ok all you neocons, teabaggers and libber-tear-uhns!
1billsfan replied to Bishop Hedd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Christie, Romney, Gulliani, Palin, Cain, Perry There's six solid people who I think would effectively turn this country around from the Detroit-like, Titanic-like liberal policies. Barry's a proven failure. A proven category five disaster. Care to argue he's not? He couldn't run a lemonade stand successfully if he tried. It's not even a debate anymore. But go ahead an laugh at Romney and the Tea Party. Speaking of the Tea Party, weren't they the ones who kicked your sorry asses in the mid term elections? Not sure why they're so funny to you, but so be it. I suggest that you enjoy these last few months of the "chosen one's" first and only term. -
I'm curious, what would this Weiner have to do for the liberals on this board to not support him? I've come to the conclusion if he were screwing animals that you guys would have his back. I'm still not getting how Andrew Breitbart and Fox News are the bad guys in the Weiner scandal. It's become pathetic. I'm embarrassed for you guys.

Someone should tell the post that this is what you get when you help elect a slick talking complete novice for President of the United States. You get a complete novice who'll try to slick talk you into thinking that the country isn't in the disastrous state that it's currently in. They're just catching on now? Wow.

Don't you liberals have another messenger target to go after, TMZ?... http://www.tmz.com/2011/06/06/anthony-weiner-congressman-sex-text-twitter-kcover-up-facebook-photo-women-admitted-wrongdoing-press-conference-penis-picture-apologized/ Weiner lied in yesterday's press conference when he said that he didn't attempt to tell people to lie to cover this up. I suppose TMZ is an !@#$ now?
-
Dude, you're on a Buffalo board and you have the nerve to say such a silly thing? BTW, it would probably be very interesting to read that Lee thread now.
-
Hey! This is not fair! Exactly how did TMZ "learn" this? Did she receive payment?...LOL
-
Since you probably watch NBC a lot, I can understand your confusion here. They were gained by someone doing their due diligence as an investigative reporter on a tip that a Democratic US Congressman was tweetting his junk out to strangers. Brian Williams could care less last week that a well known US Congressman was tweeting his junk out to strangers. It's called investigative journalism. It's called doing your job.
-
Hey jack@ss, you yourself said that he should resign. Let's talk about reality. Congressman Weiner not only sent pictures of his junk to thousands of strangers, but he doubled down by boldly lying about it in preset interviews at his request with all of the major news networks. There is not one self respecting politician or citizen who will support him after doing this. That's reality.

Way to make yourself clear.

Yawn? Really? When public office holders engage in this type of behavior it could lead to bribery thus possibly leading this person in an authoritative position to compromise their decision making regarding public money and/or votes. It doesn't matter what party you're representing, this is an automatic political career ender. Apparently Weiner's still delusional and also in denial. This further diminishes the credibility of the MSM (if that's still even possible) as an objective and bipartisan media outlet. I wonder if Brian Williams thinks this is still a yawner story which should be ignored.
-
The new normal... Andrew Breitbart > Brian Williams Weiner and Williams should both resign.

Congratulations on maintaining your reign as king crack head of the PPP board. I truly feel sorry for your warped and twisted view of America and life in general. You have no clue, and the first time you get one will be the best day this board has even seen.

Seriously? That's the best you can do? 77,000 federal workers have higher salaries than governors and thats the question you come up with? Simply amazing. I get that there are families in need, but a 39% increase tells to me that the working people of America are being overrun by a bunch of freeloaders. I wonder how many of these people in the 39 percentile have cell phones…have extended cable packages… Christie gets a "Get Out of Jail" free card from this New Jersey resident. He's saved this state from ruin. However, he better not make this kind of stupid mistake again.
-
73% - the increase in the amount of federally owned limousines under Obama 77,000 - number of federal workers who are paid more than governors 39% - increase in food stamp recipients under Obama Have the "saps" in the middle had enough of the "shared" sacrifice yet?

Yards per attempt is a ridiculous stat to rate QBs. I'm LMAO reading the posts of you twisting yourself into a pretzel trying to argue how a throwaway stat like YPA is the way that you judge the greats. Yards Per Attempt 2010 - Brady 5th, Brees 16th, Manning 18th 2009 - Manning 8th, Brady 11th 2008 - Manning 11th, Rothlesberger 17th TDs 2010 - Brady 1st, Manning 2nd, Brees 3rd, 2009 - Brees 1st, Manning 2nd, Favre 3rd 2008 - Brees 1st, Rivers 2nd, Warner 3rd

