  1. I was in the front row behind the Bills bench at the far forty yard line and only saw Losman rolling right (before the play was blocked by the players and people on the sideline), so I started feeling sick when I heard that awful eruption of the crowd at the Meadowlands. I didn't even need to look at the replay on the Jumbotron to know WTF happened. It was a fun game to watch up until that point. BTW, with only a few exceptions our players look kind of skinny and weak up close. Can we please add some beef on this team starting with a center, a couple of DE's and a big linebacker? Live and in person, Lynch and McKelvin look and play like studs.
  2. It's not faith, it's just something that I feel is inevitable given that this team is regressing in it's third year under Jauron and the Miami Dolphins went from 1-15 last year to winning the division (which I think will happen) a year later. Ralph is not going to tip his hand because Jauron is so well liked and respected throughout the league. He's not going to leave him dangling in the wind these last two weeks by making any comment inferring he's going to fire his head coach. Hey, if I'm wrong I'll be back saying how right you were on this one.
  3. Say what you will about Ralph, even at 90 years old the guy is still competitive when it comes to his team and their standing in the division and the league as a whole. He also does not like spending millions on players and coaches who are not giving it their full efforts. We shall see who's right. Those Cleveland, San Francisco and Miami games were the death nail for the head coach of a passionless team. The mind-numbing play call in the Meadowlands was the cherry on top. Ralph is just waiting till the season ends so that he can come riding in on a white horse to the cheers of the fans and media.
  4. Thankfully I won't have to get over it. Ralph may be cheap, but the guy does have a breaking point and seeing the Dolphins fly past his team in only one season while the Dick Jauron model is regressing after three seasons is his breaking point. Mark my words, Dick Jauron has no shot at coming back for another year here as head coach.
  5. ...is the turnaround by the Miami Dolphins. I think Ralph is livid and will be all the more livid when Jauron brings the ship into port at 6-10 while the Miami Dolphins beat the Jets in the final game of the season and grab the AFC East title after going 1-15 the year before. I'm not even worried that Jauron is coming back. An extension does not trump a colossal disaster of this magnitude. It makes financial sense (unmarketable hopeless team in a down economy equals huge ticket sales drop) and football sense (losing 9 of last 10 games equals horrific coaching) to admit that he is simply not a capable head coach if having a winning season is a short or even a long term goal. I still hope they give Tampa Bay DB coach, Raheem Morris a serious look for their next head coach. He sounds like the polar opposite of Dick Jauron in the passion and personality department. Please no more retreads Ralph. Look no further, Morris is the perfect fit here.
  6. For a guy who will go winless in his division and become the proud owner 7 out of 8 losing seasons, that play should be a career ending play. I'm holding out hope that Wilson will be pragmatic and come to the realization that eating Jauron's contract extension will save him a lot of money when he considers the loss of season ticket holders if he's retained. Ralph wants to look like a hero riding in on the white horse after the Pats put a bow on a 6-10 season. I'm not buying this talk of Jauron coming back next year.
  7. If we get down to 1st and goal to go then I want them to see them run the ball every time and even go for it on 4th down and run it again. I'd put Stroud in at fullback and tell Marshawn to follow his fat ass into the endzone. Otherwise I want to see them have some fun out there. I want to see a deep bomb to Hardy, a flee flicker, I want to see a half back option pass with Marshawn. I want to see all of that and see Marshawn get the ball twenty times in the running game. The season is over and it's time to take a deep breath, relax, let it all hang out and go ruin the Jets season.
  8. Try 45 degress with 11 mph winds... http://www.weather.com/weather/wxdetail/US...mp;from=weekend As much as you want to run the ball on every play, the Jets are 31st against the pass... http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tab...mp;d-447263-n=1 What you've suggested is too drastic. Passing the ball to Lynch, Jackson, Evans and even Hardy, yes Hardy (season's over can we get give him more than one throw a game please), should be at least as important as running the ball. A 50-50 run/pass balanced attacked with good play from d and special teams should be the gameplan.
  9. Hey pal, Brian Billick is a big a**hole egomaniac who only won that Superbowl because he had Ray Lewis. The guy is a first class jerk who thinks he's a freaking genius. I can't stand that guy and he'd be a bigger disaster than Jauron if he were to come here.
  10. Hells yeah! Other than age and experience Morris has everything we have been waiting for...energy, passion, toughness, confidence. Plus he's been mentored by a couple of the best coaches in the business in Gruden and Kiffin. The guy came from Livingston, NJ (if you don't know, that's a tough neighborhood) and here's some confidence for you... http://www.tampabay.com/sports/football/bu...ticle927072.ece "Why am I a free agent? It's just my choice," Morris said. "It's nothing with the Buccaneers. They've been awesome. I just chose not to put myself in a position to lock myself up. "If the opportunity presents itself, I just wanted to have the choice (to go somewhere else). It's no secret they'll make the choice for you. And that's fine. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, and they've done a great job with the coaches. All the guys they've held back have become head coaches or have become coordinators. So they've done something right." It's not too farfetched to suggest, with as many as 12 head coaching jobs possibly available after the season, Morris could bypass coordinator and interview for a top job. "I don't know. There's a lot of guys that have done it without (coordinator) experience," Morris said. "But it's about leadership and how you direct your team and becoming a great teacher. Hopefully, I have some of those characteristics. That's why people mention me in that category. It's a passion thing. If you have that, you can become a head coach. If you don't, you won't." I read that as "Sorry Bucs, but I'm so freakin good I don't want to be tied down for more than one year here."
