  1. from 2001-2003, we were at the bottom of the league in that category. Every fuggin year i think. So strange. Feast or famine. There's no one thing you can pinpoint, either. Just the nature of the game?
  2. why would we want corey simon? i think he's overrated. the eagles couldn't stop the run all year. i'll take pat over simon any day. and he's half the price.
  3. that's actually not the case. Because 100% is relative. There are QBs in this league, like pennington and brady, who devote a crazy amount of their time to film study and practice. drew doesn't do that. he puts his required time in, does a little extra, and devotes the majority of his time to his family, which from his angle is more important. as a QB, he doesn't have the same priorities. I can't criticize him for that, because his family should be important, but i think i'd rather have a guy who's a complete QB geek than a family man.
  4. yes, jonas is that good. look up his stats, and compare them to the best in the game. he's right with them. his only drawback has been nagging injuries. When was the last time someone beat Jonas around the edge? The rush has come from the LT/LG gap when Jonas is stretched outside. He's that good.
  5. dwag, i'll make any bet with you. there will be no noticeable drop-off from the loss of their coaches. why? cuz belichick is the brains behind that operation. he sets up the pins and his assistants merely knock them down.
  6. who the hell cares? willis in the pro bowl can only bring bad news. bad news like a gratuitous injury or a met incentive that would make him more expensive. It's in the Bills interest that NO BILLS MAKE THE PRO BOWL. It's a joke of a system, a joke of a game, and it won't last long in its current form.
  7. Milloy's attitude sucks, and he's making it clear why belichick let him walk. He's not worth his salary and his attitude flat blows. I hope we trade him to Dallas.
  8. milloy is overrated and he's selfish. that's why belichick cut him. donahoe should never again pick up a belichick cast off. if milloy doesn't realize that belichick's system isn't the best system you can employ to create a winning team, he's just a bitter man spouting sour grapes. package milloy and bledsoe to dallas. send them back to parcells from whence they came. I'd do it for their 2nd round pick.
  9. looks to me like the great rusty jones is in chicago. Any idea why? What's the word? Looks like a lateral move. Big bummer. Our guys were always in great shape under Rusty. The Bills have been healthy relative to other teams. Damn. No Drew news? What about that 2 week window TD mentioned? Hmm. Anything else worth mentioning? Don't make me look through 10 pages of posts, now....
  10. The Pats won't miss a beat. Betcha.
  11. he'd be great at #55, but we'd have to get lucky.
  12. dynasty. and next year they'll be even better. belichick has done with the patriots what tiger woods did on the pga tour. he's raised the level of excellence so high that teams will have no chance unless they find a way to reach his ability to break down a team and expose its weaknesses. He's also one of the very best at evaluating players. He knows which players do specific things the best in a class of hundreds. He looks for players that do X or Y really well and puts them in a position where that strength is maximized. The guy is amazing, and we'd better get used to the pain of life in the AFC East. It's only going to get tougher with Saban there. He and Belichick are close and talk weekly about football, common opponents, strategy, etc. Can Mularkey and Wyche and Clements compete with Belichick's chessmaster brilliance? I don't know. I hope so. I wouldn't bet on it.
  13. no way. to be a hall of famer, you have to win the big games. several of them over a period of years. no chance.
  14. One, I'm just thinking out loud. Secondly, Why? Easy. We sign him first, before they have a chance to talk to him. So they wait until the draft. Why trade him? It's a free draft pick, since we didn't use one to aquire him. And Price is a good backup with no upside. He's solid but not special. With the moves we will make, he'll be expendable for equal to better players with more athleticism and upside.
