  1. I felt dorsey was the best player in last years draft. And a lot like I feel about gholston with the jets not being a fit for a 3-4 the same applies to dorsey. I'd take dorsey in a second
  2. Maybe he meant we're drafting Nathan Pepper Dl from South Carolina http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/584323 Get cha Pepper ready
  3. Well you're certinally entitled to that. It's just been so long since we've beaten them, and mostly watching Bills/Patriots game has come off as nothing more then a running joke. It's an embarrassment to how football should be played. I would love nothing more then to see Buffalo get that monkey off their back. When it comes to NE/Bills games I just expect the Bills to lose. Hopefully that changes soon.
  4. There's reasons to be positive when facing the patriots?
  5. I love measuring stick games, It's sad that it's gotten to the point where even keeping a game against the pats within 10 points would be considered a positive.
  6. Scheffler is not worth a 2nd. In the same token Owen Daniels isn't worth a top 15 pick. The only te who would've been worth that decided to stay at Oklahoma for another year. However Scheffler would add a truly viable target to the offense, something Buffalo has been lacking for a very long time. I dont know about the rest of you, but it would be nice to have playmakers who actually get open and score touchdowns, help in the redzone, and short yardage. I dont see this fascination with Derek Fine, or Schouman. Although Schouman at this time, has more upside then Fine It reminds me when people thought Tim Euhus would be the answer at te. Instead of being content with garbage and mediocrity we have a hope for players who are ya know good?
  7. Are you that afraid of talent that you don't want a good receiving te and would be happy going in with derek fine? The more talent we put on offense the better.
  8. We're Bills fans. We're not used to seeing what good defense actually looks like for the past decade. Yeah I know statistically we were good in 03-04, but we havent actually had a good defense since 1999.
  9. For me it has less to do with the ability, or inability to find quality lt, and way more to do with keeping the good players we currently have. Yeah we could find player x to replace peters, but wouldnt it make more football sense, to keep Peters and have Player X to replace Chris Kelsay, or Fill our need at LG, C, or TE? Instead of throwing gauze on top of the self inflicted wound, how about The Bills don't yet again cut themselves, and concentrate on upgrading the rest of the team?
  10. Cory Redding heh. Shows what having 1 very good year in the nfl can do for you financially. Where as Peterson bar his recovery time from his achillies tear has been consistently very good. Suprised they couldn't get anything better out of dealing him. Oh well dissapointing would've been fantastic to see the Bills go after him. Hopefully we can bring back Crowell
  11. Why was peterson released? Statistically still seems very productive, and at 31 years old, logic would say he still has a couple productive years left. As much as I would prefer re-signing Crowell to signing June or Keiaho. If Julian Peterson is medically cleared I'd take him over any of these free agent lb's. Guy is a sack machine, and good in coverage. and forces fumbles. 24.5 sacks, 3 picks and 9 forced fumbles his last 3 years with the Sehawks. Hopefully Buffalo looks into him.
  12. Nobody should be in a rush to try to sign Cato June, or Freddy Keiaho. Neither are an upgrade (better then Crowell), and LB is an easy position to fill. No need to overpay someone elses undersized scrubs to play, when we could fill the lb voids via the draft and depth with 3rd tier free agents.
  13. This should under no circumstances happen. I dont care if they give us their entire draft. It's hard to find quality LT's. The only way the Bills should even entertain this, is if Philly threw in Trent Cole. Even then the Bills should not self inflict another hole on the offensive line.
  14. If I'm a detroit fan I'm glad you're not gm. A lb who's not a pass rusher, and is stiff in coverage as the #1 overall player, at a position that's relatively easy to fill, coming off a year when you didnt win a single game?
  15. All Signs point towards water indeed being wet
  16. I dont discredit any of that. I look at it simply like this. What's the worst that can happen? We don't make the postseason again? We have to get a new coach/system/players again? Honestly if all that can happen is we have to blow it up and start from scratch there's no harm done. Like I said if 1 WR can alienate 52 other people, that's not a team that was ever going to win anything anyway.
  17. Once again Touchdowns sell tickets, and no wr in the past 3 years has more td's then TO. Josh Reed past 3 years: 3 touchdowns TO past 3 years: 38 tds To say anything other then this guy is a massive upgrade to our wr core is just ignorant. There's no precious chemistry to destroy. There's no body of work for a cancer to spread. It's a team that has no identity, that needed a shakeup. There is no worst case scenario. If a team of 52 other players, with a franchise who hasn't played a game that matters in over 9 years, have such fragile psyches that a 35 year old WR can destroy their nice guy mediocrity that they have going for them. Well then that's not a football team, that was gonna win sh--, with or without adding playmakers to the offense.
  18. Dissapointing. I was hoping we'd land him. The prospect of Keiaho or June isn't all that inspiring. The talent level would've been better off with peterson and moving poz to olb. Then Poz at mlb and keiaho or june. At this point I'd almost rather they draft a lb. There's some good ones in the draft this year, who will probably be better players then what we could get in free agency.
  19. The Bills have flopped for the past 9 years, without Hard Knocks, or any other suppoused "jinx". Are people that scared of a little publicity for a change? We've been a boring ass team outside of our special teams. A little something to get excited about for a change would be nice.
  20. I'm not gonna get into a JP vs TE style debate, but I'll say this. Owens is not a deep threat wr. He's a better version of what eric moulds was. Work that intermediate range and work after the catch. A Phsyical posession wr with speed and power. Best at working the middle of the field, tailor made for the strengths of Trent Edwards. The presence alone will take away a majority of the over the top coverage on evans, allowing Edwards to take more shots down the field as well. It is put up or shut up time for Trent though. We shall see.
  21. pretty nice for being done quick
  22. I'll agree to disagree on that point. Garcia's,Romo,Mcnabb all had career years playing with TO. Mcnabb didnt before and has yet to reach the statistical year he had playing with Owens. Garcia went from a qb who had 2 30 td seasons to a qb who bounced around from cle-det-philly-tampa. Tony Romo only put up 36 tds in his 2nd year starting in 07. The cowboys problem. Their unwillgness to run the ball late in the season. What chaso would TO cause. Edwards numbers would get better. Evans would see less double coverage and be open more often? The Bills have been missing a wr who can work the middle of the field, and run after the catch, since Moulds sharp decline. What's the worst that could happen? We don't make the playoffs for a 10th straight year? We have a losing record again? Dick Jauron fails as a coach? I dont see how there is any negative in signing TO. What precious chemistry is he gonna destroy? Edwards to Josh Reed. Well gee I dont know what I'd do if he could throw to a wr who could catch more then 1 td a season. THE HORROR.
