He's only 2 years younger than Fitzpatrick. We already have the best Drew Stanton could ever dream of becoming with our current QB. If Stanton was any good at all then there were 10 teams that were looking for a QB this offseason and not once did I read any of them looking to trade for him. I wish fans would let Fitzpatrick play out the season before burying him. Dude threw 23 TDs in 13 games on a team with a poor running game, no TE and a bad OL. I understand fans being skeptical over the long term future with Fitzpatrick, but Drew Stanton? C'mon man.

I say we eliminate sideline hoodies with the sleeves cut off. Look how great the elimination of the kickoff return turned out. They should just keep on changing this game. Change is awesome! Let's make field goals beyond 50 yards 3 points! That'd be so frikkin cool.

I think that we have a 1 and 1a situation and I said that even before reading about Chan's comments in which he said as much. We have a set of backs that are so complimentary to each other that it should be seen by both players and fans what an optimal situation the Bills have at the position. This is really a non-story and Jackson's reaction is starting to make me question his leadership on the team. You don't hear Patriot players crying about playing time or if they're considered the starter or not. Each member has a role and just does their job. That's what Jackson needs to do. He needs to shut up and play as one of the 2 starting complimentary RBs on this team. Neither Jackson or Spiller are full time starter material. They're dual starters. I hope that Jackson does the team right and goes back to the media and let them know that he's done talking about this subject and he's ready, willing and able to what's asked of him by his coaches. Of course all of this talk of equal carries hinges on Spiller's ability to be able to block a blitzing LB which to date he has sucked at. But if and when he's able to prove he can do this then I fully expect both players to support each other and buy into the 1 and 1a roles.

The reason why Jackson's status is under question is because of his lack of the big play potential. Jackson would be great to have as a starter if you had a HOF QB like Manning or Brady, but the Bills do not have that. CJ has that big play potential and I have no problem with them exploring his ability to handle the starters role. If he can't handle blocking blitzing LBs (he still can't) then it a mute point because he'll be sitting the bench.

The MSM lost all credibility during the last presidential election. In four short years the independents and centrists who used to watch them, left the traditional media outlets in favor of getting their news over the internet. The ratings drops over the last four years proves this. But the MSM doesn't care since they're subsidized by Soros. It's a new world and only a moron would continue think that NBC isn't an arm on the current administration and also the DNC. They like keeping their constituents on the government plantation so that they can keep their lifelong big and powerful jobs of being their masters.

I stated earlier in this thread that I just don't understand the drama over who is named the "starter". I really feel that they should both get about the same amount of carries over the year since they're both complimentary runners who can't handle the "full load" of a real full time NFL starter. To me, they should consider themselves as 1 and 1a starters and just support each other in that respect. CJ isn't a full time starter and neither is Jackson, so what exactly is this drama about????

One of my biggest concerns about Fitzpatrick
1billsfan replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Amen brother, not to mention that they just added a new head coach who had the worst record in the league last year. To me, Fox was clearly taking advantage of the situation, a Buffalo team ready for a ho-hum preseason game, for reasons of franchise, team and fans' psyche. -

It was a joke. It's way too early to get hot and bothered over the Bills. -
I love how deeply offended and upset the liberals were with Perry's "mean" and "nasty" comments about a bureaucrat like Bernake, yet revel in calling average everyday Americans terrorists and then telling them that they can all go straight to hell. Cute trick there.

You're kidding me right? I just checked and Fitzpatrick's ranked #7 in the league in FA (Field Awareness). -
Stevie J and Fredie J
1billsfan replied to South Jersey Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was PO'd that the Bills players right in front of the play didn't go after Moore by at least going to him and giving him a piece of their minds. Perhaps they were first year players? If that was the Steelers, Pats, Jets or Ravens sideline I guarantee you that the sideline players would come to the defense of their teammate who was just "Tatum'ed". Stevie and Freddie showed that they have their teammate's back. I liked that. -

Fitzpatrick is one of the smartest QBs in the league. Lack of awareness is something that is not a concern with him. Denver was blitzing like crazy, sending 5 and 6 guys on almost every passing play, which probably caught the entire Bills offense off guard. Teams generally don't blitz like that in preseason and I think that Denver's blitzing was for the purpose of putting on a "show" for their fans. Fitzpatrick knows how to tip off players to when and where the blitz may come. He got his wakeup call and won't be a sitting duck next week. -
That's what they said in Denver about Kyle Orton!...LOL

I can't see any team in the NFL picking up Tebow's big contract (btw, he's due to be paid 7 million a month into this season) so he's as good as gone. I could see Tebow wanting to come and play for Chan. That being said, I'm very much looking forward to seeing how Fitzpatrick plays in 2011 and have had enough of QB drama over the last 15 years. Hopefully, whether Tebow is here or not, Fitzpatrick nails down the job with a huge season this year.