  15. Offseason dreaming and theorizing and whatnot. Here's what I'd like to see happen. At least now, anyway. This draft is said to be a 6/10 to last years' 10, but I don't buy it. It's too bad this is such a horrid draft for TE and C, but hey. Guess we'll have to use free agency. The Bills trade Henry to the Eagles Yes Eagles for their late 2nd round pick (#63). Dorsey won't be back and they want a pounder to complement their shifty Westbrook. The Bills sign Marcus Price to an extension and trade him to the Redskins on draft day for their 6th round pick. Fair and even trade, considering the changes we're going to make on the line. Then the Bills Re-sign Pat Williams AND Jonas Jennings thanks to Moulds restructuring and Bledsoe finally admitting that he's not worth a whole lot anymore. (If he doesn't accept a backup role, buh-bye.) Which translates into: 2a. #55: Khalif Barnes, OT 2b. #63: WR Chris Henry (raw, but could be Randy Moss with character in a year) 3. #86: LB Barrett Ruud 4. #116: C Scott Mruczkowski 5. #147: RB Darren Sproles 6. TRADE our two 6ths to move up higher in the 6th for TE Adam Bergen 7. #213: CB Alphonso Hodge Read up on Barnes, Henry and Ruud. This draft would give us truly great depth on the offensive line, while giving the new LT and C time to learn and adjust. If Barnes looks to be as good or better than Jennings, we'll have powerful trade bait in Jennings next year. Chris Henry: Think Plaxico Burress. Ruud: Think a bigger Mike Vrabel. Sproles? Yea, he's tiny but have you seen him run? He has stop on a dime power of Barry Sanders and the speed and acceleration of...I'm not sure who. He'd be a nice complement to Shaud Williams. Granted, we'd still need a bigger RB via FA. To the "What, no left guard?" crew: There are many proven veteran guards in FA this season. As solid as Lawrence SMith was in pass pro, he'll be a backup next year. Jennings/Barnes FA LG/Smith Teague/Mruczkowski Villarial/Tucker Williams/McFarland WR scenario: Mularkey and CO. decide that J. Smith gives them everything Reed can give us, plus return ability. Buh-bye, Josh. Sorry you "lost your swing". But he still has value, and I wouldn't be surprised if we trade him right back to his old coach Nick Saban for a 4th or a comparable player. 1. Evans 2. Moulds 3. Aiken 4. J. Smith 5. Chris Henry (until he's ready)
  16. someone thinks that was fake? Bulletin: It wasn't. I hate seeing things like that. I don't see how that kid is alive. Hopefully he was wasted and never knew what hit him. Terrible. Get that outa here.
  17. we're not gonna get him. move on from your nuge fixation. he'll more likely be a fin than a bill. remember, you might end up hating the guy.
  18. it'll just make him more expensive to re-sign. congrats and whatnot, but it's not good news for The Bills. It does NOTHING for the Bills *team* and their *future success* to have a player voted to the prowbowl. It only inflates their value. F the probowl. It's a lame game that nobody really wants to win. Big effin deal.
  19. ACHTUNG: McMicheal can't block for schitt.
  20. Fartacus, if you think one emotionally lopsided win is worth a damn in the face of what the patriots have done, you're one of the biggest idiots ever to form an opinion.
  21. milloy just keeps disappointing. that attitude is unpatriot. it's the opposite of what makes them good. do we need that? I'd love to see us trade him and travis for a 1st.
  22. thanks for the content, air. i think this is part 1 of damage control. Huh? I think Drew hasn't called the Bills since Donahoe aired his "needs to take a paycut" directive through the media. I think it created nothing but cricket sounds. We'll probably hear more about this open competition. They don't want to de-value Bledsoe, even if only in perception. They want to up his value in any way they can. I don't believe he'll be a Bill next year cuz he'll be too busy learning Parcells' offense. Expect a 4th round pick. Of course, I'm just guessing.
  23. Rather have Elton Brown at G and Khalif Barnes at OT.
  24. They've gone from a birdie who looks annoyed and poised to pluck at your shin, to a birdie who looks determined to pluck at your shin. Quite an upgrade. http://www.azcardinals.com/news/news_details.html?iid=2586
  25. I'd love to bring in Derrick Mason and send Josh Reed back to Nick Saban for their 3rd or 4th round pick.