  11. Deferring the kickoff in the first Miami game. With a gleaming 5-1 record and a nice sunny day in Florida playing their first AFC East divisional game, the Buffalo Bills announced that they were still a meek, small minded, play not to lose bunch who didn't have the balls to try to take out their opponent early in the game. Miami gets the ball...BOOM...touchdown Miami. From that point on, everyone knew the Bills were going to lose after that score. Even when they were ahead, I thought they were toast. They never recovered from that decision and game.
  12. Green Bay used to play a ton of games in Milwaukee. What Chris said could be the biggest exaggeration in the history of NFL commentators. So far it was a stupid move, but Buffalo was lamely trying to bolster their fan base to help make them more competitive. Hasn't worked that way so far, but Collinsworth is an idiot for making such an over the top statement. Dumbest thing in the history of the NFL? I could name a few more dumb things this team did this year starting with letting Jauron coach their team for a third straight losing season.
  13. I was at that Holcomb game too. That one was just brutal to sit and watch your QB throw away 4 picks and the game on a cold New Years day at Giants Stadium. I can't blame you for not going. It's been two years for me so win or lose badly, I'm pretty psyched to watch our team live and in person again. It's amazing they aren't in the playoff race anymore given their start. What a joke.
  14. The last Bills game I attended... http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter?game_id=2906...&week=REG14 Losman and McGahee led Bills team beat a playoff bound Jet team pretty soundly. It was so much fun, hope to have the same luck on Sunday.
  15. Thanks a lot bro, I'm going to this game! Hope to be watching them become spoilers, expecting them to become massacred.
  16. "Plant J.P Losman in the turf so deep he'll taste swamp water"- Hey, this guy might be a closet Bills fan.
  17. As much as JP sucked last weekend (and he did suck bigtime), his stone handed receivers did not help the cause in the early going. Let's be fair and point the finger at everyone last week. There is always someone screwing up the damn plays on this team! Do these guys even practice during the week? It's like they're a bunch of scared little babies.
  18. I appreciate the mature response, it's quite refreshing. In my view, today's NFL game has changed. Everything is excellerated. Look at the Broncos, they are starting 8 rookies and just beat the Jets. Look at the success that Ryan and Flacco are having with rookie head coaches. Look at how quickly the 49ers have changed as a team since Singletary took over. Even though it is early going with him, that is one AMAZING transformation and it has everything to do with the difference between a bad coach in Nolan and a good coach in Singletary. Tomlin WAS given a great team, but you have to admit that Pittsburgh hasn't missed one beat since Cowher left. They were smart and chose someone who they considered would be a great coach, not someday, but right now. Because they had a team that was ready in the present. If the Bills fans were the fans of the team that had a retiring Cowher leaving with the ring, I guarantee you that our fans would be saying we needed a coach with experience because this team was still ready made to compete. What do YOU think the reaction would be here if Wilson hired a Mike Tomlin (Tampa Bay DB coach) coming off of a Superbowl? To me the choice is a clear one, we need a dynamic head coach. We need a coach that truly will get these players to actually play to the hilt and not just talk about it. The whole thing about how Jauron's players play hard for him is a complete myth. The Bills need to do what the Steelers did and hire the best guy out there regardless of experience. I believe that guy is Raheem Morris. Hey, you're a great poster! We CAN have differences of opinion without the "jock" jokes.
  19. Yes. See, I'm not a small minded person like yourself who is clearly afraid of change. I believe that Morris would be a 1000 times better than Dick Jauron. I don't even think it's a risky proposition. The reason I believe this is from reading the comments by the players and his coaches, including his mentor Monte Kiffin. BTW, this is not a rebuilding stage for the Buffalo Bills. The core of young players have now been here three years now. This is a time that they need a real football coach to light a freaking fire under their ass and win this division next year. Just Like Miami is going to do with a rookie head coach who was hired from a position coach, taking a 1-15 team and winning the AFC East THIS year. See, that's the difference between you and me. You think small and I think big. This team has the talent, they certainly have the same amount of talent that Miami has. The thing that is most wrong with the Bills is the thing that you want to keep here, Dick Jauron. He's what is holding them back. So I do understand why you are so confused by my suggestion of Raheem Morris for the next Bills head coach. The very fact that you are on board with sticking with Dick Jauron says all I need to know about your intelligence.
  20. You seem way too comfortable with the "jock" humor my man. A bit lonely are we? I'm not going to ague with you all night on this...btw, Ozzie Newsome built that team not Billick. I hope the Bills are open minded about hiring a guy like Morris and I'm certainly glad you are not making the decision.
