That's already happening. Remember the South Park episode (that wonderfully irreverent and satirical Comedy Central cartoon which finally found itself a target completely off limits)?... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/201_(South_Park) How about our own government's capitulation?... http://www.newsmax.com/FrankGaffney/MuslimBrotherhood-hillaryclinton/2011/07/20/id/404307 "The Islamists who see the 57-member Organization of the Islamic Conference as a kind of new caliphate uniting and advancing the interests of all Muslims will not be satisfied, however, with anything less than the realization of their ultimate objective: an international directive to all U.N. member states to prohibit and criminalize expression that is deemed offensive by any Shariah-adherent parties"

What is "Right-Wing Extremism"?
1billsfan replied to Rob's House's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's easy. Anyone who disagrees with Obama is called out as a right wing extremist by the left and the media in general. Real right wing extremists are the ones who want to abolish the federal government altogether, are probably living "off the grid" and preparing for the day when the government tries to take away their guns. -
Rick Perry (STAY AWAY FROM THIS CANDIDATE)
1billsfan replied to major's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Not knowing anything about the guy at all, let me just say that on the surface, Rick Perry just looks and acts weird. Like he'd be the guy picked to play the politician in a Stanley Kubrick film. Right now my top two would be... 1. Christie 2. Palin Before you get on me about Palin, just note that to this date the liberal media has found zero evidence of her being an idiot after the scrubbing of 25,000 emails of the former governor. She is the epitome of the anti-Obama candidate. -
The Steelers have become such an embarrassment for the league. Hope the Rooneys are proud they've overtaken the Bengals' mantel and become the cesspool of the NFL.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Well put. There are two prongs to Islam, one is a religion and one is a political movement. The political side wants to infiltrate and use our laws against us even if it takes decades or centuries to do so. Communities should be able to ban mosques as long as mosques support sharia law. This is America, sharia law and our country's laws can not coexist.

FBI Instigating News Corp
1billsfan replied to Dave_In_Norfolk's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
As far as I know, a hacked cell phone has never resulted in the death of a US Border Agent. As if it's on the level of a gun used in the death of a border agent that looks to have been sold to a mexican drug cartel by current US Attorney General Eric Holder. But what a surprise! THIS is Obama/NBC news' top story! The humorous thing about NBC's super charged reaction is that GE has a criminal rap sheet miles and decades long. Ge a grip man, what these people at News Corp did was twisted and criminal and should be prosecuted, but it does not reach the level of "Fast and Furious." A story which is obviously being squashed by the government run MSM. -
If Poz leaves, will you be upset??
1billsfan replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When there's a eight page thread of fans debating whether they'd be upset if one of their starting inside linebackers leaves or not, that doesn't seem like a very good indictment of the linebacker in question. Back in the day, would there ever have been a thread like this regarding Bennett or Talley? -
The Obama-ization of America
1billsfan replied to DaveinElma's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This is a good article on the subject of welfare... http://mnprager.wordpress.com/2011/06/02/blacks-encouraged-by-government-to-stay-dependent-john-stossel-writes/ Maybe they should lower the minimum wage, cut back on "welfare state" programs, start handing out huge fines for the hiring of illegals (which in turn creates jobs for Americans), create programs targeting the training of a skilled labor force in the inner city, use that labor to build up the cities, incentivize contractors to use this new labor force. That would be a good start. -
I'm really looking forward to seeing how Maybin performs with this being his "do or die" training camp.
-
Three things to touch on about Aaron Maybin... 1. He was like a little kid both emotionally and physically when we drafted him in 2009 (I think he was only 20 at the time) 2. He's only been in the league two years and there are many stars who took longer than that to become good or even great players. 3. We have Dave Wannstadt who knows a thing or two about what it takes to mold championship level linebackers. I've never been a fan of the Maybin pick, but I think we all need to dial the trashing back a little and give him this last year to see if he learns, grows and matures into the #1 pick he was intended to be. Aaron is one of the stars that we need to have align this year for us to go to the playoffs. Those three factors give me hope that Maybin can still turn his career around in a big way. But this is obviously his last year to prove something.

Raise The Debt Limit Already!
1billsfan replied to Dave_In_Norfolk's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
...Obamacare, stimulus, tripling the debt... Balance things out? "Everything would be fine if we just got those darn corporate jet taxes from those mean and greedy rich people!" Delusional much. Eat our peas? America has been forced to eat nothing but peas for the last two and a half years since they either don't have jobs or are making a lot less than they once were because you and your policies suck. It's a proven fact now. He sucks. Anyone who wants to follow Obama and thinks we should take any advice or direction from him is completely wacked. -
Try reading the thread title. It was a comparison opening. Just like my reply to LA was based on a comparison. You're calling me immature when you're the one using profanity? That's an interesting take.
-
Hey potty mouth, the title of this thread is "Casey got away but." Please tell us what that has to do with UN consular agreements.

