  1. What's scary is that Dallas will no doubt be given today's Offensive and Defensive golden blueprint courtesy of Rob's brother Rex. We need to start seeing Fitzpatrick rolling out and running with the ball like he used to. We need to start seeing Smith used on reverse run/pass options. We need to see designed roll outs with passes targeted deep down the field again. We need to see passing to Spiller and Jackson in the middle of the field. We especially need to stop with the dink and dunk! Can't wait to see what Chan comes up with because today's gameplan was probably already flushed down the toilet by now.
  2. I live in New Jersey and it's funny how little the NY/NJ think of our team. In a nutshell, the Bills were a "nice" "fun" early season story but it's time that they're put back in their place behind the only truly good teams in the division, the Jets and Pats. Let's hope the Jet players are thinking the same thing as their fans and media. Which I actually think they do.
  3. The closer this game gets, the more I think one of these teams has a semi-meltdown today. So I don't think it will be a close one. It always seems like it's one team winning big over the other in this series. I feel like it will be our team winning big today, but you never know.
  4. You have… White uniforms at home, first time since 25 years. Scott Norwood getting honored at halftime. It's nice that they're doing it, but it's also very odd. Aaron Maybin is coming back as a honorary captain to "avenge" his being cut after doing nothing but embarrassing himself here. The more mature looking team are the young upstart Bills, going against the little brat Jets team who've reached the AFC Championship game the last 2 years. My final remark isn't about the oddness, it's just a prediction…looking at the rest of their schedules realistically, the team who loses this game will not be making the playoffs.
  5. There's something special about this team and this year. I think this game cements what the Bills players already know, that they're a real good team and that they expect to win the division and make the playoffs. Will Rex, Sanchez, Plax and Maybin derail this solid Bills teams at home with so much at stake? Aaaaaah no...I just don't see it happening. We've got a great bunch of guys right now who will fight tooth and nail as to not disappoint their team mates. In the end, the Jets and their fans will be left wondering why they felt so darn good going in with Sanchez and Green, while the Bills had the real difference makers in Fitzpatrick and Jackson, on their side.
  6. To me, the Bills just seem to be a more cohesive team this year than the scattershot Jets. The Jets will no doubt be coming in and trying to run the ball down our throats. Even if they do it doesn't necessarily mean that we lose, but let's all hope that the Bills can finally stop their run a whole lot better than they have in the past. They aren't the same, but they're still no slouches. Plus, Rex had two weeks to work out the kinks. I think this will be a tough fought game for both teams.
  7. The Jets are a good team. Sanchez and Plax are starting to get on the same page, you got Holmes on the other side, the running game is picking up, the defense is still pretty good. What bugged was listening to WFAN this week and hearing the radio hosts/Jet fans saying that this is the week the Jets will smack the Bills back down to size. They have no fear at all of the Bills. They've all been saying what a nice story the Bills have been, but that the Jets will put them in their rightful place, 3rd best in the division. The storyline to this game is very similar to the Pats game. Will the Bills answer the call and beat their other "big brother" in the division? I say yes, because they have so far proven to be the better team this year and they're playing at home. This is going to be a great game.
  8. I'm I the only one who thinks that the "Pina Colada" song is the perfect one hit wonder American pop hit? The song is catchy, it tells a simple story, it doesn't try too hard, it was a throw away hit that has never been thrown away, it's intended to be somewhat silly and kitschy, the rhymes are so bad that they're really good. This is as classic American pop as it gets. Everytime this song comes on at a bar, yes people laugh but they still seem to really enjoy it. I actually think that this one should be considered in the top 10 of the seventies. It truly morphs everything that was bad and good about the 70s into one ridiculously simple love song. Those other 9 songs NEVER get played on the radio, that's absolutely not the case for the "Pina Colada" song. That song got hosed.
  9. I know that it won't be a popular opinion here, but Gailey needs to let Fitzpatrick throw the ball deep again. If not for the two gigantic TD plays, we'd be talking about how predictable this offense has become and how defenses have caught up to them. The Bills are nothing but quick slants, screens and runs up the middle. That well has dried up. They need to trust in and let Fitzpatrick throw it deep to the WRs/Spiller/Chandler. There are way to many defenders bunching up the Bills from 10 yards in. Luckily they have two weeks to practice the vertical dimension which if successful, should open everything up and make our offense dangerous again.
  10. Here's the rest of the story... http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Harbaugh-Schwartz-and-the-first-quarter-play-th?urn=nfl-wp9711 Hard to feel sorry for the Schwartz after seeing that. They're both a couple of jerks.
  11. It was clear to everyone on the field, in the stands, and watching on tv that this game was coming down to the last three minutes. Look at what happened to the Cowboys by being conservative running it three times then punting. Same would be said if the Bills ran it three times, kicked a field goal and have Manning with plenty of time to win the game in regulation. Field goals don't hold the same weight that they used to. This is an arena football type league now and you need to coach that way. Johnson was open, it was Fitzpatrick's under throw that was the problem. He's got to be better than that, but even Kelly had bad games and costly throws in away games. I really think that Eli would have drove the field and beat the Bills with a TD in the final seconds. I think that Gailey was thinking that as well. When you play in a game with two evenly matched teams with both knowing that it will come down to final minutes decisions and execution, the margins or error become ridiculously small. Other than Fitzpatrick's poor throw, I don't see any reasons why the Bills need to hang their heads. They played to win just like they should have and I'm ok with that.