Excuse me, but where do you get off painting Edwards as a sympathetic figure? "Put into an almost untenable situation on some horribly bad team"? Dude, Trent Edwards was the WORST PLAYER on the team!!!!! He was so so disgustingly bad that they cut his ass two games into the season!!!! But you apparently think Bills fans to feel sorry for Trent???? Not only that, but you also paint Kelly and Fitzpatrick as some sort of weak-kneed panty waists who would turn away from a challenging situation. Wow, you guys have some seriously warped opinions. I'm embarrassed for you after reading what you guys have written.
-
Well that's your problem right there. I'd advise you to concentrate more on the touchdown pass stat when evaluating quarterbacks. That way you'll have a lower probability of making foolish statements like your comparison of Fitzpatrick to Edwards. Fitzpatrick is a hundred times better than Edwards. Edwards couldn't find the flippin' endzone if Dakota Fanning was doing cartwheels in it.
-
That's truly an idiotic statement. In Edwards' best season he had a measly 11 touchdown passes. Fitzpatrick had 23 last year. Yet you dare to compare the two? Are you dumb? Am I the only one here laughing at these "bold" and idiotic statements being made in this thread? Comparing Edwards to Fitzpatrick? Seriously? WOW, you guys seriously need to stop sniffing the paint thinner brother. It's a good thing that Jim Kelly never played during the modern internet era. In his 11 seasons, Kelly "only" passed the "magical" 60% completion rate 4 times. Dan Marino's career completion percentage is 59%. Ryan Fitzpatrick puts the flippin' ball into the flippin' end zone. If you guys can't see that or don't appreciate that then fine, but don't think you can get away with wildly stupid statements like that one that you made here and not get called out for it.
-
Well it's good to have a consensus on something! I'm coming to the point where this debate of Fitzpatrick is pointless. He's only signed for this year. There's really no worries one way or the other. Either he hits one out of the park by leading our team to a winning season and maybe playoffs, or he's gone and we draft a first round QB next year. Even the Fitzpatrick supporters aren't going to want to give him a second chance being that he's 28 years old. This is it. At least there's not the "which QB should start" debate that we've had this last decade. I said it before and I'll say it again, that first game against KC will be a big one for Fitzpatrick. He needs to start winning and beating an average like KC is key to getting his season and his team off on the right foot.

I was wrong and I apologize to BillsVet. It was early in the morning, I got pissed and ended up going off on what I thought I saw on profootballreference. Go ahead give it to me, I deserve it. For every stat that the bashers provide, there are equally positive stats that show a markedly improved QB in 2010 than Fitzpatrick's previous years as a starter. It's not quite Drew Brees like, but the swing in improvement was certainly there. Add to the fact that the dirty little secret in Bills land (is and that NO ONE here talks about) was the complete lack of a running game and the worst defense in the league that never shortened the field for our boy. We'll see who's right in 2011 because this is the very definition of a "make or break" season for Fitzpatrick. There will be no gray area. He either gets our team close to or in the playoffs and looking great doing it on a consistent basis, or the Bills are picking a QB in the first round next year. 2008? Really? This is getting ridiculous. Nobody's disputing that Fitzpatrick was a bad QB in 2008. He was a 7th round pick that obviously had a long learning curve ahead of him.
-
One thing you Fitzpatrick bashers are good at and that's lying about his stats. You lied three times there buddy. That's a hard thing to do considering it was such a short post. It's pretty pathetic when you have to lie to bash a stand up guy like Ryan Fitzpatrick.
-
People like me who believe he's still on the rise as a player, and still has franchise potential, have provided their evidence hundreds of times by now. You disagree, we get it. Just don't expect us to waste our time trying to convince you.
-
I couldn't take him seriously, so I didn't even bother...LOL Fitzpatrick flipped the switch at the end of the 2009 season, continued his consistency in 2010 and will have a better than good chance to become the Bills franchise player after a stellar 2011. He'll have to beat teams like the Patriots and Jets to do that though, but I believe that he's got the goods. I normally don't place a whole lot into one game, but that first game against the Chiefs is a big one for Fitzpatrick. If he doesn't either lead the Bills to a win or at least have a very good day (if it's a loss), then that would not be a good sign. At 28, there's no more time to lose. He knows that 2011 is make or break for his career with the Bills. So realizing this, you've got to beat the average teams whether it's on the road or not.
-
That's a very dumb statement considering he was 13th in TD passes with only 13 freaking starts.

Bradshaw, Plunkett, Fouts, Simms, Moon, Testaverde, Warner, Gannon, Hasselbeck, Brees I think the past few years of QBs doing well right out of the gate has skewed fans' perceptions of what's considered the "normal" rate of progression of the NFL QB. The answer is that of all the top QBs that have played in this league, the rate of progression varies from immediate success to around Fitzpatirck's age of 28. Fitzpatrick has all the earmarks of an "old school" taking a few years to learn the ropes kind of a guy. Of all the top QBs that have played this game, probably around 25- 30 percent took till the age of 28 to become a top QB. Way back before last year's Baltimore game, I posted a thread showing that Fitzpatrick was putting up numbers that suggested he was a late bloomer. The rest of the 2010 season only confirmed my belief this was the case. I get that there are fans here that need more confirmation. He does need to become even better that what he is right now. The next step of progression for Fitzpatrick is to start beating good teams like the Patriots and Jets.