Here's a crazy idea, play both CJ and Freddie. I know it sounds insane but bare with me. This isn't the 70's, 80' or 90's anymore, you really do need two RBs in todays NFL. So consider that we just may have the perfect setup of 1 and 1a starters. They are both complimentary to each other since they are two differing styles of RBs. There should be no reason to even have any drama over this. Tell them that they are both starters and whoever is in the first series will likely change from game to game, but by the end of the season their number of carries will closely match one another. I not only would take this 1 and 1a approach, I'd also bring back the two tailback backfield scheme to throw a curveball at the league. Both CJ and Freddie can catch and run the ball so it would set up great play fakes opportunities while giving extra pass protection when it's a play action fake. There should be no RB drama, so why cause it.

Waning days of a political movement

Denial delusional, projection…these are the words that come to mind when I read that post from BH. Obama, the first black president of the US, is starting to lose the black vote. Hope and change has officially become a punchline. The only thing dying is liberalism and the reason he doesn't know it yet is because he's one of the few lonely soles still riding on the Obama train to a place called misery. -
This just goes to show you how crazy good Sarah Palin was (and I think still is). You have this Michelle Bachman person who wins the straw poll in Iowa and not even one week later it seems like everybody is already sick and tired of her!...LOL To me, so far looking at the players at the beginning of this GOP campaign, Palin's stature grows each and every day. It will get awfully interesting if she joins the race and suddenly looks like the sane one among this current group of knuckleheads. BTW, there was a very good reason why she was ripped to shreds by the dems. She's good.

Gannon predicts Bills will finish last in AFC East
1billsfan replied to xsoldier54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we finish 9-7 and 2nd place behind the Pats. The Jets have that "team on the verge of implosion" look to me, and by "implosion" I mean an 8-8 record which to them would mean an implosion. Picking up Maybin tells me that they're beyond desperate in finding a pass rush. There are only a handful of former NFLers who's opinions are worth more than the average fan's and Gannon isn't one of them. -
Inner city youth mob attacks continue…

This issue is finally reaching the masses… http://michellemalkin.com/2011/08/17/flash-mobs-grievance-stokers-and-raaaaaacism/ Oh look another white person beat up by a black mob… http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/news/local_news/new-video-shows-philly-teen-attack-081711 ...BTW, not one mention that this could be classified as a hate crime. Great article on the subject… http://townhall.com/columnists/thomassowell/2011/08/17/social_degeneration_part_2 "Although much of the media have their antennae out to pick up anything that might be construed as racism against blacks, they resolutely ignore even the most blatant racism by blacks against others." I live in New Jersey where on Tues night a young Pakistani woman and her husband were gunned down while walking her 3 year old child in a stroller. She died instantly while he survived the attack. Immediately all of the reports coming out from the radio and tv media were insinuations that this was probably a hate crime because she was wearing traditional ethnic clothing at the time. Seriously!? Since when do hate crimes generally involve a gunman mowing down a mom walking her little kid in a stroller? Now they are thinking it it might be linked to a domestic dispute. Ya think? White people are getting pummeled on camera by blacks and not one mention, yet whites are quickly pinned with the horrific bullet-ridden murder of a mom stroller her little girl down the street. Amazing. -
Official Calling out Bachmann thread
1billsfan replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'm tired of all these politicians addressing the American people like they're four years old. Bachman went from "promising contender" to "hack politician" in zero point two seconds...LOL Try running a state before even thinking about running for president. -

1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
There's nothing racist about my thread other than reverse racism (which is racism, duh) of the MSM. How come Al Shaprton isn't up in arms? Was Obama and Holder's decision to play racial favorites the first domino to fall? This clearly isn't going away. We can have real conversations about what's going on in this country, right? Stop with the insinuations that this is a racist thread. Please point out one racist comment I made in this thread. -
All the greats ran with an attitude. So far we have yet to see this trait from Spiller. I'm of the opinion if we don't see him running with an attitude and purpose this year, I don't think he ever becomes the great running back we all hoped he'd become after he was our pick. Running backs generally don't take more than a year to become good.
