. Belichick is the best, and as long as he's there, the Bills are going to have a tough time ever getting to the SB. That being said, I think Tony Dungy is soft. Nice guy, soft coach.

can someone tell me exactly what mort said
nodnarb replied to nodnarb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
anyone anyone -
you poor poor man, air bledsoe. you, like drew himself, refuse to admit that he hit the wall in late 2002. in 2003 he backed up and hit it again. This year, he backed up and hit it yet again. Bledsoe will never win a playoff game for the remainder of his career, and i'll take any bet anyone wants to make. but hey...i like the guy and wish him well.