I'm no where close to being a lawyer, but let's try this link... http://www.lectlaw.com/def/d080.htm "The idea that laws and legal proceedings must be fair. The Constitution guarantees that the government cannot take away a person's basic rights to 'life, liberty or property, without due process of law.'" You don't know what "basic right to life" means, do you?
-
I believe that a law which bans partial birth abortions is related to due process. More specifically, it relates to the babies born alive who are killed.
-
The subject matter is about Obama and the law in regards to the ending of a human life. Obama's history with partial birth abortions falls under that umbrella. If my bringing it up upsets you than that's your problem.
-
What's interesting to me is Obama's opposition to the ban on partial birth abortions in comparison to his support of a reprieve of that slug's life.
-
He's a pro-european/socialist style country so he really can't be called "PRO-American".

Bachman vs Obama One person has the balls to say they are against gay marriage and the other person doesn't have the balls to say they are for it (going so far as to dodge the simple question during a press conference in front of the national press and entire country) because their black, hispanic, islamic and jewish base are discriminatory against gay marriage. Does the OP really want to go there? Does the OP really want Obama to show that he has a pair and get on record with this issue?
-
This might be the first time I've ever agreed with you. Bachman looks to be a very attractive candidate for anyone looking to completely undo the Obama cluster**ck we got going on right now. She appears to be everything that Obama isn't...pro-American, pro-reducing government, pro-jobs, anti-union, anti-amnesty, pro-drilling. BTW, these aren't "extreme" views. I still need to see a lot more of her to back her 100%, but she seems like a pretty good good candidate so far. My one big drawback with her is that she's a congresswoman and we have seen what happens when you get someone in that job who's never run anything big like a state. My hope is that Chris Christie will jump in and she can end up being the VP candidate. Game, set, match.

Raise The Debt Limit Already!
1billsfan replied to Dave_In_Norfolk's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Thank you for finding that for me. I forgot about posting it. Great commentary there by Charles. For the guy who made the not-so-complimentary accusatory proclamation that I listen to Rush then parrot what ever he says here. Even if I did, who cares. The reason why no one should care is because it turns out that all of the clown-like acts of Rush, Beck and Hannity were right about Obama all along. Can anyone dispute this? For the record, I get my news and commentary from a smattering of Real Clear Politics, Fox News, Drudge, Newbusters, Rush, Hannity, John Batchelor and Doug McIntyre of Red Eye Radio (by far the best radio guy in the country). I'm unapologetic about it. BTW, this is coming from a former democrat and someone who was a big fan of Bill Clinton...LOL I hated Rush up until the 2008 elections. I currently think his radio show is tolerable but only in small portions. So yes, I do tune in from time to time. Not sure why admitting it is so controversial. For those who are interested, Red Eye Radio (FYI, Doug wasn't in on July 3rd so you'll have to choose an earlier podcast to listen to him)... http://www.wabcradio.com/sectional.asp?id=37817 -
a real example of class warfare
1billsfan replied to birdog1960's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Wall Street took advantage of a corrupt and dangerous policy started by Democrats and put it on steroids. The ball rolling was put in motion by the Democrats. Wall Street was complicit in the downfall. It's too bad that the republicans, and Bush in particular, was too afraid to stop the nonsense, Bush used up all of his political capital on the wars and had no fight in him to truly deal with the sup prime situation. There's that and his buddies were probably making a lot of money too. Everyone had a hand in it. But there's no disputing who started the whole mess. I can't believe that Johnson and Raines are not sitting in jail right now. -

1billsfan replied to birdog1960's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Considering that this review was written by the far left economist Robert Reich and he does not dispute the facts of where the crisis started, to me it's damning evidence that the Democrats are truly the ones to blame. The facts are indisputable. Blaming Wall Street is like blaming a hooker for turning tricks. They saw the opportunity to make fast money and surprise surprise they took it! The blame of where this all started gets put at the feet of the Democrats. -

You can't be serious. I don't know if you're lying or sadly misinformed...... http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/29/books/review/book-review-reckless-endangerment-by-gretchen-morgenson-and-joshua-rosner.html "The authors, Gretchen Morgenson, a Pulitzer Prize-winning business reporter and columnist at The New York Times, and Joshua Rosner, an expert on housing finance, deftly trace the beginnings of the collapse to the mid-1990s, when the Clinton administration called for a partnership between the private sector and Fannie and Freddie to encourage home buying. The mortgage agencies’ government backing was, in effect, a valuable subsidy, which was used by Fannie’s C.E.O., James A. Johnson, to increase home ownership while enriching himself and other executives. A 1996 study by the Congressional Budget Office found that Fannie pocketed about a third of the subsidy rather than passing it on to homeowners. Over his nine years heading Fannie, Johnson personally took home roughly $100 million. His successor, Franklin D. Raines, was treated no less lavishly." Clinton, Johnson, Raines...ALL DEMOCRATS!!!!!!