  21. Is Brian Billick going to teach them how to win? Without Ray Lewis? You're kidding, right? The only reason he has a ring is because of Lewis. Plus the guy is a jerkoff egomaniac who would be a horrible pick for a head coach. You're crazy if you'd want that guy more than Morris. Is Steve Mariucci going to teach them how to win? Mr. Soft and Cuddly, California nice guy, players' coach? Exactly how does that work with the 53 softies we have on this roster? BTW, what the hell has Steve Mariucci ever won? Marty? Well if winning a Superbowl is your ultimate goal then why on earth would you want Marty? He's a dinorsaur, he even failed at getting his Chargers to the big game. Not winning the big one is the story, and I mean THE STORY, of his life and with me being a Buffalo Bills fan, one that I want no part of thank you. Fassell? You can't be serious with throwing his name out there. Fassell is a loser. He's got almost as much loser stink on him that Dick Jauron had when he got here. He had only one very good season out of seven in New York and that was because the NFC conference was at it's rock bottom level that year. If you'd rather have Jim Fassell than Raheem Morris then we might as well just stop the arguing right here and now. Boy are you living in the past! Raheem Morris would bring a much needed breath of FRESH AIR. Jauron and the Bills have spent the last two years suffocating the life out of this game we call football. Morris has everything the Buffalo Bills want and need as a head coach who's not named Bill Cowher. BTW, you can't stop the Raheem for Bills head coach train!
  22. Oh please, calm the f down dude. I'm the only one here who's been trying to get Morris' name out there and I've only posted my opinions on him a few times. What you clearly don't understand is that to be a great head football coach you either have it or you don't. It's something that you can't fake and something that you can magically get with age and experience. Hate to burst your bubble, but the only "proven winner", Bill Cowher, isn't walking through those doors over at One Bills Drive. Any other "name" coach you could come up with would have baggage attached. Try me, come up with this "proven winner" for the Bills head coaching position with no baggage. I dare ya. From everything I've read the Bills would be stupid not to seriously consider Raheem Morris as their next head coach. As for your worry about not being a coordinator, have you not heard of these successful coaches?... Tony Sparano Mike Tomlin John Harbaugh Sean Payton Mike Singletary Mark my words, Morris WILL be the top coaching prospect in 2010 if he isn't hired as one this year. This may be the only shot at hiring a bright young NFL mind that would be here 10 very successful years. You can't get what he clearly has through experience, you either have the qualities of a great head coach or you don't. Don't be so scared about hiring a young guy. That old experienced smart guy we hired was an unmitigated disaster, the Bills need change we can believe in! The Bills need Raheem Morris baby! Here are my parting shots... http://flickr.com/photos/7131242@N03/1071510463 http://flickr.com/photos/scarmedia/2735302205/ http://www.tampabay.com/sports/football/bu...ticle927072.ece http://goallinefootball.com/newsblog/tag/raheem-morris/
  23. I strongly disagree. Just because Marv Levy used to be a special teams coach doesn't mean that Booby April is the next Marv Levy. Wasn't the logic behind hiring Dick Jauron was that he was an ivy leaguer like Marv was and that he had previous experience just like Marv? Hiring Bobby April is NOT the way to go. This team needs to flush out the system and start anew with a young bright energetic head coach. Bobby April is not the change this organization needs. The only consistency should be that Bobby April stays on as special teams coach. The change this team needs is Raheem Morris... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ.../12/02/coaches/ "• Raheem Morris -- Haven't heard of the Bucs defensive backs coach? You will. For one thing, he's thought to be a slam dunk to become Tampa Bay's defensive coordinator should Monte Kiffin join his son's staff at the University of Tennessee. But Morris is also thought of as the next Mike Tomlin, whom he worked under in Tampa Bay as recently as 2005. He's got a winning and magnetic personality, and though he's only 32 -- younger than Bucs veterans Derrick Brooks and Ronde Barber -- his players rave about his fiery coaching style and his ability to motivate." Did you read that? "winning and magnetic personality", "fiery coaching style", "ability to motivate"...these are the qualities that we're looking for as Bills fans. Bobby April is a guy that has never shown the desire to become a head coach and forcing someone into that position is NOT the change we are looking for. Raheem Morris, this dude is not the second coming of the lame coaching jokes that Williams and Malarkey were. He is the second coming of Mike Tomlin and the players would not only play for this kind of coach, they'd win for this kind of coach.
  24. ...30 minutes in the freezing cold while the 49ers had the ball, then got this specific kind of injury on the first series? I do. That deferral was stupid. Jauron angered the football gods that day when he deferred after the team had scored 47 points the week before in KC. Nothing like icing your own QB. But "hey, the other teams are doing it!". Like your Momma always said if your friend jumped off a building, would you? The deferral rule helped to ruin our damn season thanks to our idiot coach. It was tailored made for an ultraconservative, play not to lose coach like Dick Jauron. It seems to be his one and only decision every gameday and he always gets that one decision wrong. Does anyone else see him making decisions the rest of the game? I don't.
  25. Sorry, I probably got you mixed up with someone else (I think I know who now). I do remember that there was more than a smattering of fans here who grew tired to the point of wanting me banned because of my wish for Jauron's immediate departure after last season.