  12. Thanks for giving me the props. I don't know how equal it is, but of course both parties do this. I don't see myself as a dem or republican. Americans are fed up with the shameless opulent lifestyles of the Washington politicians. The jig is up. Unless you're name is Charlie Rangle or Nancy Pelosi and live in a liberal district of brain dead and brain washed people, you're outta there when it comes voting time. The non-propagandized information flow of the internet has opened up the eyes of the masses. It's changed the game for good. You saw it in MA and NJ, then you saw it in the 2010 elections and you will see it again in 2012. If you're a Washington fat cat who says "do as I say not as I do", you're toast. Obama and his wife did themselves no favors with three years full of travel, lavish star-studded parties and endless rounds of golf during an almost depression-like period of our country. They only have themselves to blame.
  13. The Washington Post of all places called her out for creating a fake TMZ moment (in coordination with the AP) to dull the backlash of her million dollar trip to Africa. She goes on a lavish trip to Spain when I'm sure there was a suitable and less pricy US destination which could have used the influx of money. She is a disgrace. At least her husband is personable. Michelle acts like her life is a living hell while there are people living in tent cities throughout the country. I honestly think I'll be more happy when she leaves over her husband.
  14. Hardly. I live in New Jersey and I could care less who he endorses. In fact, I think this will backfire on both Romney and Christie when there's no perceivable bounce at all. People are done with the good ol' boy network.
  15. Don't worry, unlike what they didn't do with Obama, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN will turn over every rock and pebble to find something on Cain, and if they don't find something they'll just call him an "Uncle Tom" and a traitor to his race. I like Herman Cain the best so far. He checks all of the boxes, INCLUDING him never having been a politician. Romney is more of the same. At least with Cain there's at least a possible chance for changing Washington.
  16. I think Michelle Obama's disgraceful. Her fake, "see I'm roughing it like ya'll" trip to Target was about as non-transparent as it gets. It was a fake trip made by an elitist who's a complete phony and who could care less about Americans who are suffering economically.
  17. The Bills need to beat a beatable Giant team if they want a chance at the division. The Pats will probably lose only two more games before the last game Bills vs. Pats. Therefore the Bills need to keep pace and can only "afford" at most three slip-ups till then. I think they lose once to one of the three remaining NFC East games, once to the Jets, and once out of the other games on the schedule (perhaps Chargers?). This will leave the Bills playing the Pats for the division title in the last game of the season (since the Bills win the tiebreaker if they beat them and their records are the same). So to sum it up, they need to beat a Giant team that looks to be very average. Doesn't matter that it's an away game and the Giants will be playing angry after losing to the Seahawks.
  18. Because this is their affluent kids' "Woodstock" moment... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2047664/Occupy-Wall-Street-Children-1-good-time-protests.html "Hard life: A group of college girls at the site. Some spoke of attending Bard, a private school which charges $200,000 in fees" The MSM are made up of people who think that they're still hip young rebels who have seemingly fooled themselves into thinking they didn't sell out a long time ago. I'm sure the next contradictory thing to come is protesters selling trendy "Occupy Wallstreet" t-shirts.
  19. I think that defense is bad throughout the league because not only are WRs are fearless knowing they won't be getting the "knockout" hit anymore, this whole league is full of defenders who don't know how to tackle without leading with the head. I'm not going crazy with how many yards we've given up. This has become an Arena Football style league where no lead is safe and no deficit too big to overcome.
  20. I think the crowd will be more nervous than loud today. I'm expecting the Eagles will have a good amount of success on offense. Hopefully the Bills will match them and be able to run them into the ground in the fourth and win the game.
  21. The most interesting thing about this game is how badly both teams need the win for differing reasons. If the Bills lose today this season will have a completely different feel than it did two games ago. They will automatically become just another average going nowhere ho-hum team. There's a gigantic difference in being 4-1 and 3-2. The Eagles' backs are obviously up against the wall. This looks like a very even matchup. It may be a cliche, but this game will come down to who wants it more in the fourth quarter, just like 90% of the NFL games played this year.
  22. I agree with this for the most part. To me, the offensive key for this game is Jackson, Spiller and Smith and how creative Gailey can be to get them the ball in space where the Eagles are not known for being good tacklers. I don't see Fitzpatrick as being anything other than a quick distributer of the ball. Defensively you've got to think that these guys have something to prove! Having said that I fully expect for Vick to hit on some big passing plays, they key is to get a couple of turnovers to match those big plays. I think both teams score in the twenties. I wonder if both teams hope they're down a couple TDs going into the fourth quarter given how these games are going in the NFL...LOL
  23. It was both, they were favored and they didn't care as much as the Bengals. It's a team psychology thing, not a play by play thing. Bill Belichick uses psychological ploys to motivate his team all the time. I know that you wish your team plays hard all the time, but they clearly did not play with the same passion last week as they did the previous three weeks. It's my opinion that they didn't because they were favored and did not go into it with the same sense of urgency. The kind of urgency that the Bengals displayed in the 4th quarter. They looked like our team did the previous three weeks. I think the Bills come out strong this week because they are underdogs with a 3-1 record playing at home against a 1-3 team. I know that this would tick me off badly. These guys are human after all. The fact that the Eagles are so desperate makes this game very hard to call. Both teams should have plenty of motivation so it should be one heck of a game this week. I think the one who wants it most will win.
  24. Given the results of last week's game, no I don't. Bill Belichick is known for always playing "mind games" with his players by pointing out slights (be they major or minor) made against his team. I'm of the opinion that the more highly motivated team wins over 50 percent of NFL games when both teams are fairly equal. The Bengals were more motivated than the Bills last week. Whoever is more motivated will win this Bills/Eagles game this Sunday. The Niners cared more than the Eagles did. Football is simple...if you don't care as much as the other team, you will get beat.
  25. What about a 3-1 Bills team who beat the Pats which have been placed as 3 point underdogs to a 1-3 Eagle team who just lost at home by the Niners? Both teams should have a bur up their you-know-whats.
