Yes the giants just cut him a few days ago. He's already been released by the Redskins and Giants this year, and the Raiders thought so much of him they overpaid for Gibril Wilson.

lmao @ 15 Brown, Mike Bears (7) The guy hasn't played a full season since 2003 for christ sake Chris Hope....Deon Grant...Gibril Wilson?? Roy Williams?? Who the cowboys love so much they're no longer using him on passing downs, cause he couldn't cover a turtle? Stuart Schweigert?!?!?

Unpredictable defense
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to 2020 Our Year For Sure's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can see the 3-4 work in given situations. Stroud at DT Combo of Williams/McCargo/Spencer at dend. This is also what I was saying in a previous post out of the 3-4 you could use guys like Schobel or Ellis as a rush backer. On paper the players are there to make it work. I'm really looking foward to seeing the defense as a whole this year. Although I still think we're 1 pass rusher and 1 dt away from an elite unit. With that said. It should be a better defense then what we've seen the previous few seasons. -
I'm sure he'll hug plenty of qb's this year no need to worry. Personally I'd like to see Fewell move Schobel around, not strictly lined up at rde. Use him at lde. Hands off the ground. Like a lot of good passrushers are used. I'd like to see a pass rush line on 3rd down. Move Denney/Kelsay inside Ellis/Schobel on the outside, kind of like what the bears did with their dends and what the giants did last year. As far as Ellis himself goes. I expect as the year progresses he'll see a lot of situational pass down playing. Which is exactly what we need him to be.

who the fug is Brandon Meriweather?
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not a big deal. I just hope for a change, the Bills realize NE is the team to beat, and while beating up on the fins/jets is nice and all. It's irrelevant until the bills stop rolling over all submissive like and letting the pats have their way with them. -
Rudi Johnson to be released
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to BuffaloBilliever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the guy has a future as a short yardage/goalline back on some team, which could increase his value in some fantasy leagues. As far as being a starter anymore. I don't see it. He doesnt strike me as a Broncos kind of rb. I could see him end up on say the Eagles, a power back to compliment Westbrook. -
Rudi Johnson to be released
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to BuffaloBilliever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
bad mistake by nfl.com. On that note Rudi is pretty much done. I still think the guy was nothing more then a product of the talent around him for awhile. He's just so one dimensonal. One of the most boring rb's I've ever watched. -
Al Davis Befuddles Fantasy Owners!
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Steely Dan's topic in Fantasy Football
Well seeing how the raiders went and overpayed for guys like Javon Walker, Gibril wilson during the offseason. How Al Davis is bat sh-- crazy. I'm not suprised. He probably was hoping for hell for Chris Long to fall to them. Once he didnt he decided on the guy with the best physical skill. Personaly I'm not a fan of rb's that high. But eh it's the raiders. -
Corner and Ellis on the practise squad?...
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to julian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2007. The raiders cut Quentin Moses by accident, by placing him on waivers, with someone messing up paper work. He was claimed by the cards, then cut, then claimed by the dolphins. Moses was the 1st pick of the 3rd rd. Not a rookie, but the bears recently released Michael Okwo. A 3rd rd 07 pick lb out of Stanford. The odds of a rookie dend with the raw ability of a Chris Ellis. You can kiss him goodbye. The Bills are not set at dend by any stretch. -
no offense but those people are fairly stupid. With that said. It still would've been nice to have gotten a te. I really thought we were gonna at least get Rucker in the 4th before the browns traded up to nab him. Teams like washington/cleveland/dallas all take potentialy good te's. In Dallas's case I think a potentially very good te and we get derek fine who's now injured, and have to rely on schouman and royal. Well now Royal and courtney anderson with schouman also injured. I really just don't have hope anymore for the bills to ever get a receiving threat at the position, unless it happens by complete accident.

like I said on the 1st page of this thread

Jim Johnson and Monte Kiffin have been on the short list of hc's for years, neither of which had any desire to be a hc. There was rumors last year, Lane Kiffin was trying to get his dad, to be the dc out in Oakland, AL Davis wanted to keep the guy they had, and overruled the younger Kiffin. Some people just have cushy jobs, and some like where they're at. Monte re-signed with the bucs. Jim Johnson has a good thing with the eagles attacking defense. There's no reason for him to leave, and he's 67 probably doesn't want to be a hc. There's also guys like Dick LeBeau, who built a legacy for themselves. Tried to be a hc. Failed and stayed with what he does best. Losing LeBeau when we had him, and not giving him the dc job, was as bad of a mistake of the Donahoe regime, as not re-signing Pat Williams.

Honestly I never thought he was that bad. I thought he was a good st's player while he was here and he wasn't bad in washington either. I would've much prefered to have Prioleau then have been stuck with The likes of Jim Leonhard ever again. I'd venture to say he was also a better player then George Wilson as well.

Behind Closed Doors
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't want to see the Bills move, but strictly regarding Toronto. It's preseason. No one expects pre season to be capacity filled, with excited fans. It has way more merit, if the regular season games are like that. -
Damn, Favre looks pretty good!
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
pfft. Stop talking facts, and know better. The majority of fan overreaction is "Wow the jets got a qb, they'll now go from a 4 win talentless team to somehow winning 10-11 games". Nevermind the fact that once again. Dbrickshaw ferguson has pretty much been a bust. That Faneca can't pass block. That Damien Woody hasn't been a reliable olinemen since he played for NE. That Kris Jenkins, a lot like DeWayne Robertson, is not, and probably never will be a 3-4 nt. Their secondary is weak. Or that Gholston may seriously be in the wrong system as well, and may have been better off as a 4-3 end. Nope none of it matters. So they looked like a sieve giving up 90 rushing yards on 8 attempts to Rock Cartwright, or getting gashed by a 4th stringers, with Portis not playing. Nope they got Brett Favre. Also shh on the fact that before the packers loaded up on their team Favre had 2 of the worst years of his career in 05-06, on teams that have comparable talent to the jets. Nope It's The magical Brett Favre, who just wills his teams to victories. -

Yup, still sucks another Jersey product Bowen got hurt, but Costanza did his thing. -
Now that McKelvin is under contract......
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he should be used in any way that's the most immediate benefit to the bills team. What's more immediate then the ability to produce yards potential points in the return game? I'd have him split with Mcgee, but if he proves to be a more dynamic Kick returner, you give him the job. He's a rookie, with plenty of time to learn corner. -
The more I hear Steve Tasker talking
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to MikeInABQ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Steve tasker is awfuly anti bills for a bills guy. It's odd. That other guy was even worse. Which I didn't think was possible. On the first defensive series he gave about 5 tackles to Digiorgio, when Digiorgio wasn't even on the screen. How do you confuse Marcus Stroud for John Digiorgio? -
No props for Robert Royal?
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to marauderswr80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's great to see the potential use of the te. I still have doubts about Royal. Over the years he's been plagued by un-timely mistakes. Drop & fumbleitis. If he can be open more in the passing game and stretch the seems, I will sure a heck be giddy about it. Do it when it counts. That's all I'm saying. -
lol that was pretty good I'm just watching the game now, and while I tend to take next to nill away from preseason. Those first 2 drives were really good. The first td pass was very nice, with the right amount of touch. The scramble to avoid a safety. Just flawless, and great job by Lynch downfield blocking on that as well. I also like the presure we're getting defensively. We still need Peters back. No offense to Walker, who's been more then adequate at rt. He lacks the speed needed to be a lt.
